1.0 [Introduction]

During the reading of this guide you should learn how to maximize your profit from one of the most annoying skills in the game Herblore. The best thing about this skill is many people are willing to pump lots of money into this skill for quick and easy exp, this is where you come in. By expending that little time that someone else does not want to do you can make lots of money very fast.


2.0 [Vials]
The Requirements and suggestions listed here are overall ones where the ones listed only under a sub-heading are case specific.
Requirements.

• 12,000-100,000 gp

Suggested items.

• Boots of lightness
  
  
• Spotter/Spottier Cape
  
  
• Pennance Gloves

After you have as many vials as you want log into the forums and create a post selling Water Filled Vials for 200ea. This method can be hard sometimes because you get bored of doing the same thing and you can not always find a buyer.

Hint.
Try posting on the forums after you have 1,000 Vials and keep buying more while trying to find a buyer on the forums.


2.1 [Ardounge General Store]

[1]Withdraw around 12-100k from the bank and put everything but your weight reducing gear in the bank.

2.4 [Mort'ton General Store]
Requirements

• In Aid of the Myreque Quest

[1]Withdraw around 12-100k from the bank and put everything but your weight reducing gear in the bank.
[2]Follow the Red Line from the bank
[3]Buy as many vials as are in stock.
[4]Follow the red path back to the bank deposit and repeat.
[5]If the store runs out of stock log out select another world and repeat steps 2-4

3.0 [Secondary's]
In this section I will go over different ways to gather secondary items or the item used to make a potion besides the herb itself.

3.1 [Snape Grass]
Requirements.

• Water Staff

One of the better ways to make money and get mage exp at the same time is collecting Snape Grass. There are multiple areas in Runescape to obtain this item but Waterbirth is one of the fastest with the most spawns and respawn rate.

[1]Equip your water staff, amulet of glory, Duel ring, and weight reducing gear.
[2]Cast your Teleport to Waterbirth spell.
[3]Run to the south-west spawn point
[4]Gather the snape grass as it spawns.
[5]Teleport back to Edgeville, bank and repeat.You can use rings of dueling here also.

Hint.
Use the level 73 Waterbirth group teleport spell and you and up to 2 other friends can gather snape grass at the same time. It doesn't even require more runes as long as you are using a water staff.

3.2 [Mort Myre Fungi]

Stats/Items Required:

- 60 Prayer
- 48 Construction
- Silver sickle ( b )
- 200 Law runes   } Used for building a Canifis portal in your house;
- 200 Blood runes } If you already have one then you don't need these.

- House teleport runes Tablets also work

Stats Highly Recommended:

- 70+ prayer

Quests Required:

- Priest in Peril
- Started Nature Spirit


Now to explain. You will be picking Mort Myre Fungi.
The higher your prayer the better, this is because in the swamp your prayer will drain 1-3 points every time you cast bloom.
The construction is for teleporting to your house and praying at your alter, then going through the Canifis teleport alter (Its name Kharill or something).

-Anywho-

Start by getting the required stats. Construction you get get up most easily by cutting regular logs and going to the sawmill. You will want to move onto oak logs as soon as you can because regular planks uses nails. However as this is not a construction guide I will not tell you what to make ect.

Prayer is gotten up most efficiently by using someones Gilded Alter. You get 252xp per dragon bone used there, and level 60 is at 273,742 xp. So just minus your prayer xp from 273,742 and divide the answer by 252. That will give you however many bones that you need for 60 prayer.
Anyone with a gilded alter will tell you how to do it because it's quite simple.


The next thing to do is to build an oak (or higher if you have the level) alter, and a Kharill/Canifis teleport portal. This is where you need the 200 laws and 200 blood runes.

OK- If you have all that stuff then we can get on with the main part of the guide!



