Im using an unholy book right now for the +8 is there anything thats better than that?

I believe you're correct. Surprisingly, an Armadyl book only +6 to ranged attack.

for safe spotting that is best if you need a good defense bonus DFS, any type of blessed spirit shield, or eagle-eye kiteshield work.

You could use full void with the void shield and use a dhide body for more range bonus i think

But if your not using void unholy book is the way to go :)

Ya I looked at that, I think its because it has + 4 to all the def so its a more all-around item. And thanks guys, I do use void but im not going to be getting that shield anytime soon.
