EDIT: Am I the only one who's thinking that Sinkholes is some vague hint at putting some kind of gold sink in the game?

I bet someone will solo that eventually.

Sinkholes are probably the creatures from the upcoming ranged-oriented dungeon... But who knows, perhaps it's a hint at an in-game gambling feature coming up

Lol at that Jmod who thought he could take down a boss-level monster using runite bolts as ammo.  Would have thought Jagex themselves would have known that all the medium level range ammo sucks now in the post-EOC combat system.

I feel like the sinkhole is the in-game gambling system. If you look at the concept art, it seems like the character has a bunch of coins floating around them, plus they kind of look like generic casino workers. I hope this puts an end to all the gambling methods currently in-game.

I hope they have some games of skill and it's not all based around games of pure luck like recycled SOF.  I'm sure they will put their own "spin" on things but it would be a lot of fun to play games like poker, blackjack, baccarat.

I do see cards, no dice unless that's what's in that little bag.

Same here, If it is an in-house gambling system, I really hope they have skill games you can bet on such as checkers or chess or something

Also if you watch the bts vid with french subtitles it says that sinkholes are a new D&D. So I am not sure what to expect...

You can already do things like that in the games room, but no one bothers playing that so why make new content thats just like old content that play dont play?

It worries me to see these are the people that are ment to be developing our game..

You know...it's sometimes scary to see what they come up with in some of their updates.
This is going to stay in the game permanently? Though I'm not sure how long this update will keep from getting old. Once most players get demonic spoils, there no incentive to hunt for more.

That logic could be applied to all PvM content but there always people still going to bandos and what not to make $$, they did say it will have a high valued drop table however the meaning of "high" is variable.

I was throwing out ideas and examples. I don't really care if they use the above as games to place wagers on or not, I only suggested an idea in hopes that they could possibly include a few pvp games that do not solely rely on luck.
