Introduction Hello, Im Keith and this is my guide explaining to you everything about an agile pure. Agile Pures are 35 defence pkers with Agile Armour & Barrows Gloves. These accounts can risk very little in pvp and be successful- in order to gain lots, as the majority of the armour they will be wearing is untradable and recovered free on death. Or it can risk high with pvp armour, chaotic, slayer helms, or other items to dominate it's level class. An agile pure is an account meant to hybrid, as Agile armour gives decent defense bonuses - While giving no negative attack bonuses to any attack style. That being said, with 35 defence pking in adamant or proselyte armour is always an option if they would like to melee. Traditional switch hybriding still remains an option with a statistical advantage of barrows gloves at a low combat. This topic was originally the discussion topic of the agile pure - Which I have since changed into the guide you are reading now, so If the Comments dont make sense, that is why. So now that you have the Idea - I'll go into further detail of the equipment this account has available.
__________________________________________________________________________
Armour
((Agile Armour))
This requires high agility levels to get, and is widely viewed as the hardest part of the account. In order to receive it, you must do 250 "perfect" laps on the Advanced Gnome & Barbarian Agility courses. "Perfect" Laps are laps that you do not fail - These Laps do not have to be in order (i.e you can fail the 7th lap and still have 6 laps marked off). The advanced gnome course requires 85 agility to do, but can be done at 80 with summer pies, or 82 with an agility potion. The advanced barbarian course requires 90 agility, and can be summer pie'd with 85, or agility potted with 87. This armour is FREE to retreive on death, just talk to the Gnome & barbarian on their courses to get another if you lose them - This can be done quickly using a games necklace to barbarian outpost & talking to the barbarian - then taking the gnome stronghold shortcut nearby to get to the gnome course. The Agile Top gives +40 to all defence bonuses - With no negative attack bonuses. The Agile Legs gives +25 to all defence bonuses - With no negative attack bonuses. Similar to the stats of void armour - Except unlike void - once you get this, you dont have to spend hours getting it again should you lose it. I will explain the most practical method of doing agility.
Short Agility Guide. 1-4 is advised to do the circus for some instant levels.
1-25 is pretty much Gnome Course, Then it is reccomended you do The Grand Tree quest for 30ish agility. At this point - If you havent completed
One Small Favour &
Troll Stronghold - it is reccomended you do - and use the lamps to boost your agility into the 40s. From here on out, complete Bar Crawl and any other
agility experience quests (cold war, underground pass, etc). From your current level you should do Barbarian course or the Brimhaven Agility Arena to 52.
52-65 can be done at the wilderness course, if you are very low combat you can do this on pvp worlds as long as your lvl 20, without disturbance from pkers. Alternatively, If you have completed Monkey madness and gotten a ninja greegree, you can do ape atoll from 48-83, you will fail a bit at lower levels, but just bring a knife and collect pineapples for food, do not eat over to over 20 hp - as the damage you receive on falling is based around your current remaining hitpoints. You will fail less after 65, Even less at 70, Until you stop failing at 75.
65-83 should be done at ape atoll.
83-85 would be done quickest using agility potions on the advanced gnome course. Agility pots (only 200-300gp on the GE) should bring your agility to 86 - enough to do 2 laps per dose if you are paying attention, the advanced gnome course is without doubt one of the funnest courses in the game, so you finally escape the boredom of ape atoll. at 85 you are pretty much finished with agility - you can summer pie barbarian course - this will take about 150-200 pies, so it will take a bit of money - but you can still make that money back much quicker than you can get 90 agility. You will fail a bit more than on gnome here, But just keep remembering this is the last time you'll have to do this. After that - Congratulations - You now own agility armour, the only set of armour you will ever need while hybriding.
((Barrows Gloves))
These are obtained from recipe for disaster, and are currently the best gloves in the game. This is the edge of 35 defence, You are one of the lowest defence levels to get barrow gloves. Getting these gloves requires effort, Doing all the subquests and obtaining 176 quest points can take a few solid days of questing - But just remember, Once its done - It's over with. There are 2 things to watch for when questing... Defence & Prayer Experience.
DEFENCE Fortunatly, Defence experience is easy - as there are only 3 quests to do for barrows gloves that give defence exp.
