Zchat Secret Santa
Welcome to this year's Zchat Secret Santa! For those of you who don't know, last year we held our first secret santa. Players may sign up to give a gift to another random Zchatter and receive a gift from a different Zchatter. You get to secretly give someone a gift that can be unique, useful, or downright silly. Last year's event was loads of fun, and this year should be even better!
This year there will be a few changes to make everything run more smoothly.
- I won't store the list on a hard drive from 2001. The list will survive this time
. - There will be two brackets: Under 100k and 100k+. Some players expressed interest last time in having a lower group so that they could be creative without being expected to spend a large amount.
- There will be a small drop party held using a part of the donations.
Here's how it works:
Before November 30th
Sign up for Zchat Secret Santa using the form >>>here<<<.
On December 1st
Receive via PM your assigned giftee. Start picking a gift out for them
Between December 3rd and December 19th
Give your gift to myself or ZybezMatchu for safe-keeping and enjoy the beginning of winter. If you wish to donate towards the party favors and drop party, do that at the same time.
Between December 20th and 27th
Enjoy your holiday! Merry Christmas!
Between December 28th and January 11th
Pick up your gift! Anything not collected may be used for a drop party at a later date.

Q&A
Q) Why do I need to give you my gift?
A) I hold the gifts such that I such that I can ensure everyone who gave one received one. Those who do not hand me one by the 19th are removed and their gifter gets reassigned.
Q) Can I join after December?
A) In an ideal world everyone would sign up on time. This isn't an ideal world, but letting people join after the signup creates a lot more work for me. I won't know the details of where you fill fit in to the overall plan (either a separate exchange loop or replacing bad gifters), but I will charge a tax. 10k per registered player will be collected at the same time as your gift and it will be given to them when they receive their gift.
Q) I don't trust you to hold onto my present.
A) That's not a question. I am a lieutenant in Zchat and have been ranked for a non-insignificant time. Last year's Zchat Secret Santa went without scam (the hard drive failure was certainly a hitch). If you do not want to play, no one is forcing you to.
Q) What is this about a donation on the signup sheet?
A) For this year's event, I am accepting donations to be handed out with gifts and as part of the drop party.
