Gratz on joining the blogging team omicha. I agree to some extent with what you're saying- to me it seems like it's mainly just our generation of rsers that are leaving, most of us are in our late teens now, and other things have become more important. Add the crappy updates to that and people are gonna quit. But still, it can't only be our generation that's leaving- IRC is dead almost all day except at peak times which definitely says something, and I'm sure that a lot of people quit due to not being able to bot for their gp... I guess all we can do is see what happens and hope that we can still get a few more good years out of the game.