Dragon Slayer - 18650 Exp
Heroes Quest - (Random Reward between 2625 - 3075 exp based on your defence level)
Nature Spirit - 2000 Exp
PRAYER Prayer questing is entirely your decision, If you want minimal prayer with barrow gloves these are the only quests you do.
The Restless Ghost Priest In Peril Should you feel the urge to train prayer higher - Remember one thing... with higher prayer - You put yourself in the level range of rune pures with lower prayer, so you both will have the same offensive stats, except you will have lower defence. Although prayer does have it's benefits such as higher max hits and more accuracy. Should you choose to go for protection prayers that will open up alot of training spots & make slayer easier - But just remember, this account is meant to pk, so unless 15/16 prayer is unbearable for you, I'd advise you remain as low prayer as possible. I will however, list the important quests for higher prayer.
Recruitment Drive - (Initiate + Proselyte, Ardounge Cloak 2 requirement) 1000 exp
Rag and bone man + Wishlist - (Ram Skull Helmet) 5500 exp
Fur'n'Seek + Wishlist - (Ram Skull Helmet E) 8500 exp
Another Slice of HAM - (ancient mace can be used to finish legends with lower than 42 prayer) 3000exp
Ghosts Ahoy - (Ectophile) 2400 exp
Rum Deal - (Cave horrors, Holy wrench, Access to mos' de harmless) 7000exp *
can't do if under 47 prayer Land of the goblins + Miniquest - (Zanik's Bow) 15750 exp
Swan Song - (Monkfish, Great Brain Robbery Req) 10000exp
The Great Brain Robbery - (Barrelchest Anchor) 6000exp
Dealing With Scarabas - (Enchanted water tiara; possible requirement for future quests) 7000 exp
Note: You don't have to do all of these, Just the ones that get you to your desired prayer level. To conclude the questing section / Barrow Gloves Section of the Guide, I will add a quest list, These quests will finish you off at 35 defence, 12 prayer.
DO NOT TAKE THE MM REWARD! You can return to ape atoll by talking to daero, there will be 2 options in the dialog - one should ask about going back to ape atoll.

Thanks to Hevendor for providing a typical skill requirement list for bgloves - these are roughly the stats needed.

((Adamant Berserker Shield))
This is another item made for 35 defence. Formerly the best shield for 35 defence,
it has been surpassed by the faithful shield defensively - however this shield still provides strength bonus and is quite good for non+1 pking,
or if you havent got a faithful shield. It is reccomended to buy this on the ge and then charge it in fog, If you are a lower level, Your best odds of getting the 10 tokens to charge would be on a free server, as the odds of survival are greater - and alot of f2p players train magic in fog. If you have a higher level account, you should use ancients and claws in members - Just dont count on winning all the time, as alot of 130s like to play this game. The bonuses of the the shield are slightly better defensively than all of the adamant kiteshields bonuses. This item was recently updated to be recharged for 10 tokens instead of 17, meaning these can be recharged very fast, usually within a single game... but with this change the prices rose, uncharged adamant berserker shields are occasionally a pvp drop - so make sure to hold on to these.
((Adamant Defender))
After you have 130+ attack + strength levels you can go get an addy defender from the warriors guild. I like to use black armour sets for tokens, as they dont lose pieces and are easy to kill. After you have tokens, continue to kill cyclops until you get an addy defender. If you want multiple adamant defenders, the trick to doing it is to always bring a mith defender, dont have an addy defender on you when you go into the room or she will release the cylops that drop rune defenders. After you have your desired amount, Congratulations - You are well on your way to max strength bonus.
