The distance between zuriel's staff and the staff of light is even bigger than the distance between vls and age, in pvp. (although I can't think of more than 2 cases where Mage would be the best thing to use in pvm)

Yeah i liked it having some edge of exclusivity...because apparently a fire cape is hard to get o.O;

^this tbh.. altho there was a 21 page rant on the MAXED STATS forums filled with ppl that have 99 everything but not a fire cape..

Great update overall, but jagex caves in too easily. It all started with the extremes update(well maybe the mage one was overkill but the rest werent[and the def one is only 6 pts better then brew]). Jagex needs to make elite content and stick up for the content, not cave in to people who dont even have the reqs to kill the thing in the first place.

Well it spoils fun for people that physically cannot get the cape, such as people that have a low end comp or slow internet connection.

I for one, suffer from a terrible case of intermittent lag. It's just not possible for me to switch prayers at Jad, or PK effectively for that matter. So I miss out on game content (Ice wyrms) that I pay monthly for?

In Skills wise, I think it is one of the more successful updated seeming as they have finally made a slayer monster, that people cannot camp at.
On the other hand, some people might not of even had the Strykewyrms as a task yet, which could let it down.
But overall it was a good update, and a good new monster to slay.

Seems like a good update, if I could get them for slayer....
I'm 92 slayer currently and have done 50+ tasks since the update came out without a single wyrm task of any sort.
Of course it took me over 100 tasks to get Jad for a task but I still find it annoying that something is released into the game and even though I have the stats for it I am unable to enjoy it.
4/5 for them eliminating campers. Lost a point because I seem to be unable to get them as a task.

its honestly really sad that they make content like this, have so many people playing, and less then 10 notice that hexcrest only works on SLAYER monsters. it doesnt work on such monsters as greater demons, rex, living rock creatures, metal dragons, hellhounds etc, and even though i submitted a bug report (and got alteast 20 of my friends to) they still havn't fixed it. i believe focus is the same, but not confirmed. starting to bug me, i've had to skip a good 2k greater demons this week due to it, just because i want to mage slay.

I think its pretty I myself have a firecape and I now think its pretty fair what Jagex did, but Im not bothered. Now everyone with the right slayer level can enjoy the content.
