EDIT: i'd suggest constitution crystals for final boss, but then again the time saved using magic crystal would make you use less brews

I used the constitution crystals on the hard jad waves(wave 35, I believe?) and then on the double jad wave aswell. I think the magic crystal is the best way to go on the final boss as it only takes 3 times for the head to come out of the lava(did for me using storm of armadyl) to beat the boss.

Good luck. It's quite easy once you get down the strategy. Go for it; I believe in you :)

I'll be taking Polypore + Blood Barrages, but i was also taking range, whats your opinion on this or should i just take mage and more brews with a saradomin bow?
B0aty, you're a beast. You could do it with an air staff >.<. I'm subbed to you on Youtube; you better shout me out on YT when you get the cape xD. I'd suggest just taking poly and since you're sort of a pure, bring flasks. Also I think blood barrages are acceptable. I've seen a few videos of people using them. Worked quite well.

War Tortoise will suffice if you have a decent magic level and understand the basic strategy of the Kiln.

Obviously you can see from my thread that it's far from necessary. Ganodermic and EEK works fine :).

I've seen it done quite a few times with a steel titan but I haven't seen many complete without it unless you understand all spawns perfectly.

In the first try I wanted to try and get to 30+ for 70k exp lamp so i didn't take potion flasks with me. Also i didn't have any dreadnips/nex armour/spirit shileds.
Just ganodermic with polypore staff :D (not even storm of armadyl)
And thanks to your guide i actually made it to wave 35 (way over 30 :D) You hadn't written anything about 35/36 wave so i had no idea, from which side Jad will come :D
Let this picture be an evidence, that this guide is awesome and that you can actually 100% mage fight kiln without potion flasks too.

Episkey has a great guide elsewhere on the Tips forum and in Content Camp guides outlining spawn points of all Jads. Check it out :).

Dreadnips aren't necessary. If you don't have them, bring a rune or dragon pickaxe and kill the Dills one by one. Other than for the Dills, they're not necessary.

I've heard a Spectral works quite well in this case. You want something with a decent Magic Defense or Soak.

Full Ganodermic armour, eagle eye kiteshield, armadyl battlestaff or polypore staff, ragefire boots (or infinity), arcane stream necklace, penance aura (not at all necessary)

Grats Jay <3. It's easier than I expected it to be. Surprised I beat it my first try also.

My first cape I did I used the constitution crystal and almost ended up dying because the boss takes substantially longer to kill.

One question: How long do you reckon it will take to finish the fight kiln from start to end?

I've been asking a few of my maxed friends(and personal experience from my own cape) that it takes about 2 hours from start to finish. Give or take obviously because it's dependent on how well you hit and what styles you're using as well.

1 fully charged staff should be fine. I'd bring 2 just because I've never attempted it as of yet with polypore. Virtus is not better than gano because it doesn't have mage soaks like gano does. Also although divine soaks most of the damage, i'd suggest an eek because of it's massive magic soak. If you do plan on bringing divine, take a few of the brews out (maybe 3-4) and replace with restores or super prayer potions.

2 hours. My second attempt took me ~1 hour 45.

I defo read your guide before i attempted, i'd recommend a bow of some sort though as it takes AGES to kill the magers with magic :P But i can confirm the whole thing is possible with magic, i used around 400 polypores 1-10 but 3k is easily enough so don't doubt them (maybe used around 500 barrages in total)