((Slayer Helmet))
After you reach 85 combat (summoning levels count), You can do
Smoking Kills to unlock slayer rewards. After you do enough tasks you can unlock the ability to make slayer helmets - and you will then have the best helmet in the game for agile pures, which is at it's best when made into a full slayer helmet (see below), as its stats are similar to a rune full helmet - Without ANY negative attack bonuses, so you can add that to your hybriding gear, in additon to having a good melee bonus. The only downside is Black Masks needed to make it are currently 1m+, making it inefficient for pking unless it is your most valuable item. Tips for completing tasks would be to use Summona for every 10th task - And Mazchna / Vannaka for all the rest, this will be approximately 50 tasks. Using summoning to gain 85 combat is recommended - especially if you're a hybrid, as your combat levels will take longer than someone who is melee based. With 68 summoning you can get this at 76 combat, which is 94 range 94 magic if you are 15/16 prayer. Do note that 99 range maxes with 99 hp at 83 combat if you are 13/15/16 prayer, so using summoning to achieve 85 combat is practical. Be aware smoking kills will be very hard without protect from ranged, but it IS doable, just beware when attempting the boss fight at the end of the quest, bring rocktails and be prepared to tank some deadly hits from the kalphite humanoids. Use of morrigans or claws for the entirety of the fight is a good idea if you can't protect from range. save your spec for the ko, as the humanoids will aid the banshee at half hp... meaning you need to ko her asap if you don't have overheads. The trick to killing the boss is by running to the far east/west sides as far over as you can get - and only 2 or 3 out of the 4 insects can range you. This allows the hits to be enough to heal - safe to full hp every time you're attacked - this is not PvP, YOU HAVE TO SAFE. Save your spec for after they help, and be quick to switch back/eat if you don't ko her from half hp.
((FULL Slayer Helmet))
This helm is as good as it gets, It's the full form of the slayer helmet - with a hexcrest and focus sight added. This helmet not only is better than a rune full helm - it gives +10 magic defence, and +3 magic/ranged attack bonus. This helmet can be very expensive to make... Keep in mind that its alch value is 0, so it will likely be lost on death. Great for training, or safe pvp - if you want to pk with it, you better have a nice bank.
((Ardounge Cloak))
The Ardougne cloak is achieved from the ardy achievement diaries. The cape is 100% recoverable on death - for free, as with most of the gear this account has. This is a decent alternative to pking with god capes, as they can be a hassle to recover sometimes. The cape comes in 3 variants, 2 of which the agile pure can acheive (ardy cape 3 requires 40 def because you need to be on lunars, saves you some skilling though).
Ardounge Cloak 1 can be done by doing the easy diary, and can be accessed without any prayer or defence exp. It provides +2 stab att/defence, +2 magic defence, and +1 magic attack, which can be great for dds specials when pking with karil bow or corrupt morrigans axes/javs. This cape also provides 2 prayer bonus.
Ardounge Cloak 2 provides more bonuses, +4 stab & magic attack/defence, and +4 prayer. The catch is - it requires some prayer quests to be completed. Sea slug is a requirement for the medium diary, and needs recruitment drive to be finished, meaning 1k prayer exp. Another requirement being meeting history, which gives about 2k prayer exp. This diary also needs 47 farming in order to be completed. While having some hard reqs, the cape is worth it if you've already decided on having prayer on your account - but if you want lower prayer - just stick with ardy cloak 1.
((Ram Skull Helmet / Ram Skull Helmet E))
Should you decide to raise your prayer, you can complete
Rag and Bone Man and The Wishlist to receive a Bone Sack / Ram Skull Helmet, The Ram Skull Helmet is the same as an Adamant Full Helmet Defensively - But no negative Magic Bonus. Add on the fact it is free to recover on death (and much better looking imo) and its a helmet worthy of pking. The lowest prayer level you can have the ram skull helmet at and still have barrow gloves is 25 (lower with the restless ghost update, but not much), So if Jagex changes protect item back - This would be a nice way to go with your account. But until then - the decision for prayer is still left you you. A recently released quest called
Fur'n'Seek allows the helmet to be enchanted after completing the quest, plus an additional wishlist. This wishlist is much harder than the first - Requiring 78 Slayer to Kill aquanites, and as mentioned in the defense training. The slayer requirement will take the longest - however the mithril dragon bone will drop more infrequently and the femur explained below will be the hardest.
