Well you will do more damage with void but it has low defence compared to armadyl so the real thing is are you gonna be using safe spots such as yak?-void or are you gonna tank?- Avainsies

Void range for most monsters that don't damage you too often or ones that you can safe spot. Armadyl is great for monsters that tend to do quite a bit of damage and for slayer assignments (assuming you have a focus sight).

Monsters with high defence = Armadyl
Monsters with low defence/ones you're using knives on = Void

Some exceptions apply though. In kuradals dungeon, for instance, I use d'hide (in this case it would be armadyl) instead of void because the focus sight + ferocious ring is more efficient than the effects of void.