Basically you start in Canifis bank. Only bring house teleport runes and your silver sickle, and make sure you have full prayer points! Follow the path as shown on the map, down to the gate of the Mort Myre Swamp. Enter. Stand beside two logs (because then you have the chance of getting two fungi in one bloom), and cast bloom (by right clicking the sickle and clicking 'operate', as shown in the picture). Pick up the fungi and repeat this process of casting bloom and picking up the fungi.
Once you either run out of prayer points, or have a full inventory, then teleport to your house and charge your prayer. Use the portal to go back to Canifis and bank your fungi. Repeat this process as many times as desired.

Now, here's the best part about doing this. Mort Myre Fungi sells for 1k each!
It takes about 3-4 minutes per trip depending on how fast you do it, But I worked it out to be around 400k an hour.

You can see in this picture how I have got my alter set up. The purple portal on the left is the exit of my house, it is also where I come in when I teleport.
The white portal on the right is the Canifis teleport.

3.3 [White Berries]
White berries are a second that are not bought as commonly as most but people do buy them and usually in very large numbers.


3.31 [Red dragon lair]
Requirements

• 57 Woodcutting
  
• Axe
  
• Anti-Dragon shield
  
• Charged glory

Recommendations

• Weight reducing gear
  
• High level agility

Follow the Red path from edgeville, make a wakka when you reach the canoe tree.
Run North following the red path until you reach the berries.
After you have enough berries follow the blue path and teleport when you reach level 30 wilderness.

The spots where the people are standing are the spawn points.



3.32 [Elven lands]
This way can be much faster and less dangerous than the wilderness way if you have the stats and quests done.

Requirements

• Regicide Quest Started
  
• 56 Agility
  
• Tiny Elf crystals

Recommendations

• Weight reducing gear
  
• Lobsters or cake

Follow the red path to get to the berry spawn. The green circles are traps.
After you have enough berries teleport with your elf crystal and follow the blue path to the bank


This is where the one spawn point is.



4.0 [Unid Herbs]
In this section I will go over different ways to gather unid herbs or herbs that a play does not identify so as to get the same price for all sold..


4.1 [Taverly Dungeon Chaos Druids]
Stats/Items required.

• Rune or better weapon.
  
• Mithril or better armour.

Stats/Items suggested.

• Some food if your a lower level.
  
• Weight reducing gear.
  
• Falador Teleport
  
• Games Necklace

Follow the Red line if you have Level 5+ and are coming from Falador.
Follow the Blue line if you cant use the agility shortcut and are coming from Falador.
Follow the green line if you are using games necklaces.

Climb down the ladder and follow the Red or Blue line to the Chaos druids.


I will only mention what to do once you arrive once as its the same for all three places
Kill the chaos druids picking up the herbs they drop.
Once your inventory is full teleport out, bank and repeat.

4.2 [Edgeville dungeon Chaos Druids]
Please not that this method holds the low risk of pker's. If your are properly prepared you should be able to evade them but know that you enter the wilderness at your own risk.
Stats/Items required.

• Rune or better weapon.
  
• Mithril or better armour.

Stats/Items suggested.

• Some food if your a lower level or worried about pker's.
  
• Weight reducing gear.
  
• Charged Glory's
  
• Ancient mage Edgeville Teleport.

Follow the red line.
Blue dot is where you teleport to if on ancients.




4.3 [Ardounge Chaos Druids]
This method is much safer than edgeville dungeon but at the cost of many less druids and it can get crowded with more than one person killing druids.
Stats/Items required.

• Rune or better weapon.
  
• Mithril or better armour.
  
• Lockpick
  
• 46+ Thieving

Stats/Items suggested.

• Some food if your a lower level.
  
• Weight reducing gear.

Follow the red line from bank if you have Level 33 Agility.
Follow the blue line if you cant use log bridge.

Pick the lock on the door and kill chaos druids picking up the herbs they drop.
Once your inventory is full retrace your steps and bank.

4.4 [Salarin the Twisted]
This section is basically a stub that list the gear needed and how to get there but for more information go here or use the one provided at the bottom of the section.


Requirements

Skills:

• 62, 64, or 67 agility. 62: Use a summer pie, 64: Use an agililty potion, 67: You don't need anything.
  
