The SwiftSwitch/SwiftKit team will sift through the suggestions and if the suggestion is feasible then we'll test how practical it'd be to implement and add it to our list.

Heya! i have a sugestion, you spoke of multi-lingual support, i think this is an awsome idea! only i would like to ask if you may incluse japanese, because every one always forgets asian languges and goes with eurpoian ones, other then that thanks!

also i think it would be cool to have your own runescape SS (SK) profile, and it could work similar to stat look-up, only u make a profile and up load it, and other usuers can search for it and view it, it could have anything you want people to know about your runescape charcter, like skills, goals things like that.

There is one thing I'd really like. Can you please minimize the amount of space that has no information in it so that the game display can be bigger?

We have limited resources and i think nobody of us can speak/write japanese so i think we aren't going to include japanese, but correct me if i'm wrong.

Ideas:

- ALOT more Skins with different colours and buttons, maybe we can choose our own colours + gradients.

- A Signature which has the total time spent on RS like the Xfire signatures, except you could add overall RS time or time spent on each day or time on F2P / Members. This could also have the RS stats of the player.

- More Clan Related updates. Like Link to Runehead and a Clan Search in SS (like stat lookup). Also a decent list of Clans in RSC this might bring more people into the clan world.

- IRC that DOESNT cover RS in F2P Worlds, Allow the IRC to be move to the right Side of RS

Thanks for all your Work Strider, ive used SS forever, well it feels like it, This SwiftKit sounds great and you and ur team never fail to Impress! :D

In order to leave Jagex without a valid complaint, the new SwiftKit should not interface or communicate with the Runescape website, servers, or client, in any way, shape, or form. It shouldn't even open the Runescape client or website. That way, Jagex has no reasonable way of detecting it (short of scraping memory for the process, which would get them a ton of flack from both SwiftKit and non Swiftkit users).

SwiftKit appears to be headed along the lines of the apparently-abandoned RSDemon before it introduced RSDraco: a support utility for Runescape. That's a good idea. However, it can still visually interface with RS without actually communicating with it. My suggestion is to have the option of making SwifKit's various modules a series of windows that can be sized, individually hidden if desired, and docked to the Runescape client and to each other, similar to what Winamp does with its modules. Everything will be in one place, as it was in the past (minus the world switcher), except that the Runescape client will be operated independently (thus giving Jagex no valid reason to disallow SwiftKit's use and no reasonable way to detect it).

Feature suggestion: one thing that I like about RSDemon and still use is their version of the Runescape world map. There are lists of NPC's, locations, quests, etc. in various tabs, and clicking on any of these will center the crosshairs on the appropriate area of the world map that it's located in.

But then, it need not have a list of clans, just a link to the 'Ultimate Clan Info Directory' would do.

Also, instead of an entire new utility (Clan Lookup), it could just show the persons Clan(s) under the stats when you look him/her up

I'm not sure how screen resolutions work, but I enjoy having my computer window set at a very high resolution (1440x1920) and it causes the RS java window to be very small.

I'm not sure about programing and stuff, but is there a way to have it set so the RS Java window resolution can be made bigger/adjustable like you would for example in the picture viewer with a picture? Have it when you maximize it, it takes up the entire (well most of) window, and you can click and drag the corner to adjust its size. I'd LOVE and I mean LOVE if this was possible.

To be honest, I'd be willing to BUY swiftswitch/swifttoolkit if this was made possible. I hate how the window is so small and causes me to misclick if i dont want to set the resolution to less when I play.


Like I said, I have NO clue about programing or anything, so is this even possible? I'd love you more strider if you could make this possible

Changing the size of the RS Applet isn't possible. It is a Set size & cannot be altered without specialist magnification tools. Even if the magnification was used it'd be massively pixelated & converting mouseclicks to original locations would be a pain in the rear.

1.-I would love if you could include a "built-in" calculator to have running in the sidebar as one option. It is honestly the tool I use the most in the game.

2.- Is there a way of starting a timer when your mouse stops moving/keyboard strokes...so if you are playing the game, you dont time out when cutting trees etc. At the end of the specified time a blinking light or something....?

One basic but very usefull thin i would like to see in the swiftkit system would be timers, timers for farming patches with alarms, long term timers for tears of guthix, even just a stop watch type timer would be nice.

This sounds like it's going to be awesome!!! Good on you guys - Strider you actually got jagex to include a worldswitcher rofl!!!! Way to go.

