Hi,

I really don't know what (cheap (less then 1 mil)) plate body I have to use. I am currently level 70 defence and i still use a rune platebody. I heard u can earn some good armour in a mini game, but I don't know which one...

You could play barbarian assault and get a fighter torso. It gives you +4 strength and fairly good defense.

You can play barbarian assault and gain access to a torso which has the same stats as a rune platebody but has +4 strength bonus which is i believe the same/better than bandos.

They were most likely talking about a fighter torso from barbarian assault. It's a very good alternative to a far more expensive bandos chestplate. Another platebody you could consider would be torags, the only problem with that is that it is barrows which means that you will have to pay to repair every 15 hours.

Torags is far superior to bandos or a torso. The only problem is the 60k per 15 hours of combat... but that's no problem lol.

Not necessarily. I find that on every single slayer task, barrows is never needed. I would say a torso is better than torags unless you have bad defense.

Verac brassard (519.6k ) is good for defence and prayer bonus.
Fighter Torso is allright for strength bonus but it's not that good of a defence as rune plate for exsample and its pain to get.

Then Torags is also a fine option.

FIghter torso (free) - Barbarian Assault minigame
Pros: Free alternative to the bandos chestplate, just slightly weaker defence bonuses
Cons: Takes a while to get, and I don't think when it gets dropped on death, you can reclaim it (it disappears)

Granite platebody (185k)
Pros: Slightly higher bonuses than the rune platebody, no requirements to wear
Cons: Considered nooby? heaviest item for chest slot

Dharok's platebody (585k)
Pros: best defence bonuses for a platebody (tied with Torag and Guthans, but Dharoks is cheapest)
Cons: degrades, you need to pay money to repair it

Verac's brassard (520k)
Pros: good defence bonus, prayer bonus
Cons: degrades, you need to pay money to repair it

rockshell plate is nice too. But other than that...rune plate is a really good plate to use forever and always

It's actually the stats of an Adamant plate, I'd stay with rune or go for torags, or save for a bcp

i would use rock-shell cause it is a little bit better defence than rune platebody, and i think it looks cooler

I recommend Dharok's Platebody, as it is currently the cheapest of the 3 strong Barrows platebodies.

Actually, the Rune Platebody and Rock-Shell Body are statistically identical. Don't believe me? Look on Zybez item database.
