If I die for my degraded vls (which is 12m) and lose it, will I get the death potential out of it? Or will I get nothing since it is non-tradeable?

if the value indicated by the death value thing says 12M, then you WILL get the death pot. for it. Cheers.

No, this is the right forum wannabe mod.

Yes, it is added to your Death Pot. I died for full Vesta, then got an ancient statue afterwards.

Have any questions? PM me.

Yes you will get drop potential for it. I have died for a degraded vls many times and have gotten great loot afterwards.

Degraded items DO NOT count toward death potential. If you die with the item to someone, their ep will not decrease and they will not receive a drop. Anything else anyone telling you is based on luck of drops afterwards.

I'm not sure if it's confirmed or not. My theory is that since it turns into dust no value is added to death potential.

a fair few people seem to have ignore my above post saying from experience that IT DOES NOT COUNT
any dp gained is from other losses like arm you were wearing/main wep

I don't see why it wouldn't count...

Even though the item isn't tradable, it still has value (evidenced by the fact that if you have only it on you, the items kept on death window show you having a risk - If on a non +1 world)  It isn't entire value of the item, but it is significant.

So, wouldn't you get at least some death heat from it?  I think so.  Anyways, if you know it is about to turn to dust because you have been keeping track of the time you have used it, what's to lose?

No you don't, because when pvp armour/weapons degrade, they're value becomes higher, people were buying and dying for them then going to 26k/76k so they made the potential less then the actual risk, although you do get some potential, Just more like 6mil then 12mil.

if the item degrades into dust, you get no death potential.

if the item is lost while pking, degraded or non degraded, you do.

i take advantage of this by wearing FULL vesta and when ONE piece degrades i go die with the other two.
works very well.

For the 50000th time, you do not get DP from degraded PvP items. You do from barrows cause of (as stated before) the have trade values when completely degraded. SO FOR THE LAST TIME, NO, DO NOT DIE WITH YOUR VLS, JUST USE IT OUT, YOU WILL GET NO DP!!