Femur - Killing either Bork or General Graardor is needed for the femur bone. Since you can't complete the quest, What Lies Below, at 35 defence - you can't kill Bork for the femur... You must kill GENERAL GRAARDOR - The Bandos Godwars dungeon boss. Killing Graardor is possible without prayer - But you will have to do it at a bandos mass - and inflict the most damage inorder to receive the drop. Using Dragon Halberd, Armadyl Godsword, Ruby Bolts (e) would be likely ways of achieving this. If its not happening you could try claws and hope for lucky specs - It is not recommended you solo this unless you are closed to max melee already and have a yak/overloads - the best option for lower levels to have a friend tank him for you while you get him to 40% hp, then killing minions to take some stress off the tank when he's dead. Shouldn't take longer than 4 or 5 kills unless you're extremely unlucky. SAFE AT ALL TIMES... not worth wasting your tanks time if you die; don't bring rings of life either - Ill_Knockout was kind enough to tank bandos for a couple kills and I ring of lifed out and came back to see the bone on the floor waiting for me - while being unable to get it without kc.
Mithril Dragon Tail Bone - The mithril dragon bone isn't hard, mith dragons will attack with range/magic if you're at a distance, so range them with runite bolts or better (they have insane defence and high hp; don't cheap out) bring the best magic defence you have, an anti dragonfire sheild + potion, and protect from ranged, sharks for food. They take a long time to kill, it can get a bit frustrating if it doesn't drop in the first few kills - but it shouldn't take over 20 kills at most. Remember to bring bait, a bow, and an oak log for barbarian training if you haven't completed it yet. The skeletal horror fight is easy enough but shouldn't be underestimated, just safe to high hp, protect magic, and bury the bones when he drops them - DO THIS ASAP. He can hit 300s if I'm correct so be careful. The Ram Skull (e) is the best helmet to pk in on an agile pure. It is free to recover, Gives +3 in all defence bonuses more than Adamant Full Helm - Without negative magic bonuses, And looks Beastly. It takes alot of work to get, but since you already will have agile & barrow gloves, this is a walk in the park in comparison. ***After the quest is done, I recommend going to varrock museum and doing the digsite part until you get a "clean" ruby necklace - show it to the museum worker and he will teach you how to make digsite pendants - the digsite pendant is the quickest method of getting the ram skull helmet back on death.***
((Proselyte))
This is the best melee armour available to agile pures - as it gives a prayer bonus, it requires 30 def 20 prayer to weild - So if your a 15 prayer agile pure - Addy is as good as it gets. Proselyte can be gotten at 18 prayer, by only doing rfd prayer reqs and recruitment drive, although it can't be worn until 20 prayer. Defensively it has the same stats as addy - except with a prayer advantage - which for people with 31 prayer can really come in handy. You must finish
Slug Menace &
Wanted to buy it from Sir Tiffy. The quests for this are required for the void knight quests for Korasi's Sword, so if you're a die hard meleer this is for you. You can also range in Black D'hide Chaps and Proselyte Body using Ava's Device - it still retrieves the arrows so this can be used for a Tank Range setup for pking or slaying.
((Faithful Shield))
NOTE: THIS ITEM HAS BEEN NERFED TO 40 DEF, IT'S NO LONGER AVAILABLE TO 1-39 DEFENCE. This rather attractive shield has defensive stat's equivalent to that of a
rune kiteshield, except with the addition of a rather large prayer bonus. The catch being it requires 200 castle wars tickets to purchase, which can take a bit of time. This shield is excellent for training on 35 def - and when combined with a slayer helmet your defense bonuses arent very far off of those of 40 defense. The faithful shield has a 120k alch price so it's a must have for tanking in +1 bh, as it will protect over a dscim, rune cbow, or barrows gloves. In addition to pking - it's extremely useful for PvM, including slayer or bossing, this shield is any pure's companion and will prove useful in many scenarios. At the time of writing - Castle Wars can be AFK'd - meaning you don't have to do much but join a team, and keep yourself logged on. Try to find a desolate spot of the map if you are doing this, as dying will result in having 2 minutes to exit the respawn room or you will be booted from the game. AFK'ing 40 tickets a day means you can have the shield in 5 days with very little effort.