• A combat level around 50-60. (high enough to kill a level 70)
  
  Items:
  
• Staff of Fire
  
• About 500 mind runes and 1000 air runes
  
• Knife
  
• Small amount of food
  
• Agility potion or Summer pie (unless you have 67 agility)
  
• Anti-poison potions
  
• Ring of Wealth (Greatly helps)
  
• Ring of Dueling (not needed but helps somewhat)
  
• Melee Weapon (optional)
  
• Boots of Lightness (optional)
  
• Spottier cape (optional

Here's a picture of what you inventory should look like. I had already drank my agility potion. So that empty vial should be full.

You can also wear this if your going to not use the safe spot.  Explained later on in the guide. This setup requires no knife.


Note these are the best possible setups for each style you can always downgrade

Getting to Salarin

82 Thieving Way:

Go in the little house south-west of the Yanille bank, and go down the stairs.

62/64 Agility Way:

Go out of Yanille and head west, use your knife with the web to slash it, climb down the stairs.

Then follow the path past the bats to Balancing Ledge, go over it (40 Agility Required) to the other side

Then follow the path south then east to the Monkeybars, swing across them (57 Agility required)

Then go east, past the chaos druids, then north down the staircase, you will end up in a room looking like this, climb up the rubble (use agility potion or summer pie if needed) and you will see Salarin the Twisted and a couple chaos druids.

5.1 [Herb Farming]
While farming can be considered a very boring skill due to the long waits and the inability to be constantly getting xp in it the skill can be quite profitable. Here is a list of what you should get before you start if you have never farmed before or done very little of it.
Items needed for farming

• Rake
  
• Seed Dibbler
  
• Spade
  
• Secateurs
  
• Gardening trowel
  
• Watering can

Items suggested for farming

• Compost/Super Compost
  
• Plant Cure
  
• Magic Secateurs

After you have all that deposit it in the Leprechaun storage.

And it should look something like this.

5.12 [Getting Seeds]
Getting your seeds can be done through 3 different methods of collection. These are done through either Thieving, Combat, or Buying from other players.


Many players sell their seeds in this location of the Falador marketplace on world 2
Thieving
Currently master farmers are the only NPC that can be thieved for herb seeds
Requirements

• 38 Thieving

Suggestions

• Food
  
• Teleports
  
• Gloves of silence

There are currently 3 different spots that master farmers can be found.

The green path is the Draynor master farmers.
The red path is the Ardougne master farmer.
The blue path is the Varrock master farmer.

As you can see the Draynor location is much closer to a bank and thus saving much time.

Strategy
There are two different strategy's you can use depending on what you want to do.
Method #1

[1]Bank all your items at the nearest bank
[2]Start stealing from the farmers until you reach appx. 10hp
[3]Bank the seeds you wish to keep
[4]Go back to the farmer and steal seeds until your dead
[5]Spawn in Lumbridge/Falador run to bank and withdraw charged glory
[6]Teleport to Draynor and repeat

Method #2

[1]Bank all your items at the nearest bank
[2]Start stealing from the farmers until your low on hp
[3]Run to the bank deposit seeds and heal
[4]Run back to farmers and repeat

5.13 [Farm Spots]
Suggestions

The white path is the Port Phasmatys location, the best way to get here is either with an ectophial or through a Canifis portal in your house
The blue path is the Ardougne North location, the best way to get here is with an Ardougne teleport
The pink path is the Catherby North location, the best way to get here is with an Camelot teleport
The red path is the Troll Stronghold Rooftop location unlocked through the completion of My Arm's Big Adventure, the best way to get here is with a Trollheim teleport.
The green path is the Falador South location, the best way to get here is either with a Falador teleport or a Draynor Village glory teleport.

