So, I logged into EoC to do my spins & Ports for the day after playing some 07scape, and to my surprise I was prompted with a 'click here to earn a free spin button'.
Naturally, I click it because I'm infinitely greedy and it basically laid out to earn a free spin I must sit through a 20 second advertisement. My advertisement just happened to be..tampons.





I really don't think this is appropriate for Jagex to be doing, making paying members who get 'no adverts in-game' be led to an advert, which since it logs you out I believe isn't technically in the game but are they really loop-holing their own words?
I really believe, even from a business standpoint, this is way too far.

Very poor decision on behalf of JaGeX.

Even if they try to justify it as a special offer it's just as intrusive as an advertisement. Yet another membership promise broken. Not only is it not $5 anymore as it was originally promised but you now pay more only to get ads.

Understatement of the millennium. Didn't Mod MMG say that they wouldn't be shoving the SoF down our throats?

EDIT 02/3/13 - So Casper, how does that explain the advertisement for Kotex?
