For the ice ones, had 2 tasks of them now, and 1 staff drop.

Drops:
Staff of light, Dragon med (person next to me got one), half keys, gems, 15 crushed nests (noted), 200 pure essence (noted), super defense potion (3), 1 rune bar (Sometimes noted, sometimes not), Mithril battleaxe, assorted seeds (herb seeds and regular seeds like watermelon), assorted noted herbs (number varies for herb, rannar = 4 per drop, dwarf weed = 1 per drop, etc), coins (largest drop I got was roughly 4k), clue scrolls (level 3), Sharks, 5 magic logs (noted), 20 deaths, 20 bloods, 20 laws, random talismans (sometimes noted, sometimes not, I had fire, mind, water), Charms


I assume they drop left halves too, as they drop keys, meds and gems, but I can't be sure on that as I didn't get one. You can expect, even without a staff drop, making about 1.5 million a trip off sheer drops.

I got a 148 task, i have about 30 left, went off to get midnight bioshock.

I've made around 700k just off sheer drops, amazing, i could care less about the focus, it makes me look like fox mccloud, which is awesome, but completely useless until it's 3m+.

They (ice ones) are significantly weak against fire spells, it adds ~15 dmg to your hits. With super crap gear, no pots, pray, etc; I was hitting around 60 w/ surge.

90% sure fire spells hit 2x higher on those ice things not +15 damage

I think this is the case. I was hitting 64s not potted and not praying.

Don't you remember the olden days of switching tasks BEFORE slayer points? Dark times indeed but were actually much simpler to switch.

Yes I slayed a long time before Smoking Kills, but it makes no since because Turael never gave any task remotely good (wolves,skeletons,etc) and he would only be wasting his slayer streak (if he has done smoking kills.) It's just stupid to waste your streak just to possibly get a task which you will possibly get a drop. Just slay like regular, you will get one. No point of Turaeling/Kuradaling back and forth.

However if he hasnt done Smoking Kills (which he should have done since he would have to use Kuradal) I would seriously doubt he would want to waste his streak.)

I take task at Kurdal and change it at Turael and again if you didn't get it

Yes, and I'm 99 slayer and killed 786 tasks in row, who cares?

Jad isn't a slayer monster? and even if you did get tzhaar as a slayer monsters you would need well over 300 to get through the entire fight cave before the task is finished.

kuradal gives a special task in which 1 complete go at the fight caves finished the entire task and gives you bonus xp.. and ill definitely be taking a complete slayer helm on my next fight cave attempt :D

Wrong. Kuradal will update your task to 280 Tzharr. This is just enough to do the full caves, and upon killing Jad you gain 25k bonus xp. Therefor; Jad is indeed a slayer monster. An indirect no level required slayer monster.

It was a wise choice to let these monsters only be attackable for slayer tasks. That way, the new items will stay more 'exclusive' or 'rare', instead of half of the community camping there and causing the price to crash soon after.

Might finally motivate me to get a fire cape, something that I've been meaning to try for for a while but never quite gotten round to out of laziness on my part.

Mixed feelings about the new monsters being task only. On one hand its annoying, but on the other hand I can see why its needed to stop these monsters being too heavily camped at. remember when Aquanites were first introduced what the overcrowding was like? We all moaned about it then, so now Jagex has finally done something to help prevent the new monsters being overcrowded, and loads of people are moaning about that, so they can't win either way.

Think they learned their lesson when they released Auqanites about the camping on release of a new monster. Support all of the stuff with they've done today to prevent camping. Absolutely love the fire cape part.


And @ Sarrakas, It's your fault you don't have the guts to face off against Jad. Just because you can't buy your way to the new slayer monster, doesn't mean it's automatically rubbish.