The blue path is the Ardougne South location, the best way to get here is with a Ardougne teleport

The green path is the Etceteria location, the best way to get here is through fairy ring teleport CIP
The pink path is the Rimmington location, the best way to get here is a house teleport or a Falador teleport


Fruit Tree Locations

The pink path is the Tree Gnome Maze West location, the best way to get here is through spirit tree teleport
The blue path is the Brimhaven West location, the best way to get here is riding the boat from Ardounge or the cart from Shilo Village
The green path is the Tree Gnome Stronghold location, the best way to get here is through spirit tree teleport
The red path is the Catherby East location, the best way to get here is through a Camelot teleport


Tree Locations

The pink path is the Varrock Castle location, the best way to get here is a Varrock teleport
The purple path is the Falador Park location, the best way to get here is a Falador teleport
The blue path is the Tree Gnome Stronghold location, the best way to get here is through spirit tree teleport

5.3 [Kingdom Management]
The Kingdom of Miscellania can be very profitable but you must know what to do with it and have some wealth to begin with.

• Fairy ring teleports unlocked

What to do
Use this map for the following section.


First arrive on the island through either the use of a fairy ring teleport or the boat from Rellekka.

• Follow the blue line form the purple circle for fairy rings
  
• Follow the green line if coming from the docks.

Then follow the red line to the red circle and go to Advisor Ghrim.

Once there goto the management menu and place 1.5-2mil gp in the coffers, also select the amount of labor wanted for each grouping.



Once that is done ensure that your kingdom approval rating is at 100% by cutting the teak trees near the bank at the green circle.

And finally you can bank at the blue circle.

How this helps you
This is mainly something that people with extra money laying around can use to cheaply train skills. While you can always choose to use all the items gathered it is much more profitable to sell everything and average around a 4-5mil profit every month.

This is an example of someone who placed 10 workers in herbs, 4 on maples, and 1 on coal. He gained 419 unid herbs and 4 herb seeds.

I would recommend either placing 10 workers on herbs and 5 on maples or 10 on maples and 5 on herbs. There are many combinations all netting different amounts of profit but these are 2 of the best for gathering herbs while still making money.

- How much does Snape Grass sell for?
- It sells for 500gp each.


- How easy is it to sell the Snape Grass?
- It is not terribly difficult as many people are trying to buy this item in bulk.


- How much does Mort Myre Fungi sell for?
- It sells for 1k each.


- How easy is it to sell the fungi?
- Not many people buy it actually, but there are a number who do buy in bulk. To answer that question directly I am not completely sure though.


- How much do White Berries sell for?
- It sells for around 800-1k each.


- How easy is it to sell the berries?
- Not many people buy it actually, but there are a number who do buy in bulk.


- How do I recharge my tiny elf crystals?
- Speak to Eluned, who can charge it for 750gp - each time it's recharged, the price will go down.

For the mort myre fungi, you can get an extra 3 fungi per trip if you take something such as a glory ammy or dueling ring, bank and then withdraw house teles. There are also spots with 3 logs in 1 area

I dont have that area memorized but i believe its picked because of it closeness to the gate.

Pretty well put together. Don't forget that if you buy your vials in Shilo, you can use Karamja Gloves 1 and get a small discount on the vials. Shilo General also sells vials 3-5 gp each, I believe, while Ardougne's Vials cost 12gp each.

Also, you can collect more fungi with House TeleTabs.

If you go down to near the nature alter for mort myre fungi, there is an alter 5 seconds away, assuming you've done the quest

A good and semi-efficient way of making some quick cash. Though, in the long run I think this isn't good for actual income. It will suffice for only so long before the user either gets tired or cannot find more buyers. Hopping worlds, continuosly putting in that PIN number (if you even have one, which you should  ) can get rather annoying after 15 times .

You could but it takes about 70% run just to get there from the gate and then you would have to go all the way back up bank and repeat.

Ya i noticed that too when I was getting myself some vials at shilo, the best way to avoid that is if your planning on making a career out of this either get a mule for all your expensive stuff and get rid of the pin on your main or take the risk and dont have a pin. If you buy vials at ardy you can avoid the bank and just use the deposit thing there.

the choas druids in Ardy need a much lower theiving lvl than the 59 you've said, thats the lvl you need for the blood chest downstairs, if you just want the choas druids its more like lvl 25??? KB doesn't do doors and I can't find the right lvl but its around 25.

