[Strider3282]

Over the last few weeks we have been hard at work integrating SwiftKit tightly with Zybez's new website. This update will see some considerable changes to the database lookups in SwiftKit. As the amount of changes is so large we urge you to check out the full list of changes and fixes in the full story.

+ Internal Prices and Items Database lookups have been merged.
+ A Quests option has been added to the Internal Database lookup.
+ High prices in the Internal Items lookup will now be shortened with a "M" suffix.
+ Double clicking an item or monster in the Internal Database now directly shows the information instead of having to do two lookups.
+ Guides section the Quest Center now re-sizes to fit the guide.
+ Guides section in the Quest Center has been re-vamped.
+ Armory will now only list equipable items.
+ Armory will no longer let you put items in the wrong slot. (When available)
+ Armory will now auto-highlight the correct slot when you begin to drag an item. (When available)
+ Reduced the amount of output when exporting an Armory profile.
+ Added way to submit corrections to data in the Armory.
+ Due to the drastic behind the scenes changes to the Armory - you will not be able to load any profiles made before this update.

Haven't found anything major yet. Only thing I found is when you enter a non alphabetic character into the quest lookup, it gives this

Hmm it shouldn't let you enter in < 3 length search strings. Thanks will check it out.

Edit: Thanks fixed that bug and another when clicking on the "nothing found.." - pushed the update out.

A few bugs I've found while testing it out:

Operating System: Vista Home Premium

Armoury bugs

• When typing in "B", it pulls up a barrows set, but offsets the "B" strangely (Follow-up: this seems to be due to the fact that "Barrows - karil's set" causes the textbox to scroll over, but it doesn't seem to autocorrect itself if you continue typing or press the backspace button, unless you clear the textbox completely.)

• Karils leathertop highlights the wrong slot, will not drag to the body armour slot, but instead goes to the ammo slot (Follow-up: Bandos Chestplate also has this problem)
• When hovering the mouse from one slot to another, sometimes it won't update the popup stats to the item in that slot, but will instead retain info from last slot. seems to only affect the slots near one another
• Runite bolts give a +115 prayer bonus, but no ranged str bonus
• Amulet of fury does not have it's associated +5 prayer bonus; it instead has a +5 ranged str bonus

Armoury suggestions

• Recipe for disaster gloves could be distinguished by metal type within parenthesis, to the right of the item name, to prevent confusion and speed up the selection process.

Fixed the karils and bandos bug on zybez's end. They should highlight the correct slot now.

Keep submitting items that highlight wrong slot and i'll fix them!

Oh, here's another bug:

If you select an armoury cell, and then double-click an item in the list, it will add the item to that cell, regardless of if it's the correct cell or not. Tested with a Rock-Shell Platebody, Fury, and a few others. Seems to be a bug within the program itself.

I'm typing "B" in the textbox; I'm not hitting enter, though. And by "pulls up", I mean that the auto-complete feature pulls it up. I think it's pulling it from a time when I did a price search on the set, but I'm not 100% sure. This "bug" doesn't really have a negative effect on the program, it's more of a visual annoyance, imo.


Also, I'm just curious. Do you plan on having a built-in parser for the Adventurer's Log? I think it may help to pull up stats for those that don't appear in the high scores for a certain stat. Maybe load the page and grab the data for both the high scores and the Adventurer's Log? The data in the html is already set up in an array.

Maybe have it available as a checkbox in settings, in case people are worried that it will slow down their high scores checks.

Yes, however we are waiting for Jagex to work on it a bit more or at least announce it.

Basically there will be a button to grab completed quests from the adventurers log if you are a member. It will then auto-check those quests in the Quest Center marking them as completed.

The following are misplaced in the arrow slow when they should be in the platebody slot:

3rd age robe top
3rd age range top
Dagon'hai robe top
Armadyl chestplate
Ahrim's top
Verac brassy
Fighter torso
Zuriel's top

Secondly, Zuriel's hood is missing from the database completely.

Third, (this might need an entire overhaul to be fixed) there are no negative bonuses on any of the items. I.E. Fighter torso gives no negative magic offensive or defensive bonus. I've checked as many items as I can think of and I couldn't find anything where the negatives were taken into account. Hope there's an easy way to fix this - good luck.

Fixed those, thank you. The negative bonus thing is a bug on zybez. And zuriel's hood is here: http://www.zybez.net/item.aspx?id=5762 and i think i have fixed it, but it wont shop up until cache updates or something.

While trying to update, the progress bar got stuck for like 3 minutes so I clicked Abort... and this happened: http://www.runescape...images/8e05.jpg

Also, the text is pretty much unreadable here: http://www.runescape...images/8e06.jpg (note on the main form the headings under "Runescape News" and even the sub-headings under SwiftKit news are hard to read because of the white font color on the light light light blue background.

... If you're going to use "Show" then use "Show" for all options. Don't use "Show" and then "Hide" for the next option.

And since it is better to avoid negatives, I would recommend these be the options...

That's the theme you have, is it a default one? If so I'll look into it.

Yes, it loads the classic page when you click the 'Play RS' button instead of the main RuneScape.com page

This is working as intended. The window is big enough width wise to see the guide, if you wish to view the guide in full screen you can open it externally.

Strider3282: Good to hear from you yet again. It's been so long since I've taken the time to actually comment to any of the recent SwiftKit News, but this one caught my eye.

Nice seeing you've joined forces (well more so than previously known) with Zybez. I'm still backing you all the way on finally having the big wigs to accept and list this website, and your client, as "safe" and "legit" according to Jagex standards.

Hope to see you back on the game, some day, any day. And don't work TOO hard on your baby, SK. See you next update, and if I happen to stumble upon any bugs I'll be sure to inform you.

[Unwatchable]

Not sure if this is the place to put it, but when I was trying to put "Agile Top" to my chest slot in the Armory, it put it to the Bolts slot.

Just thought I'd let you know
