the cheapest option by far is using oak planks (slower xp)./ or quickest method mahogany planks (faster xp but more expensive)

i would recommend starting the mini-game stealing creations and getting stealing creations hammer.  in the long run it will get you 99 construction half the cost.

1 sc hammer is approx 51k xp on either oak planks/ mohagony planks

you can use guides like "tip it" that tells you the amount of planks that you need

the cheapest way would be to mine limestone blocks and turn them into bricks with a chisel you need afew million of these I believe and would take you months but it costs nothing and is free. I think you made fireplaces with them or something like that

I think im going to combine both of your suggestions. Ill buy the limestone bricks and use sacred clay hammers to make stone fireplaces. Should cost me about 69m which is right around the ammount of money im getting anyway. Thanks

Making anything with oak planks is the same xp. And it's only 50m with sacred clay hammers, so don't do limestone bricks.

i forgot to say, if you make like example oak tables etc.  if you complete the seers diary and acquire the seers boots, you can exchange the oak tables back for cash in miscallania (please note you get approx 5% back of what you pay for).  so its not a complete loss in money LOL

What kinda surprises me is that no one mentions oak larders here.
Of course, limestone is cheap but it is... slow as hell

Oak larders are one of the best things to train with in construction:

They require 8 oak planks (no nails), and you get 480 exp per oak larder,
Thus costing around 4,1k per oak larder. That's 8,5 gp/exp, whereas buying limestone and making fireplaces is 10,5 gp/exp.
(2 limestones per fireplace: 220gp, exp for making: 40)
Another thing is that oak larders are way faster then limestone.

I'd use sacred clay hammers, hire a butler and speed to 99 with oak larders :)

Why would you make oak larders, when you can make oak doors?
Doors are 10 bits of wood, meaning you save money on Butler costs AND it gets done faster.

Use a regular Butler, use SC hammers. Then 99 construction will cost you like 50m... still pretty expensive, and takes more time 'cos of all the sc hammers.

Cheapest way, however, is by mining/wetting clay in Rimmington and taking it into your house to build clay fireplaces. :P Almost free.

Well you gotta explain me that. Running to the bank is faster then hiring a butler?

Actually, the cheapest way would be to cut your own normal logs, plank them yourself at the sawmill, and use SC hammers to make whatever while getting more planks from the bank yourself. Unconventional and impractical, but the cheapest (excluding doing just penguins or lamps which wouldn't cost a penny if you use no runes or item charges for teleports).

Still, go with Oak Planks and make Oak Dungeon Doors or Larders.

Actually, the butler would cost the same... 10 planks for 1 item is quicker than 8 planks though. :P

But yeah, the total amount of planks used will still be the same, so I think the butler will still cost the same amount. My mistake. :(

my mistake: can't build oak dungeon doors yet, so kinda overlooked it :)
So oak doors are the way to go!
