Well, in the past we have all seen clans succeed due to different and unexpected series of events. One event that has always puzzled me is; Can a E-Relationship affect the success of a clan?

Now where i got this idea from was basically looking at Legolas and Cutekiyaa from Divine Forces. They have been E-dating for quite some time and moved in together as many would know. Despite doing this, many thought Legolas would be inactive and that he would have no interest in RuneScape anymore, but infact Divine Forces became a powerful force and indeed worked its way up to the top.

I personally believe that E-Dating gives the officially ranked member more responsibility and makes him want to show his girlfriend that he can put effort in and by doing so whatever he is putting in effort for will give a positive outcome. I believe in this day and age we have a perfect example to witness in EoS as our very own Mr_Nickos_Jr and good friend Nancy are newly E-daters. I also believe it will show us whether or not the clan can adapt to this massive change or whether it will not go to good plans in relation to the further success of my dearly loved EoS.

Although this may seem biased towards the positive side, it is by far not. I have seen my fair share of E-Dating in the past as with the couple currently dating known as Viper1500 and Yay Serena (At the time named Pureologist). When they engaged in a relationship over the internet via teamspeak/webcam, Viper decided to quit Final Resistance and leave it in the hands of a prestigious boy known as Conditions21. In doing so it resulted in the climatic end of Final Resistance, but left the remaining members in a question of "why did he close the clan down because of a relationship?"

I'd like to hear all of your ideas on this matter and what you think the future will hold for clans that give residence to couples.

Here's the question once more;

Can a E-Relationship affect the success of a clan?

They can but if the clans really big it doesn't seem to have a huge impact. But if it's a smaller clan it can affect the clan.

Only thing e-dating causes is drama, men just flame eachother and then ignore eachother or talk it out. Woman will spread rumors and sneaky stuff about the other person for months..and it can potentially ruin a whole clan's community, seen it happen enough time over the few years in TT.

It depends on who in the clan is e-dating and what kind of person they are.

In general I don't think it makes a difference.

Yes it does, can cause alot of damage in clans when leaders are chosen over things clan member don't see.

I don't have anything against people that e-date, but why not just get in a relationship IRL? Or is e-dating just more preferred?

Interesting theory OP that it can affect the success of a clan, I personally don't agree with it. Kind of undermining if you say you clans sucess is based off a leader who works harder because he's in a internet relationship.

When Monkytrix and True2k8 e-dated, Monkytrix totally excluded her clan which resulted in it closing.

I remember back in Deathrow like 3 consecutive male leaders had had girlfriends that caused significant inter clan drama just due to them dating and the girls becoming power whores. Gud times.

Thought this was actually a some-what serious topic til I saw this part

If a leader gets into an E-relationship with a currently unranked member, then it could play havoc for the clan involved. That leader would favour the person they are "seeing" for any promotions over anyone more qualified for the position. In doing so you could have a dangerous situation arising. Other officials may fall out with the person dating the leader, and that person will go to the leader who will potentially force out/demote good officials because they don't want to upset there girlfriend. Members may see the disagreement in leadership and decide to leave as well, thus causing the clan to slump/die.

I believe that has happened in a few smaller clans in the past, but I doubt it'll affect any big, well known clans today. Most of the leaders in big clans have the sense not to get involved in E-relationships.

First off, I think its sad to e-date and its only for ppl who are very shy irl.

When youre e-dating it will not affect the clan cause its not really a seriously thing, but if the 2 will living together ofcourse it affect the clan if it doesnt there relationship is sadly boring lol.
Nice try tho.
