So, I am on a search/adventure to find the perfect item to alch, that is preferably easy to attain, and this search seems to be a bit troublesome....
Currently, I'm doing a sorta multi-purpose method for this, by getting rune arrows from Range Guild to alch (YES, this DOES make profit. Not much, but it's profit) And even when I buy rune arrows off GE, I only lose 40-50 gp/alch(if you pay max price), but I want to find an easier item to alch, that i can just buy straight off GE and make a profit (note: things that sell QUICK. I don't want to wait overnight to buy something I'll make hardly any profit from)

I found a site that shows some good items to alch, but I had to wait like half an hour for maybe 50 them to buy at mid price, and I don't like waiting to alch in such small increments :P

So what I am asking you guys, is what do you alch for money? I'm just sticking to range guilding for rune arrows until i find something solid.
Opinions?

Honestly forget alching and do superheating. By superheating steel/mith on my pure I have made between 1-17 gp per superheat while pulling down 80k+ mage exp per hour. Not great cash, but it pays for itself and even if it is a "loss" day I have yet to lose over 15gp per superheat.

Even if there was an item that makes pofit noone would tell you about it because it would nerf the price.

You do, but you can easily get 29 smithing off of just doing The Knight's Sword quest. This quest gives 12,750 smithing exp and 30 is only 13,363 exp, which is the requirement for steel bars.

Seeing as you can only buy 100 per hour, this isn't exactly the best way to gain xp. Even if you could get 10000s per hour, superheat is still quicker xp per hour.
