Achievements Board Rules

No picture, no proof.
Only post if you have a picture to prove you have accomplished your task and you are the owner of the account. Please note a stat signature does not count as a picture.

One to Three Monster Drops
Due to drop topics cluttering the forum, a pinned topic has been created for 1-3 monster drop images to be housed. If you wish to make an individual drop log, you must have over four images of individual drops to put within it. Note that the four images must be of different drops, and they must be your own. Loot-shared drops that others in your clan chat get will not count towards the four drop total. The drop-log drop off sticky can be found here.

Crop all images.
Please note all images MUST be cropped, or your topic will be closed until you can complete this task. Cropped is defined as your image only displaying the RuneScape Screen, nothing else of any screenshot taken. The recent graphical update does not mean you can post full-screen sized images without re-sizing them to fit within the normal width of a forum page (a normal screenshot is around about 768x502). Full-screen sized images should be re-sized, easily done using the "Stretch and Skew" option within the "Image" Tab, in Microsoft Paint. A guide to cropping and re-sizing can be found here.

Advertising IRC channels.
IRC Channels are now allowed to be advertised in Achievements, as long as they are somehow RuneScape Related, be that a clan channel, team channel, personal achievement channel or similar. However, Zybez does not accept any responsibility for any mis-happening in any channel you decide to visit. All channels outside of Zybez control are separate entities, and should be approached with caution if they seem suspicious. If you do witness ingame rulebreaking, excessive abuse or anything out of the ordinary in any channel advertised on this forum, please PM an Achievement Moderator with evidence. If any channel you are seen to advertise is found to be involved in anything out of the ordinary, we will ban you from advertising it here.

Only post for yourself.
If your friend or friends have achieved something special they can make an account and post it themselves. Your achievement topic belongs to only for your achievements.

Only post one topic.
Having multiple topics create spam and is against the rules. You can always edit a post to add information for another account or a different goal.

Real life pictures.
Real Life Pictures are now allowed in your Achievement Topic, for decorative purposes only. You can have up to two pictures of yourself in your Topic. No comments towards any said photo should be posted - neither will any flaming, spamming, flirting or similar be acceptable behaviour. To post a picture of yourself, you must take the photo with evidence of you owning your RSC account - that is, you must hold up a sign with your RSC account's name on it to prove you are who you claim to be. Any photos without evidence will be deleted.

No offtopic chat.
Do not use the achievements forum to speak about your life, school or anything non-RuneScape related. If you have something off topic to say to the person, PM the person.

Keep your topic titles relevant
Please ensure your topic title is relevant to the content. Random titles, such as "OMG I LUV CATS" for an achievement of 55 Slayer, or blatant lies such as "98 slayer on a level 3!" when it isn't anything of the sort are disallowed. However, relevant jokes in your topic title, such as "Bug Abuse!" for killing of cockroaches is absolutely fine. Whether a title is acceptable or not is down to moderator discretion.

No spamming.
Each reply you make should be constructive; replies such as "thank you", "updated", "good luck dude" and "first post!!" will no longer be tolerated. Whether or not your post is spam is at the discretion of the CL/Moderator. Note that posting repeatedly to only increase your post count will end up with a suspension.

No flaming/false accusing.
Do not insult or abuse any member in this forum for any reason. Neither should you accuse any member of wrong doing. Flaming or false accusation could give you a suspension.

Use the bump button.
If you need to bump your topic, use the bump button, using replies to bump it and sometimes even double posting, again, will no longer be tolerated. You can find the bump button in Topic Options at the top of the topic.

Do not advertise your topic whilst posting.
Putting "Amazing Topic, visit mine at:" or anything similar will not be tolerated in the Achievements Forum. Such posts are spam, used to draw attention to another topic than the one being posted on. If people wish to post on your topic, they will do.

Place your topic in the right forum.
If you're making a topic that follows a list or series of different goals or achievements, put it in the Achievements Forum. If you are posting one achievement or one goal that you have, post it in the Single Achievements forum. If you decide that you want to change your single achievements thread to multiple achievements, PM a CL to move your thread to the correct forum.

Do not wannabe moderate.
If someone forgets to post a picture in their topic, or spams the board, or flames - don't tell them off yourself, report them. If you post, your posts become spam also when a moderator deals with the offender, and thus makes you into a rule breaker also. We will not tolerate wannabe moderation anywhere on the forums. This also includes posts such as "pics plz" or "in b4 lock."

Do not post good buys or sells.
Buying/selling an item or merchanting items are not considered achievements. This is because achievements take dedication and work, the way you earned the money to buy the party hat, combined with your trade of the party hat would thus be acceptable. The purchase alone is not. Anyone can put money on the Grand Exchange. Please post such things in Screenshots and Movies instead.

Posts or topics that violate these rules are subject to deletion or closing without notice. Please also note that these rules are subject to change at any time without due notice.

Punishments

Punishments can range anywhere from a verbal warning to a rating deduction to permanent banning depending on the degree of your offense. Punishments are at the individual moderator's discretion.

====================================

Resizing your Image

  • Firstly, open your desired Screenshot in Microsoft Paint.

  • At the top of the page, click "Image". Then click "Stretch/Skew".

Once you have clicked this, a box will appear. To shrink your image, you need to put a lower percentage into the two boxes than 100%. Unfortunately, since so many difference sizes of screen exist, what percentage you will need to use differs from computer to computer. The below example of 50% will not definitely make it the right size, you will need to find out what percentage you do need by playing around with it yourself. If you wish to be on the safe side though, you could just make your image 50-60% of the size, and it should be small enough.

    The box looks, like this:

    Posted Image

  • Once you click "Ok", it should then make the image smaller. An appropriate size of screenshot is 768x502px. You can check how big your screenshot is by right clicking it and pressing Properties, once you have uploaded your image to an image hosting website.

  • You will need to File >> Save >> Add a Name and change the File Type to .PNG

  • You can then upload it and post it for everyone to see!

====================================

Uploading and Posting Images
There are several hosts you can use to upload your image:

  • Once you've chosen your desired host, go to the upload page. Click Browse, find the image you want to upload on your hard dive, click Open, and then Upload.
  • The next page should contain links to your image. You can either copy the forum link (which usually links back to the site) or copy the direct link and wrap it in [img] tags.
  • At the end of the day, your embedded image BBCode will look something like this:
