You can't deny most of the staff overmoderating my stuff
I can and am.
I got topics closed for rules that don't even exist, or were modified
I've been asked for extra proof to prove something happened but theres no proof it didn't (from the people who reported the topics)
The onus is on the person making the claim. Take a read here: <a data-ipb="nomediaparse" data-cke-saved-href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russell"href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russell" s_teapot"="">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russell's_teapot
recently for example, a Leak topic of mine got deleted, but my enemies Leak topic only got closed, you say its the same, but closed its different from being deleted
I don't really want to rehash this silly debate but to sum up:
-Both Topics contained a leak which is against the rules.
-The object of moderating this kind of rule break is to remove the leak and prevent discussion.
-The two different ways the two seperate members of staff went about it achieved the goal above.
rules were never applied equally
We tried our best but with our rule set and the number of different staff members we have every little infraction wasn't going to get the exact same treatment.
all the staff has to say its I complain too much
I get you all don't get paid for moderating and don't have much time, then you should have recruited more decent people to the staff.
I'm not sure if you've read the CD boards but "decent people" are hard to come by in our game. Whether that's because those posters were drove away by us being too lenient and allowing too much clan world toxicity or whether we were too strict for the current clan world is another discussion entirely.
If zybez ever reopens (I hope you do), maybe more transparency from the staff and lighter moderation would be pleasing.
http://forums.zybez..../#entry17223936 and you should bring it up with senior admins whoever they may be over there.
Adenina has a point regarding how leaks are moderated. Had the same situation happen where my clan posted a leak and Magick (a biased mod) deleted the video out of the post and then locked it but when another clan posted a leak the topic was locked but the video remained (which is the goal of posting leaks on zybez anyways).
**** like this is very clearly intentional whether you want to recognize that or not. In regards to the bias being a result of whether posts are reported or not that's a fair point but shouldn't mods be out there reviewing most topics on their own anyways? There's dozens of mods on Zybez and you each are assigned to only certain forums to monitor and given the massive slow down on Zybez it's actually not that difficult to moderate. All of our own clan forums have hundreds of thousands of posts that we moderate with just a few ranks I don't see why Zybez can't be held to the same standard. If mods weren't capable of consistently reviewing topics then additional mods or replacements mods needed to be promoted.
To put into perspective how bad the lack of proper moderation has gotten on these forums - about a half a dozen members from a certain clan doxed a member who spied on them and posted their dead family member's irl picture in a bunch of their avatars. Those avatars were there for WEEKS and I'd wager many probably still are and you guys are so out of touch you have no idea that this even happened or that the avatars I'm referring to are even of this.
Want more proof of bias? In 2015 someone in Cutthroat volunteered to judge the pkvots as did 3 or 4 other people from various teams. The people on the judging committee (including a mod mentioned above) all agreed to vote against a certain team's video to ensure it would not win pkvots simply because none of them liked the team. I don't like the team either but what a joke lol. We didn't participate in anything else after that.
More? Moderators in the Zybez Discord actively kick people they don't agree with and basically refuse to moderate anything else. I called a mod out on doing this once for not moderating (when that's literally his title) and he got angry and kicked me. When I explained he could lose his rank for what he did he got so scared that he deleted all the messages he had posted in the discord. You can check the server audit logs from 6/29 for spoonheb if you think I'm wrong.
Good riddance to this website honestly.
