1.0 - What are Aberrant Spectres?
» Welcome to my guide on Aberrant Spectres. What are Aberrant Spectres, you ask?

Well, Aberrant Spectres are ghost-like creatures, requiring 60 Slayer in order to kill. They are located in two places: Slayer Tower in Morytania and Pollnivneach Slayer Dungeon.

Posted Image

They have a special ability called Stench, which will hurt you 141 Life Points each hit and drastically lower your stats; therefore, it is advised you wear a Nose Peg (bought from any Slayer Master) to the Slayer Tower Aberrant Spectres.

__________________________________________________________________________

2.0 - Arriving at Aberrants
There are a few good ways to get to Aberrant Spectres.
First, I'll show you how to get to the ones in Morytania.

Morytania
  • Use Fairy Ring Code CKS to teleport to Canifis.
From there, walk north to the Slayer
Tower. Make your way to the Banshees and
climb the ladder to the southwest.
Now, walk past the Infernal Mages, and the
Bloodvelds until you get to a door.
Beyond that door is a room full of Aberrant Spectres.

  • Another way is to use your POH's Kharyll Teleport (only after Desert Treasure) and follow the path above.

There's one more place where these creatures can be found: Pollnivneach Slayer Dungeon.

Pollivneach Slayer Dungeon
Posted Image
Red Path: This path is what most people use. Just use
the Magic Carpet and go to Pollnivneach, then run to the
dungeon marked on the mini-map.

Blue Path: If your house is in Pollnivneach, use Teleport to House and run to Dungeon.

Once inside, you will see this room:

Just follow the Black Line to get to the Aberrant Spectres.
Recharging Summoning Points is made very convenient since
there is a mini-obelisk right in the room.

When you are done collecting the drops, make your way to the nearest bank. I will show you where to bank using the Slayer Tower and the Pollnivneach Slayer Dungeon.

Now, the Pollnivneach Slayer Dungeon:

Nice guide :D Abberrant Spectres are a really good herb dropper / money maker. Just one thing though - You said that 43 prayer is the minimum but you only need 37 for protect from magic. Isn't that high enough? Ive only killed them in the slayer tower so I don't know if you need protect from melee at the other place.

You might want to add in avg profit/hr for both options as well as possibly adding in the average time on one load. Also if you get the time, some pictures of loads you have done. Other than that, great guide :)

Thanks for your input. I will definitely add average profit per hr with Macaw. I forgot I had one with Terrorbird.
EDIT: Added image of a one hour trip.

Try color coding the drops in terms of rarity and putting them in order from common to rarest.  That would stand out at the reader and make the drop table seem much more organized and well done.

There is no way that a Gold Charm is rarer than a Torsol seed. I dont even pick up charms when camping here. Add some info on summoning BOB familiars for extra tanking supplies and herb storage. When I use the slayer dungeon, I travel to my house tele and bring a duel ring to bank at castle wars

Good guide so far. A good way to get to the Pollniveach Dungeon is to use the slayer ring to teleport to Summona then just run south.
Using a cannon at the Pollniveach Dungeon also means faster kills but of course you'll be making less profit because of the cannonballs. Instead of going all the way to Nardah to bank it's better to use an amulet of glory or ring of dueling to bank. That way it doesn't take too long to bank, and then you can use the slayer ring to teleport back to Pollniveach.
Beast of Burdens are also really useful at abberant spectes to store drops so you can stay there longer. You could add some information about using different beast of burdens etc.

Other than that, great guide. Should be very useful as their brilliant cash.

On your tanking setup Silly Jester Boots would be better then Snakeskin boots because they provide a +5 Magic Defence bonus

Looks good!

You should add a range method too, since that's pretty effective.

I wrote in () that as the color gets darker, the drops get rarer.

I will add in a Ranging Method for both Tanking and Praying, will fix some of the drops soon, hopefully within the next few days, and add comparison for BoBs.

Really good guide, but i have a few suggestions.

It is not recommended, it is required.

With your drop list, instead of darker colors, try making them different colors.

In your polvienich dungeon map, the black line points to two things. I assume one is the monsters, while the other is the obelisk. Might I suggest two different colors here?

Note that to use the magic carpet, you must have your right hand free.

You did not make 420k, because you used 10 1/2 prayer potions. I recommend that you clarify this.

All in all, good guide, just need some work

Actually, wasn't that "fixed" some day or another?  I might be wrong, but in the past few months of me playing RuneScape and flying around on magic carpets to various places in the desert, I never remember running into the left hand/right hand ordeal, and I'm pretty sure I've had items in those slots already.  Then again, I might be wrong and you might be right, but before you change it Guide OP go check it out for yourself just in case you were right in the first place.

Pack Yak/War Tortoise/Spirit Terrorbird/Macaw/Bull Ant (summon after reaching the area's respective bank)

if you are on a task the salve e isnt going to stack with black mask so basically black mask+on a task+fury>the 5% bonus from a salve e

with a sw cape and prossy bringing a shield for more bonus is kinda silly imo so i bring rune def

cannoning for a 200+ takes literally around 20 mins, i bring a duel ring just to easily tele to bank though ring of kinship is also an option since its free

to get to poll dung just use a ring of slay and tele to sumona

Good guide Posted Image

I have a tip which I think is pretty good. With the completion of the quest Love Story, you can use a chisel on a teleport to house to make a new teleport tablet. If you use it on one and turn it into a Pollniveach tablet, you get there much quicker. Also, if you bring Rings of Duelling, you can easily teleport to the Castle Wars bank. Using these 2 methods, you can bank and get there much faster. Hope I helped Posted Image
