Take a look at Jagex Lite for example, it's quite obvious some Threads there are just meant to grab some of the Higher Authority Attention. So yes, the Forums are getting more "Mature Posts" - but for the wrong reasons.

Two main problems with RuneScape I see:

- Economy sucks, value of 1GP is now .5GP

- Too many players being wrongly Modded. The list is way too big as it is already.

I just am coming back to the community after a bit of a break. I must say the updates are impressive. I really liked the look of the forum.

I don't bother with the forum too much .. I don't feel that there is any sense on 'community' here, just Mods, angsted up teenagers and old addicts talking about the same things over and over again.

I'm not liking the new help site either but that belongs on another thread.

You probably do not feel that there is a sense of community here because you don't bother with the forum too much Yes, RSC can be quite big and intimidating when you are looking at it from the outside but you will see that there is a sense of community here once you become more active in each board across the forum. Not everyone on RSC may know each other well but people generally know other posters who post in the forums they post in. In other words, the specific boards (general discussion, stories and poem discussion, off topic, etc) are small communities themselves and there is a definite sense of community amongst the people that are most active there. That being said, I do not completely understand the second part of your post. Mods are and have to be there, especially for a big community like this. I also don't get what you mean by "angsted up teenagers and old addicts". What is an "angsted up teenager"?

Its just my opinion Avicenna, I am assuming that the people that run this site want people's opinions on what they think of it, so they can improve it.

An angst up teenager is an anxious pimply teenage boy, low self esteem, no girl friend, etc.

As for the rest of you post, well what can I say .. if there was any consistency in the moderation of this site your post would be deleted because it's off-topic, this thread is about my views of zybez 'community' not what your views are of my views. :P

So basically you're badmouthing the site by generalizing its users as what you seem to consider pathetic low-lifes, calling it constructive criticism, and saying that people can only discuss your opinions and defend the site because our moderators are bad?

Heh, you seem like one of the people most think of when they think of online gaming. By that I mean the type of person who always thinks his/her opinion is all that matters (because it's the internet) and that everyone else is automatically some "pimply" teenager with no life/gf/bg/etc. Hate to break it to you but the fact that you are replying here, puts you in the VERY same group as the rest of the community, you play the game too therefore you can't set yourself ahead of anyone else here.

As for the consistency bit, this topic is discuss Runescape Community and share your opinions on it - he's simply discussing/debating with you there is no lack of consistency.

Your not that bright are you? I mean I think you put more "examples of a Rscer" then actual opinion in your post then anything else. Im also pretty sure the moderation on this site is quite decent but not iron fisted strict in which it would delete every post because of a small error. It's a relaxing discussion place not a military camp.

I don't usually come to runescape community for more than pking videos and anything to do with pking, but I usually find something else to view every once in a while still pleased with what I find.

Agree with your point your going on about how all of Runescape Community forums are teenage angst without real knowledge of these forums. Before you try to insult me in a "mature" way at least view the whole of these forums. I recently came back, after a leave of absence from the game, and I remembered RSC, now I couldn't remember my old user, or password, but all the same, the new site (zybez.net & the forums) became a lot more aesthetically please, and user friendly! I appreciate all the hard work I notice by the staff around here. I'm glad to be back!

I appreciate the community, from what I notice everyone is very friendly and don't discriminate against the newer members (which is always lovely).

One thing that is nice is I have noticed that the moderators actually participate a lot in the forums, it shows they deserve their job and makes me feel better knowing at any moment a moderator has my back.

Getting a little tired of the adds at the top of the screen that take about 5 seconds to load, and when they do load the move the screen, making me missclick, have to go back and try to click what I wanted before again before the add loads... Thats about it. Oh and the CL's that lock posts and move them in order to feel significant about themselves. Not very neccessary is all I can say.

If you feel a CL is doing that (although I know that most people don't) simply contact one of the boards' moderators, or a Senior Moderator/King. They should be able to help you
