which burner do I need or should I make for gilded altar?

Do i need marble or can i just go with mahogany as they both give 100% for both burners lit?

The type of burner doesn't matter, the variations are just a personal preference.
You'll get the full experience no matter which you choose B-)

This,

but if you have mahogany burners or something, people coming to your house might get scared off because they don't think that mahogany burners give the same xp as marble.

But if it's just for you, it's fine. :P
