A Summary of Clan History
THE PAST
Tyr's Guard was founded on June 24th, 2009 at 9:40PM U.S. Central time after breaking away from a once great, and in the founders opinion, a
failing clan named The Shadowed Legion. Tyr's Guard holds many of the ideals that Tyr had, as Tyr's Guard members follow a code that greatly emphasizes justice, fair
play, and right action.
The original founders of Tyr's Guard, Soren(Andrew), Amt(Justin), & XOW(Nick), broke away from The Shadowed Legion due to leadership disagreements(mainly with one of
the Owners, Coolnorm), and founded Tyr's Guard shortly after, with plans to become a well known clan, that also learned from, rather than repeated, the mistakes made
by those in power in The Shadowed Legion. Upon founding, the owners quickly placed Leaders who they knew well over RuneScape, or who they knew in real life from Amt &
XOW's hometown in Arkansas. It was their first attempt at a RuneScape Clan, but not their first attempt at something big.
Tyr's Guard Leadership were seen as traitors to The Shadowed Legion, even being called "the next Passion"(a reference Coolnorm enjoyed making, to a failed break-off
clan, that tried to ruin The Shadowed Legion). Such comments were thrown around often, however, as power & ownership within The Shadowed Legion began to take a new
form(most notably Coolnorm being ousted from Ownership with help from The Guard, Founder Mr. Blah Man stepping down, and two new Owners being chosen: Lady Jaeslyn
& Alnifrazz), Tyr's Guard & The Shadowed Legion became allies.
On August 11th, 2009, less than two months after Tyr's Guard split away from The Shadowed Legion, it was announced by TSL Founder Mr. Blah Man that TSL would be
closing down, and it became official on September 1st, 2009.
Shortly after(and in some ways, before) the fall of TSL, three clans emerged from the rubble: Tiger Shark Rawrr(A warring clan, led by the founder of TSL, Mr. Blah
,Neon(A community clan, led by ex-TSL Owner Lady Jaeslyn & TSL Member Bigman Sword), and Haven(A "haven" for those who lived in the past, and wanted The Shadowed
Legion to return, led primarily by CORE (A "gang" of friends from TSL) members.
THE PRESENT
On April 5th, 2010 Tyr's Guard welcomed two new Owners, as Sayinman & Klepto received promotions after a near month long election process. However, with all good you
have some bad, and on April 7th over a half dozen members (including some Staff and Leadership) left Tyr's Guard. Their departure saw the immediate promotions of new
Leaders, and the demotion from Ownership of Tyr's Guard Founder Amtgard.
Less than 24 hours after the shake-up in Leadership, an apparent plan fueled by manipulation and hatred towards Tyr's Guard was put into motion, as multiple members
of Tyr's Guard, including Owners, Leadership, Staff, and Members founded a new clan, called "Freedom", to get away from the "dictatorship" that they believed was
Tyr's Guard.
Finally realizing the inevitable, and just how deep the plot to destroy Tyr's Guard ran, the only remaining founder of Tyr's Guard in power, XOW shut down and
officially closed Tyr's Guard, beating them to the punch, and not giving them the satisfaction.
THE FUTURE
On April 8th, two members of the now defunct Tyrs Guard, decided that instead of letting it all go, wanted to revive and rebuild the clan. These two members were
and Swan. At first, both of them were slightly nervous about rebuilding the clan as they both had no experience in starting one, let alone one that people
believed was dead and of no use. Nonetheless, both of them decided that reviving the clan was the best possible thing to do for Nick, who had put all his hard work
into it and bringing back all the members of the original TG and letting them know that TG is not dead, as long as there are people, standing behind it.
Within fifteen minutes, Swan and Milennin had an agreement that they were both going to put in all their hardwork to bring back what once was a peaceful clan where
everyone enjoyed being in. They renamed it TG v.2. The basic forum was up and the new clan CC was created in just ten minutes and all Swan and Milennin had to do was
spruce up the forum, enlisting the help of various members who believed in the same movement, like Mnkey and 2b4saken. Within a few hours later, Milennin released the
new forum's URL and members had a choice of whether they would join Freedom, led by Seraph and Klepto or the new TG v.2 led by Milennin and Swan.
Many members decided to join Freedom, due to the fact that many of their friends were there and they also believed in the same motto. Although that may be so, quite a
believed that staying in TG was the right place for them and so, members grew in number. Tensions were high in both Freedom and TG v.2. Many believed it was an
act of unloyalty on both sides. There were many misunderstandings on both sides of the fence and this was cleared up. Although that may be so, both clans believe that
by keeping a distance is the right thing to do for now but still maintain friendly relations due to the many friendships that have been separated due to this.
As of this moment, TG v.2 is still growing and will forever grow stronger. Old relationships have been severed. New friendships have been created. Sacrifice is
essential to the survival of the clan and its motto. Those that left will not be seen as traitors or unloyal members. They just believed in a different motto and have
different ways to reach their goal. We have ours. It was time to let go. And now that we have, let's see where this journey takes us.

- Joining The Guard -
In order to join the clan, you must first head to our forum board and register. After that, you must place an application in the appropriate category. In
order to be accepted, you must meet the requirements of 85+ combat or 75+ combat if you are a pure. You must show evidence, should you be applying as a pure. All
members are welcome to join in clan events and are expected to be in the clan chat when they log in. Should you be on but not in the CC, please PM one of the owners
or leaders in-game your reason.
- Events -
Events are scheduled at least once a week so basically, you have lots of bonding time with your clan mates. Events that are scheduled range from combat to
skilling so whatever you feel like doing and you wanna enjoy it as a group, speak up and let the event team know. (: Events include:
