It depends on why you want the 99, for the cape or for the money?
I'm guessing woodcutting yews is faster than fishing Sharks if you want money.
Also, if you just want 99 woodcutting for the cape, just cut Ivy.

Monkfish to 90, rocktail to 99 at world 84, would be about 55-60m profit, yews from your level would be around the 30-40m area.

Also factor in the price of living minerals if you're going to buy them, 415gp each at max atm.

Get Swan Song done! (unless your a pure/skiller or something) Monkfish are great xp/cash for Fishing. 100% better then Sharks. Fishing is faster then WC and gains ~50m. Fishing is the new hunter.

Although WC can be faster with Ivies I guess. But w/e.

Need a new signature? I'll make you one!

I would save all materials for use in other skills. 99 WC gives you logs for fire making and fletching with nests for farming. 99 Fish gives food for cooking.

This is mostly a self-sufficient strategy, not a money making one.

Fishing over woodcutting definitely. Especially for the cape, fishing is a lot less
seen than woodcutting. Also, fishing sharks can be profitable, but they've had
an update with more profitable alternatives to sharks since I've gotten 99.

If you're looking for fast xp and not quite as much profit, complete the Swan Song
quest and fish monkfish.

Oh.. another reason I'd choose fishing over woodcutting, as I'm guessing you
know by now since you have 80 woodcutting, is that there's not competition
for fishing spots like their are trees. Makes things a bit less complicated.

Best of luck!

Depends.

Money = Monkfish + Rocktails to 99
Speed = Fishing is about 55k xp/h when you reach rocktails but you can get 85k xp/h with ivys.
