Well, that's definitely a nice incentive to recruit your friends to the game. But, is this limited in any way? Or is it unlimited? I can see some perks such as the XP gains and membership becoming quite open to abuse.

I do not see how it can be open to any further abuse than the previous refer-a-friend system.

Question: The previous 'recruit a friend' promotion led to people making multi accounts. If they do this now and 'train on the same world' isn't that an ironic way of getting them to break rules and in turn lead to a ban? = less accounts

Or am I just being a cynical grumpy old git?

Not that I am endorsing it, but it is pretty difficult to get banned for solely multi-accounting, unless you go mouthing off about it and get yourself reported. Breaking the rule itself did not use to lead to a straight ban, JaGEx know better than to do that $$$

I still wonder why Jagex won't let you just gift membership to someone.
I know people who are willing to join but don't really want to spend money on it, and don't like F2p.

It only works with new accounts too so I couldn't bring my friend back to membership with that incentive boost as I'd hoped to. Doesn't work that way sadly.

I've been playing RuneScape lately on my new computer on the highest graphics settings in my fraternity. I've had some people ask what game I'm playing, I say RuneScape, and their jaw hits the floor. Even had a few say they might wanna play/come back, so I might be able to cash in on this recruiting bonus. Does anyone know if it works for people that used to have mems but quit for a long time? Or do you have to recruit brand new players to the game?

i am pretty sure this only applies to new accounts

After 2 days, this is my bonus xp in RC (recruited 3 friends)

After 2 days, this is my bonus xp in RC (recruited 3 friends)

does it track howmuch bonus xp you have gained? or is that a number that goes down as you gain xp?

There desperation for new members is hilarious. They lost so much of there memberbase last couple of years due all the silly/childish update and this is how they are trying to regain them.. so bad lol;//

Edit: So if you make 5 bot accounts and recruit them as your friends you indirectly bot your main?

hmm, so what xp does it start with? 1m? and is it that amount per skill, or one amount for all skills?

Sounds like a nice bonus for getting members.
If i'm gonna be more active i might consider poking my husband to get an acc again.
