SwiftKit, as you know, is like the wheels on a car. Once you drive a car with wheels, you can't go back. (To go back, you need a gear-box with reverse). Am I right?

In simple words: SwiftKit is this thing you download and play RuneScape with. SwiftKit has tools that help you play more effectively and waste less time looking up information and calculating. It is totally free, legal, safe, and abides by all RuneScape rules. Also, it has been around for years, and it trusted by everybody (I bet even Jagex staff use it).

Anyways, enough about SK. If you want more, click your mouse here.

------------

I recently found out that SwiftKit is being used by about 10% to 12% of Runescape players. :-| That is shocking ... that's more than 1 in 10 RuneScape players. :-O (see the stats here: http://www.swiftkit.....php?page=stats ) So I want to know if I'm the only one that was shocked to hear this.

To be honest I am actually surprised that it isn't higher then that seeing how popular it is. I know most high levels use sk alot but it is good to know that it is getting around and more and more people use it. :)

It's not that shocking, most people are either new (never heard of SK) or can't be bothered to download it/ don't care much about it (ME)

I said I'd expect more. Based on people I've talked to, it seems like more than 1 in 10 use it. Then again this stat is counting f2pers who are less inclined to download it/hear about it (if they are not as involved in the game as some members are).
Also referring to the linked stats page, I can't believe SK MS has 108k downloads! That's 108k downloads for a program for a game that doesn't exist yet :XD:

I personally thought that more people would be using it. It seems that everyone I talk to uses it except for me. I just can't be bothered downloading it. My computer is already pretty full as it is. :-/

There are a lot of users whom aren't too involved in the community and have never heard of SwiftKit, which accounts for the low percentage. It's kind of like IE and Firefox. Ask an IE user what Firefox is and 70% of the time they won't know or won't care. ^_^

That's actually a lot more than I thought there would be and the Swiftkit staff should be proud of themselves to have 11 percent of players using their software. With the amount of players that RuneScape has at the moment - 11% actually means quite a lot of people are using SK even though the percent may make it look like it's a low number. Also, as Zpoon said: a lot of players (especially new players) are not much involved in the community outside the game and forums and thus have no clue what any fansite or SK is.

I'm not really surprised at the number though; SK is a great tool to use for Runescape :-D

It was about 9% when I was told this, a while ago now...but yes, at the time, I was pretty amazed. That's a pretty chunky percentage. :-) Fair play to the SwiftKit Staff, I'd imagined it was much less.

I also like how the poll here is different to the topic title...surely any "Did you know?" requires a simple "yes" or "no" answer. :-P

I used to use SK as it was effective. But I rather like RS client better for it is simple with less buttons to see.

Wow, that is quite a large number, certainly a great statistic for the SK staff ^_^

Though in all honesty, I thought the percentage would be higher; but in hindsight, about 90% of my RS friends list use RSC, etc. so consequently a large portion use SK. Still cool though B-)

That's very impressive! I'm very glad to know Swiftkit's creator and Swiftkit itself. :-D

I would of expected more people to use it really, but I guess there's a lot of people who don't come on fan sites or use IRC so they would of never heard of it

I stopped using SK when they took out the world buttons. Made my own client after that in VB.
