I don't know if this is common knowledge. I noticed that a dramen staff has the same strength bonus as a red topaz machete but different attack bonuses. Also you might need help for the dramen staff but the dramen staff is more epic for 1 attack pures/skillers. Here's the stats for both weapons.

Dramen Staff:

-1 stab attack
-1 slash attack
+10 crush attack
+10 magic attack
0 ranged attack

+2 stab defense
+3 slash defense
+1 crush defense
+10 magic defense
0 ranged defense
0 summoning defense

+10 strength


Red Topaz Machete

0 stab attack
+16 slash attack
-2 crush attack
0 magic attack
0 ranged attack

0 stab defense
+1 slash defense
+1 crush defense
0 magic defense
+1 ranged defense
0 summoning defense

+10 strength

Dramen Staff is also free, of course.

+16 slash is much better than +10 crush on anything a 1 attack pure should be training on, and the defensive stats are largely useless (especially when you have 1 defense. and if you have high defense, the boosts are minimal compared to what the armor would give you).

It could be used on defense pures since Lost City doesn't give any exp to any skills at all.

The machete is still better because +16 slash > +10 Crush

if you don't see what i'm trying to say, it's that 16 is a bigger number than 10.

Rock crabs are weak to crush so this would be a good alternative when training there.

Crush can be better against plate armor.

if you're attacking something with 40 slash defense vs 30 crush defense and lvl 1 defense for example.
crush would be about 78% accuracy vs 76% accuracy on red topaz slash.

dwarven army axe is controlled style so it ruin's pures

Lets see, the axe is controlled.

The druidic Staff- WHY would you even bother mentioning that? You need 65 prayer to wear it, let alone the price of it is 221M, possibly higher street.

if you get 40 mage and play a couple of Sc games you can get the staff which is like 40 str bonus and better stats than machete /..

How about the Chaotic Staff? It doesn't require any attack or strength level to wield, and the stats are quite decent.

it requires 80 magic though, which is equivalent to 99 strength and 21 attack in terms of combat level
only benefit is you can get 80 magic and 80 dg w/o hp levels.

yeah, unless im misreading something, +50 strength on a sacred clay staff should more than offset -1 attack speed.

You get an invisible +64 strength bonus, so 50 + 64 = 114,
114/5 = 22.8 would be your average damage output per game tick

this as opposed to (10+64)/4 = 18.5 for the machete.

Looks like someone didn't do their research either, the axe is controlled exp, are you trying to screw up someone's pure? Or just terribly misinformed.
