For making War Tortoises, how many shells per hour would you get as drops approximately? Or would The Tortoises near Gnome Stronghold be a better option?

I get anywhere from 30-40 an hour given my attack is only 76 >.>.
Thanks for the reply.  I did end up trying them out, so I could make some War Tortoises.  They aren't such a big pain as I thought they would be, compared to their Warped Terrorbird cousins.  I have now unblocked Warped Tortoises from my Block list.  It's all thanks to you. +1

Yeah, those Warped Terrorbirds are a pain since they are aggressive and in multi-combat >.>..  Glad you like the tip =].  And thank you for the +1.

Wonderful, another 130+ who steals my tortoises...
Only 1 out of 5 130+ I ran into hopped when they saw me killing the tortoises.

Perhaps it's use is implied, but I'm surprised you haven't mentioned the uses of the Duelling Ring. It's absolutely fantastic for Warped Tortoises--you can dump an inventory at Mobilising Armies and then use the Spirit Tree there to take you back to the Warped Torts. The whole process takes <1 minute and you can keep your familiar out the whole time. That means that there is no real need to use a BoB to carry drops--you can just bank quickly--so you can use a Healing familiar (like the Bunyip) the whole time. If you don't need the healer, I would highly advise that you take a fighting familiar. They help enormously in fending off crashers.

Well, it is the method I am accustomed to.  Also, given that i'm using these for cash I use a wealth.  The few times I forgot it, my loops were horrendous.  As i'm only 63 summoning, there is only a handful of familiars that I can use.  I will add your suggestion though.  It does seem quite useful for the summoning inclined players.

Yeah i'm sure you could.  The only thing that may prevent that is having absolutely horrible drops which happen pretty rarely.

I've tried these before (from slayer).
They were pretty fun to do and rune picks drops have a nice rate.

In your Sig, is it supposed to be Horrow? or was Horror the correct way of putting it.

Could make quite a bit of money if you gathered these and used them for summoning :)
Good mix of exp and cash made.

You get a +1 :P

dragon halberd for specs seems to work really well you get three specs since they take 30% energy

Are any of the drops worth alching so you can stay longer? or just leave them on the ground (won't get 11k before full shells)

Yes ive had couple tasks of these and its really good money specially with tortoise shells , they are like 12k ea and they drop like 60% of the drops.

This method can definitly keep up with the green dragon method.

Weird. I must be doing something wrong lol. Stayed there for about 30mins and only got 3 tortoise shells and 1 rune pick.

Yes I was using ROW. That just generally seems to be my luck in RS unfortunately.

Great tip regardless

Tried this, make 500k ish in 30 mins, its good you dont have to click chimes-->tortoise any more, but i did use a cannon which sped up kills a lot, and cannon balls only cost around 200k so 300k ish profit, but got some range xp, overall not bad but i do prefer slaying :)