I think most of the links and guides that you now have in ss should be kept ( don't fix what aint broke!) Something I love about ss is the access to other sites that can enhance my rs experience such as tipperit.com and rune hq etc plus the ability to have custom links space I would like to see a few more custom links provided please also some kind of over ride to mute that AWFUL rs login screen music when you very first log in . I know they have a button to stop the music, but I would ideally love something that is set to mute ONE time only and remembered as mute thereafter. This is just a little pet hate of mine and I know you cant interfere with jagex's programming but I would love a swiftkit mute button that stays muted please :)

Only way to mute sounds is completely mute your computer sounds. Jagex doesn't use midi anymore.

as admitting in game the fact u r using SS atm is putting yourself at risk of being reported it would be really cool 2 make it somehow possible 2 see/check who is using it in game. than admiting 2 recognize another SK user would equal 2 self-confession.

Rs logs you automatically out, we can't do anything about that. About that chat thing, i believe you are talking about Rs chat, not SwiftSwitch/Kit chat. We can't do anything about that.

OK well i wish i could put up a picture to show my idea, but i really have no idea how. What i was thinking though is:
1)Underthe play runescape button put a button so that when you click on it a already loaded rs world map scrolls out infront of the rs screen. Hopefully it would scroll fast enouhg so that it doesn't leave your screen grey for a while when using it.
2)Keep the Utilities in the same place. Well most of them keep the Chat, Notepad and stats look up there. But put like the skull timer and the stop watch under the Hide Utilites button, for easier access.
3)Under the button for the scrolling world map have another button with Item price look upper (is that a word)? Again it would scroll out infront of the screen, not a very big box just enough as needed for typing in the item you want to lookup. Then when the item is typed the box will expand to the size needed for displaying the information.
4)Along the same idea as the one above have a button for a bestairy, this box would show us just the limited information, such as monster level, race, hits, and maybe something like experience per, or best yet, the monsters drops. Also for more information there could be a link saying "For more information visit ...(which ever site, Zybez, tipperit.com, a small Runescape website)"
5) I would love to see something so that we could have two windows open inside Swiftswitch/Kit. Above the Options and Play duration things at the top there could a botton that gave us (the users) the option of going to screen/window one or two. This would be very helpful for when someone is on the forums and that it's right inside of SS/SK.
6)The last suggestion I can think of for right now is a calculator. Right below the for-mentioned new buttons there could be a imbedded calculator for easy adding, subtracting, and what ever else you do with it. This would save much time for merchants, rather then going back and forth with the system calculator, or even the chat calculator which is a pain because you have to switch to stats after to see the answer.

Would it be possible to do something along the lines of...

Like Firefox, if your right click on the toolbar, you can choose what buttons you want, and WHERE you want them.

Example:

When I am pking, I may want the stats lookup on the bottom, and my skull timer on the side. I would simply click on the "utilities" section, click on highscores, and drag it to where I want it (this case, the bottom.) Then, I would click on utilities again, and drag the timers and counters to the side.

I know people like having the play duration and stuff, but I dont see where it comes in. Having something that would open tools and you can place them where you want on the client would be extremely nice. There should also be a "lock" botton so you dont accidentally mess something up when you set it up the way you want.

This is also useful for like pking, skilling, and price lookups\merchanting. You need\want different things at difference times, and this could make the profile idea even more effective, because you could have a PKing profile, skilling profile, merchant profile, etc.

I cannot think of anything else at this point, but I will edit this post if I do.

Hello! I used SwiftSwitch for a long time until JaGex made it not worth while. My suggestion is to make a non runescape related program...what do I mean? im saying that their will be an area of the link buttons (ex button 1 button 2..) but they should be changeable! The name should be blank and you should be allowed to pop a link in and name the buttan whatever you want! ( I dont know... maybe a worlds link?) I am not sure how to do that tho! Tell JaGex about the program and cheat them out of the rules!!! Say stuff like...so this button that I have just randomely chosen to be named world 91 has my link to the world 91 and so on and so on! If we make the program to be "non-Runescape" then it will be legal... because you have to put your own links in!(of course theyre would just happen to be a post with all the world links, just a "lucky" way of getting all of the world links into "swiftkit" It should be named kit! Why? Simply because the links can be anything...people who download the program will maybe simply happen to put the world links in, and if Jagex questions just say its only a coincidence (is that spelled right?) that people are using world links in the buttons! because the button could be anything!!!! (cheating in a way!!!!) It is in my opinion the only way to beat JaGex's rules!!(sorry for my bad spelling im a little tipseh... :O

Make the browser Firefox based if possible, and change the IRC restrictions back to normal before the banning of SS the first time.
