Does E-dating Affect A Clan's Success? Have your say!

Now where i got this idea from was basically looking at Legolas and Cutekiyaa from Divine Forces. They have been E-dating for quite some time and moved in together as many would know. Despite doing this, many thought Legolas would be inactive and that he would have no interest in RuneScape anymore, but infact Divine Forces became a powerful force and indeed worked its way up to the top.
I personally believe that E-Dating gives the officially ranked member more responsibility and makes him want to show his girlfriend that he can put effort in and by doing so whatever he is putting in effort for will give a positive outcome. I believe in this day and age we have a perfect example to witness in EoS as our very own Mr_Nickos_Jr and good friend Nancy are newly E-daters. I also believe it will show us whether or not the clan can adapt to this massive change or whether it will not go to good plans in relation to the further success of my dearly loved EoS.
Although this may seem biased towards the positive side, it is by far not. I have seen my fair share of E-Dating in the past as with the couple currently dating known as Viper1500 and Yay Serena (At the time named Pureologist). When they engaged in a relationship over the internet via teamspeak/webcam, Viper decided to quit Final Resistance and leave it in the hands of a prestigious boy known as Conditions21. In doing so it resulted in the climatic end of Final Resistance, but left the remaining members in a question of "why did he close the clan down because of a relationship?"
I'd like to hear all of your ideas on this matter and what you think the future will hold for clans that give residence to couples.
Here's the question once more;
Can a E-Relationship affect the success of a clan?

Interesting theory OP that it can affect the success of a clan, I personally don't agree with it. Kind of undermining if you say you clans sucess is based off a leader who works harder because he's in a internet relationship.

I believe that has happened in a few smaller clans in the past, but I doubt it'll affect any big, well known clans today. Most of the leaders in big clans have the sense not to get involved in E-relationships.
