With the current state of Runescape, we have a group (Jagex) that doesn't listen to what people say and ignores any suggestions from the public. Some people could argue that they just don't have any time for suggestions and that the game runs well, but many others get angry and even start riots. With this mindset from the players of Runescape, do you think it will lead to many people quitting if Jagex makes more mistakes?

No, I don't think so, those who say they quit/is going to quit usually just says it to make Jagex listen, and don't quit. They do not ignore the players always, they do listen to them. Just not as much as they could do.

It can lead to that, but there's not much mature people that can handle issues or get what they want, but a serious riot could change jagex if there was actual people and support jagex must listen

They're updates are just there to make them more money to attract more players, they're destroying their own creation, first it was slowly and now it has reached quite a pace which everyone is realizing it (well almost everyone)

Of course, Runescape will come to an end someday. When that happens, many will rest blame on Jagex.

Jagex cannot please everyone. They build the game how they feel it should be built. Player suggestions merely spark ideas for Jagex. After all, look how far the ideas of Jagex have gotten. Jagex never makes mistakes. It's how the player views Jagex's updates that makes the claim of it being a mistake.

Will Jagex ruin Runescape or will the players leave Runescape? They are the same exact thing. The players choice of leaving Runescape depends on how they see the game. And yes, it all opinion, which is exactly what this question is.

As for me, my vote goes to No.

No I don't think they will. There have only been a handful of updates over the years that I have played that have really upset me. Like sometimes I think, that is really unnecessary, or this update will make way more work for everyone, those little updates will grind my gears but not totally ruin the fun for me. Runescape is such a vast game it would take a lot to ruin the whole game.

In my opinion its already been ruined.

It all depends on what you consider "ruined" to be, and what it infers.


edit: I guess to answer the poll is that Runescape will never be ruined for everyone, since that's how the poll is worded.
New players will think Runescape is all nice and fun because they haven't experienced the older Runescape, in the same way some older rs1 players consider RS2 to have ruined Runescape.

I agree with Jake. I personally think that runescape has been runined in the fast that they have expanded too fast. They are creating new quests while there are still bugs and issues in the game that need to be fixed before they can make more things to break.



But again like Jake said it all depends on what "ruined" means to you personally.

Jagex created Runescape and have never really listened to members much. They have finally over the last few months started to take notice of the suggestions and complaints from players of the game and have been fixing them. They will never satisfy all of the players of Runescape however I am sure that they will never ruin Runescape.

With all guides nowadays it's just not fun, unless you are a "noob" who don't read fansites or official site.

I'll be honest here, Jagex doesn't ruin the game, the players playing the game ruin it. Jagex are actually helping us out, and are keeping us entertained every month by releasing new updates for us to play and experience.

Do you see what the wild has become? It's all about "Rofl you no life nerd, lmfao prayer, omg teleport@" It's not like Jagex steped in and went "From now on all of you are to act like a totall idiots towards each other! If you don't follow this new rule, we will ban you!" I believe the players ruined the game, not Jagex.

From what I've seen, Jagex seem to only worry on people who break minor rules. The people who break them, always continue to do it, and it the end, all those little reports add up, resulting in a permanent ban. What I think Jagex should do is, worry about the more concering issues, such as autoer's, people who advertise sites, etc...

I know they can't get every single autoe's banned, but I think they should find something thay can eliminate a major population of them.

yes i think jagex is going to turn this into a game were people that play it are only like 9 year olds and all the teenagers (most ammount of rs players now days that play rs are 13+) are going to leave because of this. they are going to destroy runescape.

Games like WoW seem to have better graphics and general layouts. There's no doubt in my mind they'll take over RuneScape.