You can also collect blue drag scales, if your going to taverley only need the sheild and key(or shcut).

Dragon scales are pretty impossible to sell. And it's 47 thieving for Ardougne Chaos Druids, but Ardougne Thieving Tower is a HORRIBLE place to kill druids, do to at least one person always being there.

Most people dont buy blue scales anymore since there are much better pots from the latest herb update. Also I wasnt sure about what exact level was needed for the tower since im above the thieving level for blood chests. If anyone can confirm what level is needed for that it would be great.

You can also collect blue drag scales, if your going to taverley only need the sheild and key(or shcut).

Dragon scales are pretty impossible to sell. And it's 47 thieving for Ardougne Chaos Druids, but Ardougne Thieving Tower is a HORRIBLE place to kill druids, do to at least one person always being there.

Ill see if I can find a friend with a member pure that dosnt have Dt thieving level yet to test that out.

Very nice and perfectly illustrated guide

please, let me suggest mentioning
- banshees and aberrant specters as the great herbs source, not only chaos driuds
- Salarin the twisted is ok too, but there is 67 agility requirement and 82 thieving is highly recommended to utilize this NPC the best way

also there is the sense to mention the skill of farming
- it provides me with enough limps for super str and whiteberries or poison ivy (the only way to get it except buying)
- belladonna can be grown by farming and it is possible to re-obtain skavid map after watchtower quest to collect belladonna at skavid caves while alching (to make super weapon poison)

Miscellania management deserves to be mentioned as well
i had placed 10 workers on herbs, retrieving commodities once per week (not raising approval each every day, only while retrieving goods), keeping 2M in coffers (1,5M is ok too).
Here is the sample what i get weekly (actual numbers may vay each week, but overall herblore xp is about steady 45K)

(if your curious - the rest commodities: coal, uncuts, nests, logs and seeds - 1 worker at coal, 4 at maples)

Kwuarm is faster to get from abberatnts rather from fewer spiders

The best source of vials for me is Mortton general shop (it is never crowded, has 100 vials at stock) with banking at Burg de Rott, it requires some running, but it is still faster than swapping worlds to discover the empty shop at Ardy or Shilo
(requires Shades of Mortton and first 2 Myreque quests)

Also i do agree, best sellers are prayer pots and super strs. Supersets also goes pretty fast at world 2
the rest: mage pots, antifires, sara brews, antipoisons etc are harder to sell. Super-restores are great
but obtaining snapdragon is a pain (i grow it with farming at Troll Stronghold ffarming patch when aberrants
drop me appropriate seeds). You forgot super strong weapon poison, selling it 10K ea is not a problem
(dragon daggers can be bought at Zanaris (world hopping) for 30k, after poisoning dds sells for 55K
and there is a reasonably good demand for DDS as people often lose it in wildy)

Truth be told about farming when I was planning this guide there was going to be a farming section but I was feeling lazy and didn't put it in final, although i might write up something for it in the next month or so . About banshees I never though they were really a good source of herbs from the times when i get them as slayer tasks, Abby Specters I have never killed but have been told they have good herb drops, the only problem is the sorta high slayer level needed to kill them. If I were to include kingdom management it would most likely be in the farming section. While this is more of a guide on how to make money not really herblore exp the herbs from here are a great source of potions. One of my friends has his set at 10 maple 5 herb which is a good mix of money and herbs, the maples and tree seeds can be burned/planted or sold the nests can be used/sold for sara brews and then you get a healthy amount of herb to make pots with. I recall there being vials at mortton and 100 per server with a little walk is by far much better than server hopping 10sec after you log in. For belladonna I beleive that the "Cave" version cant be used in herblore but i might be wrong the only thing is even if you did almost no one buys it except for maybe the odd 1 or 2. For herb/pot merchanting I would need a second guide just for that but I have very limited knowledge in that subject.