((Other Armour))
There are many more items you can use that I wont go into further detail on because it is more of less common knowledge, they are - Fire Capes Body Body Corrupt Armour Sets Varrock Armour 3 (Do not complete
What Lies Below or
A Souls Bane for this) Snakeskin Armour Dragon mace & Dragon Battle Axe Mystic Robes Infinity Robes 3rd Age Robes Gold Castle Wars Armour Imbued Rings Legends cape (if you get prayer or use ancient mace to get 42 pray points to finish) Studded body (f2p) Combats Robes (f2p) Adamant Armour (also trimmed and gold) God Books God Capes Black Masks & other Slayer items Adamant Boots Adamant Gauntlets Broodoo shield Gold Helmet (do not finish quest or your account is ruined)

The format is Attack Strength Defence - HP - Prayer - Range/Magic - Summoning (If necessary)
76-77 Combat
50 90 35 - 85 - 13-16 - 94/94 - 69

83 combat
50 99 35 - 99 - 16 - 99/99
60 90 35 - 99 - 13 - 99/99
Same as above except maxed. Add 11.5 combat levels if using wolpertinger for max barrage of 491 with maximum magic damage. *Will need a few summoning levels for slayer helmet's combat requirement.
84 Combat
60 88 35 - 99 - 26 - 99/99
Access to same as above along with Proselyte Armour, Ardounge Cloak 2, Ram Skull Helmet, and 10% range prayer. *Will need a few summoning levels for slayer helmet's combat requirement.
86 Combat
60 88 35 - 99 - 43 - 99/99
Access to same as above along with Zanik Crossbow, Ram Skull helmet (e), Fire Cape, Protection Prayers, Stat bonus prayers, & Legends cape.
87 Combat
60 90 35 - 99 - 45 - 99/99
Access to same as above along with better prayers and higher strength. Pretty much fulfilled bonus.
90 combat
60 99 35 - 99 - 45 - 99/99
60 88 35 - 99 - 74 - 99/99
First build is maxed out completely.
Second build has access to max equipment with Falador Shield 3, , Barrelchest Anchor, the Rigour Prayer from dungeoneering, Smite and other prayers, Rapid Renewal from dungeoneering, & Access to Mos Le'Harmless/Cave Horrors.
91 combat
60 99 35 - 99 - 52 - 99/99
60 88 35 - 99 - 77 - 99/99 50 99 35 - 99 - 77 - 99/99
First build is completely maxed with smite.
Second/Third builds have everything as the second build above as well as the Augury Prayer from dungeoneering - maxed range/magic hybrid.
93 Combat 80 99 35 - 99 - 16 - 99/99 This build is 16 prayer, a risky choice in the 90s - but chaotic melee weapons at that combat is very much an account to be reckoned with... the max hit is much higher than anything a rune pure that level has to dish out with melee... and the accuracy will do you justice. Consider summoning in place of overheads, as this account could be an effective slayer...
94 Combat 60 99 35 - 99 - 77 - 99/99 Maxed hybrid, all gear, definitely could be a threat, rune pures are usually around 60-70 attack at this level and should be easily killed with the bonuses of rigour/augury.
99 Combat 99 99 35 - 99 - 16 - 99/99
Definitly a risky choice not to have overheads at 99 combat, although 99 attack with chaotic would combo anything that level with ease, so it's definitely an offensive build.
These are the builds worth consideration - Other 35 defence builds don't max their combat levels out very well and wouldn't be as successful as these.

Training Once you have armour taken care of, its time to get your account into shape. I will cover here the best way to bring your levels up. Most of this is assuming you have high agility and/or barrow gloves already. ((Getting Mid-Level Stats)) Getting 70 Ranged. First off, you should have accumulator - theres no excuses not to. The next thing you should do is go buy 10k bronze knives (or as many as you can afford). Get any other ranged equipment you may have... and go to Yanille and to the exclamation mark on the map below.
You will be training at a spot exclusive to people with high enough agility, The Yanille Agility Dungeon (you need 57+ agility). Go to this point on the map, bring a knife or slash weapon for the webs, and about 2 or 3 cakes.
Go down the stairs - and south east to the ledge along the wall and cross. You will now be in a room full of chaos druid warriors, remember these for future reference. Run past the chaos druid warriors, going east, until you reach the monkey bars, cross the monkey bars and you will be in a room full of chaos druids. Congratulations - You now have a room full of chaos druids to your self, without having to compete with 20 other pures and low to mid level mains over them.
