It's their game. It's their company and money. They will do whatever it takes to maximize profits. Though it may destroy "our" game, it may make "other people's" game better (even though both are still RuneScape with the same Java and the same worlds).

The point is that they will change it to adapt to get the most paying customers, even though you may not like subtle changes they make.

One mistake doesn't damage their business. However, one mistake per month (one severe mistake per month) will. They need to listen to their players - they're the people playing...

They will, but not for everybody. There will always be 1% of the current population left, because for every update, theres 1% who will accept it, and 99% who will blame JAGeX. It's JAGeX' game, they can do what they want. I'm sure if you hated them and actually wanted to blow up their office, you wouldn't be playing their game.

i personally see runescape as a fine game, jagex does listen to the advice of it's players, however, jagex is doing one thing that no other mmorpg has ever done before. They assume control over there game. Runescape is unique in this aspect, when wow came out, everybody started making there mmorpg's like that, and i find it just sad. Runescape is unique, let's keep the game like that, alright?

Hmm. I said no, because technically, it's their game, they started it. They will always argue that their game (to them) rocks, but then probably most of the players will say it stinks. You, as a customer, can and will always have an opinion about Jagex's game, but you also want to remember the facts and see it at a different angle. Also, "ruining the game" can be different for everybody. I, myself, say Jagex isn't doing the best, scratch that, the game isn't the best like it used to be, but Jagex can turn around.

I have to agree with the majority, Jagex isn't going to ruin the game, they are doing a great job introducing more in various areas. It is some of the players that bring the game down, trying to cheat either the game(autoers & macroers) or other players(scammers), or just treating each other poorly by insulting complete strangers for no appearent reason.
What happened to the golden rule and self respect?

They have already ruined it, at least for a big part. But also alot of players do ruin the game, so not everything has to be blamed on Jagex.

I'm just playing now, because I have to reach 1 thing in RS that I've always wanted to have: 126 combat

Some people will get pissed off with the updates that they do or the lack thereof. That's just logical for things to make makind mad. But they made this game, and IMHO, they're doing a great job of keeping up with everything.

Have you seen the Graphics on this game? THey're putrid. But the PK system and stake option and things like that add soo much fun to people. They've made somethign no one else has.

The only way they could ruin it for me is to get rid of it

I can't see how the company that has created and kept RuneScape running for so long will wind up destroying it. If members didn't trust Jagex with the existence of the game, then they would notpay for their benefits. Jagex will never destroy our game. However, the players' anger towards the company might

I don't think jagex will ruin runescape, but when runescape does come to an end it will because it will become obsolete. Better games with better technology will slowly take customers away from runescape. Jagex will eventually see that they aren't making any money from runescape and will shut it down.

How Runescape Customer Support, autoers and hackers are right now, those will ruin the game. Jagex needs to spend MORE time to fix it. Every 1 is getting banned for no reason, players cant make money because of autoers and players cant keep their items because of hackers. This will drive Runescape straight into the ground.

Do you know how many people have quit RS already because Jagex is screwing up? Tens of Thousands.

Edit: People are also quitting because of the SO FREAKING EASILY COMBATED bot problem. The bots are messing everything up, even the shops now. They're making the player economy crash, and the shop prices go skyrocketing.
