POPULAR

At 78 summon, you can summon a Giant Ent, which increases yield by 50% for, most usefully, things like fruit trees and cacti. Considering spines are currently 8k (though this will fall to a more regular, but still hefty, price soon enough), and papayas/coconuts add a decent profit, it's well worth a 2k pouch.

Wait, does this work for herbs as well?
If yes: Excellent tip!
If not: Still an excellent tip!Posted Image

It doesn't work for herbs, only for:

(quote from Runescape wiki)

Giant ents have the ability to potentially increase yield when harvesting fruit from fruit trees, bushes, cacti and nightshade, by 50%. This means that each time you pick a cactus spine, nightshade, berry or fruit, you have a 50% chance of receiving two of the same. However, you will not receive experience for the bonus yield.

If you do farm bushes (personally, I don't. Pretty far out of the way). they could be quite profitable too.

Great for those that have the Ent. If you are farming for a long time that 50% will add up to alot of money depending on your crops. I'll be sure to remember this if I ever get that Summoning level.

Just got it myself, and let's face it- who doesn't love a giant ent following you around? And honestly, it adds quite a bit of profit in just one run.

For herbs the stranger plant is the best option, it raises your farming level by 1 + 25% of your farming level. According to Jagex a higher farming level increases yield, although I'm not sure if that applies to invisible boosts.

Good tip, although I don't farm those plants.

If you have your spirit tree in etceteria, theres a bush nearby so you can plant poison ivy there. You can also use the ardougne cloak to tele to the monastery patch. If it's a 50% chance of getting double, then you should surely get 6 ivy berries each time you check? not bad.

I have never noticed level increases increasing yield, but I haven't done extensive testing. I will try that sometime, thanks.

I may try that, those berries are pretty useful. I have better places for my spirit tree though.
