Those players who have completed the Dragon Slayer quest will already be able to get anti-dragonbreath shields from the Duke of Lumbridge. Oziach the Master Smith has recently found a way for members to upgrade this shield using a draconic visage - a powerful artefact from a forgotten age that is only occasionally dropped by powerful dragons. Combining the draconic visage with the anti-dragonbreath shield will result in a new type of shield: the dragonfire shield.

The dragonfire shield's power relies on storing dragonfire. The shield absorbs dragonfire just like the anti-dragonbreath shield, but every time it does so its stats become a little more powerful. The shield is also effective against the breath of skeletal wyverns (although it won't store any of it). The stored dragonfire can also be released by operating the shield, slightly reducing the shield's stats but firing a blast of dragonfire at an opponent!

On the topic of dragons, we've also updated Crandor to make it look more like the woeful place it became after Elvarg arrived. You'll also notice that the dungeon connecting Crandor to Karamja has been improved, and Elvarg's lair looks much more like a place a dragon might choose to live.
Summary

Requirements to make the dragonfire shield

Anti-dragonbreath shield
Draconic visage
Level 90 Smithing (if you don't want to pay Oziach to make it for you)

Requirements to use the dragonfire shield

Level 75 Defence

75 defense requirement is a little bit .. hmm.. insane
i am afraid we would face something requiring only 99 def to wield and 99 smithing to make

Charged Antidragon shield Def bonuses: stab +70 slash +75 crush +72 magic +10 ranged +72  str bonus +7
Just for comparsion: Dragon Sq sheild: stab +50 slash +52 crush +48 magic +00 ranged +50  str 0

Quote

To charge your dragonfire shield you will need to fight dragons. As the shield still holds all the abilities of an anti-dragonbreath shield, you will be protected from most of the damage of the dragon's flame. Each time the shield protects you, it will charge up, storing the power of the breath to be unleashed later.

A dragonfire shield can hold fifty charges of dragon's breath. To see how many charges your shield has, right-click on it and select 'Inspect'.

To discharge the flame, right-click on the equipped shield while you are in combat and select 'Operate'. The shield will then fire a deadly blast of fiery energy at your opponent, potentially inflicting massive damage. The shield will need to cool down for a while before you can unleash its flames again.

~ The shield can hold up to fifty charges, and each charge stored within it will add +1 to its stab, slash, crush and ranged defence. So, for example, with 30 charges stored it will have + 50 stab defence, + 55 slash defence, + 52 crush defence, + 10 magic defence and + 52 ranged defence.

It may be interesting to have many charged shields in inventory instantly swapping them and releasing all
the damage at duel arena :)
Massive Damages sounds attractive, all the rest (stats and requrements) are just OMG, OMG!!

I'm at Skeletal Wyverns right now seeing what Jagex changed about their drops. Granite legs on 14th kill, and a bunch of mith+ bolts.

When someone gets the visage, please post here with the look, what dropped it and how many kills(if possible), and also how much Oziach charges.

I see the rain does not respect state lines, why should you?

Just thinking of a good dark bow spec plus the shield, you could say death.

The dragonfire shield looks pretty good.  Should be interesting to see the max hit too!  I wonder if it's tradeable...
