They're not going to get ruined, the make profits that are outstanding, especially during this economic crisis, doubt it. Taking away RWT was ok, but taking away PK'ing hurt them, a lot.

~Jaja

trust me im sure there hurting a bit but still you relize there in a different country to an extent the crisis affects the whole world but not as much as the US is hurting and on topic I already think jagex some what ruined the game, for me at least I will explain myself I guess so i dont get flamed

1. Pking didn't do much of it but alot of my friends quit becasue of it
2. graphic change : just doesn't seem the same game to me
3. Maxed out lvl : im not any zezima with 99 everything but its sort of boring that I cant do things only high lvls can do as a "reward" for hanging around for this long with rewards in such
4. economy of the game : all game economys fail and in my opption it was alot better with the gold farmers but in real life they where hurting profit wise (why it had to be done) but now its like ....hey want to wc for 24 straight? no? Oh you want to raid a dugeon and look for that bandos godsword? WELL YOUR WERID ID RATHER WOODCUT!!! =p

-- forgive my stubidness.....just expressing my oppion

i would say no, jagex try to improve RS
its about the players, why was willerness taken and there is a trade limit now ? just because of players - macroers and real item traders, serisously, a year ago it was impossible to do a step at f2p worlds and not see a lvl 3 macroer cutting yews

I voted for yes, but if there was a Maybe option I would have chosen that. In the past year jagex has really frocked up Rs, however the new CEO seems pretty good, only time will tell.

Not a chance now that we have a CEO with his head screwed on the right way. Jagex will take this game to new levels in the near future, I'm certain of it.

In my eyes:

If you think the game is ruined/will be ruined, stop playing. The game clearly isn't what you want, so stop whining at Jagex to fix it, and leave.

Now that the ranting is done: I never do PvP, so I don't care about these updates. Really, if you're saying that Runescape is ruined from the lack of wilderness PvP... LOOK AROUND YOU: BH still offers Kill'N'Loot. PvP worlds let you PK in an even bigger space. The Fight Pits let you just kill people. Also, look at your skills page. How many of those skills contribute to PvP? 8. How many skills are there. 24. There's still 2/3rds left of the game to explore, guys.

Nop, since I'm not associated with PvP, PK, BH or w/e, I like almost all updates.

It's ruined. Economy is still in shatters even after 16 months or so of the GE, they have still failed to fix it. There is no decent pking system, I could go on and on...

Depends on your definition of "ruin."

As per usual, I think that anything can be IMPROVED, but given the circumstances, things are going quite well. I don't know what people think is wrong with the economy (please remember that we are no longer in a Free Market). They're criticising a non-Free Market because it isn't a Free Market...

Find the logic in that, and it makes about as much sense as criticising a dwarf for being short.

It's fine, and they won't ruin it.

'Nuff said.
Okay, so you pronounce my name like this: "Rist'ay thur'teen.' It's not "Rist," "Riste," or "Rist'uh," and if you spell it "Wristle," you will meet a very, very painful death.

I simply say, that Jagex are starting to demonstrate the structures of a communist government. This is my opinion, so you can agree or disagree. Jagex are ignoring the general public, and are deciding that catering the game in favor to the ones with higher levels, encouraging people to train those skills and raking in more subscription profits. This is one of the many reasons why I quit RuneScape.

If I'm not mistaken, aren't basically all updates in wow for high level players?...

And it's only lately they have been doing high level updates, they can't keep this up and won't.

They ruined the old Runescape once they took away our rights to trade in an unbalanced manner, when they took away wilderness, duel arena, and introduced over-powered weapons.

The newer Runescape is still appealing to a lot of people, though. This is because it's diversified and doesn't focus on one aspect. I can't see Jagex ruining every aspect of the game (skilling, PvM, and PvP) because that's pretty hard to do. However, there is a fair chance of Jagex ruining PvP again - as in decreasing the activity there, not making it completely deserted like FFA or any other unused area.

Ruining it is a matter of opinion. If they had, people wouldn't be playing it; so in my opinion, it hasn't be ruined.

I honestly think they have the ability to ruin certain "Aspects" of the game but definitively not ruin the whole game. I do hope that they don't further damage PvP(Not that much can be done with it's state :-()

No, you're mistaken. Every single patch has a way to benefit the lower levels as well as the higher levels. For example, in Patch 3.2.0, they made it easier for lower level players to obtain mounts, by lowering the level requirements and decreasing the costs, and the countless other patches that affect players of all levels. For example, in Patch 3.3.0, there was a negative update of not allowing players below level 10 to join raids, and a balanced update where Lay on Hands (Paladin) triggers Forbearrance if cast on self. The first update affected players of levels 1-10, while the second one affected players level 10 and up.

And it's also the factor that it takes so long to level each skill up to 99, you need to train so many proficiencies to stand a chance in PvP while in World of Warcraft, your level, skill, and gear is all that matters, and it takes much, much less time to train skills in World of Warcraft.
