[√] Echo of Silence (OSRS)
I've been an active clanner for a sum of almost two years. I started my account in 2010, but I've been more attracted to the older version of RuneScape from the start. My friends played it in 2nd grade, but my parents didn't allow me to play since I had to lie about my age in order to play the game. After another 6 years, I began my account and *officially* clanned after my first year playing with the Elite Assassins. I left EA for my first time after 6 months of being a member and elite member due to leadership being annoying, so I ran to Dark Redemption where I would become Warlord.
Dark Redemption literally had the best community you could possibly imagine; we all got along perfectly, nobody ever complained, wars were fun, forums were incredibly active, it was the whole package deal. Charlydog4, with his trusty booter, decided to kill off Dark Redemption because me leaving EA put them into the same slump as when I had joined. It increased their activity, and after DR died, Charly requested me to rejoin. I also joined a team called Critical Damage around this time. The members sneered at me most of the time, so I could never re-establish a connection with my friends like it had been, so later left for another clan called Holy Knights, who quickly accepted me as their Commander after my experience in Dark Redemption.
Holy Knights was pretty decent. We had a limited amount of decent callers, but we managed well. After the death of Envy, creating Enigma, we recruited the members from Enigma after they had also died. We started to fight slightly larger clans/teams and performed well. Due to me being PST, I was being denied the chance to call because I wasn't there at the beginning of the mass, and they knew that. I grew frustrated that they denied me the right, especially when the TeamSpeak went silent during wars and I wasn't given voice. With the joining of Dr Dead Ant from Enigma, he slowly changed the face of Holy Knights and eventually influenced the leader, Snipezz, so much as to derank Ice Note to the Council position, when he obviously did more than Snipezz ever did, and from that point, Ice Note knew he made a mistake to trust DDA. They died a week after I left, and I laughed my heart out at the situation.
I rejoined EA, yet again, because I could not find a clan that suited my difficult time zone. We fought well, I stayed for just a little while until I left to join Echo of Silence weeks after my one-day trial with them. Oli returned to EOS, which brought the activity up by 40% instantly, and our wars got to be extremely fun. We started smacking clans as Oli warmed up after a long absence, and we started a crash war with Solace for being too cocky to handle.
The crash war sparked interest with The Titans and Violent Resolution, as they joined the mixture somehow. It was fine as a 2v2, until their side dragged in Collision, then Wilderland, then The Kings and Legion of Souls. Genesis developed their own crash war against Pure Hatred, who dragged in Downfall. Genesis handled them somewhat okay, but they felt the need to ally with us, bringing in two MORE clans into the mixture, totalling a whopping 8 clans on their side. Solace began crashing team Critical Damage since they had so many EOS and VR members, which dragged them into the mixture (which brought TK and LS). It was from that day on, it was 3.5 clans against 8 clans. We were HEAVILY outnumbered every single cluster, but performance on our side never faltered, considering the other side having twice, if not three times as many members as ours.
The crash war escalated to DDoSing, IRL leaks, forum leaks, hacking, and major disputes on Zybez. It got to the point where it was nasty. EOS demanded that Genesis leave the crash war, which they did by creating an apology topic to members of Pure Hatred and Downfall, but PH and DF still did not leave, as EOS had leaked their forums and members already. EOS received an influx of members from Genesis, adding solid tanks and hybrids to our member base. With Oli's superior leadership, we were able to lead the new recruits to battle with an incomparable force, as EOS, VR and CD took on 8 clans every week of the crash war, in multiple days.
VR's quality began to plummet as members got bored of taking on so many clans at once, and their numbers diminished. We began taking the discouraged members to our clan, and a lot of them joined. VR would then bring around 40 members to our 80. EOS climbed and climbed to the point where we brought 123 EOS members to fight the forces of evil. CD later left the crash war to simply just fight TK, and they settled their dispute outside of the world war.
As EoC neared, Echo of Silence and Violent Resolution claimed the victory of the last crash war of RS2. Echo of Silence entered hibernation in the hopes of a new entity to RuneScape, or the collapse of EoC and reintroduction of an older-version RuneScape. I joined Elite Assassins to become a Mentor, and we climbed to the top, with teams in the mixture. I became the main caller of EA until it closed and I later became a Warlord in Critical Damage, a rank I held for about 3 months until I left because of certain officials and members. I wasn't clanless when I left, since OSRS had been launched and I rejoined EOS.
I'm now with Echo of Silence for good, and I don't plan on changing it!