Kill these and bank all your herbs until your 70 ranged, there is a door south of the monkey bars that you go through when your invo is full. Go through the door and up the stairs - You will now be next to yanille bank, Back your herbs and run back to the dungeon. Should you wish to continue range training... You can use the blue dragon shortcut in taverly dungeon, you can kill these until 80 or so range, If you have summoning that would help alot for banking hides. Note: Since writing this; the dungeoneering resource dungeon has druids that usually aren't crowded and there are herb spawns; consider this. Getting 70 strength. Continue with the Chaos Druids in the Agility Dungeon, except bring a melee weapon of course, you can use sacred clay scimitars for quicker exp if your under 60 attack. Continue to bank your herbs until you are 70 strength. Getting 80 strength. By now chaos druids will be too easy, You remember those chaos druids warriors you've been passing for so long? It's time to start training on them. Bring about 12-16 trout/salmon/cakes - And continue on these until 80 strength. Chaos druid warriors drop herbs, and secondary ingrediants... most of the secondarys fetch around 1k each on the ge, so bank them if you'd like. To bank just use the same door you used for chaos druids, past the monkey bars.
By now you should have 50-60 attack, and 80 strength. It would now be a good time to go to the warriors guild and get adamant defenders. You could also move on to doing slayer, or other common monsters to train on. Magic By the time you have gotten barrow gloves you will have already gotten 57-59 magic, The best ways to train from here on out are either cursing the zamorak mage in varrock castle, alching, or superheating. If that is too bothersome you could always play pest control or soul wars for your magic levels. If you'd like hp levels you could go kill metal dragons with Fire Bolts (dont forget chaos gauntlets), in brimhaven. Another possibility is to air strike rats in a negative mage bonus. After you hit 63 magic you can charge fire orbs for mage exp - I will explain more about that in the money making section. ((Advanced Training methods)) Once you have decent well rounded stats, Here are some places you could try training. Range Earth Warriors (bring good def + broad bolts, bunyip if you have it) -recommended- Black dragons in RFD lair (also taverly dungeon if your agility is high enough) Fire Giants SLAYER Chinning (with prayer) Avainsies (with prayer) Soul Wars Tzhaar Pest Control Ogres Blue Dragons Melee Green Dragons Zamorak Warriors (BRING DEF BONUS) Slayer Undeads with Salve Amulet (e) Soul Wars Pest Control Mighty Banshees (with prayer) -recommended for prayer- Bandits (with prayer) Zombie monkeys (with prayer) Gorillas (with prayer) Magic Alching (Elemental Battlestaves convered in Money-Making Section are good) Stunning in soul wars with Sacred Clay Staves Enchanting Bolts Fire Bolting Metal Dragons with Chaos Gauntlets Bursting/Barraging Skele-Monkies, Nechryaels, Mummies, or Rock Lobsters (prayer) -recommended if you have the cash- Soul Wars Pest Control Making Teleport Tabs. Superheat Item.
__________________________________________________________________________
Money Making There are so many ways to make money in this game it's not funny. As an agile pure, you will have the advantage of almost never running out of energy when money making, so you have plenty of quick options available to you. Some of the possibilities are...
Fruit Bat Getting 69 summoning should be done in order to get slayer helm at a lower combat level... along with it comes 3 of the most useful familiars, Bunyip, War tortoise, and lastly - the fruit bat. Once you have 69 summoning for fruit bats, you can use fruit fall scrolls with it outside a bank to have it drop papaya. There is usually ALWAYS a papaya dropped from each scroll, otherwise nothing will be dropped at all. At the time of writing fruit fall scrolls are 250 each and papaya are around 1.3k each - this usually comes out to 450-500k per hour. It is also recommended to pick up orange drops and put them in baskets, they should ALWAYS sell on ge, as its used frequently for farming. Don't worry about summoning pots if your special move runs out, just cast it again as soon as it restores.
This can get tedious, but it's good money, I've made about 5-6m a day off this in the past - one of the best options for money on pures if you don't have access to frost dragons or you're not interested in fighting over crowded dragons.
Fire Orbing You will need money going into this, but if you have been training at chaos druids you should have more than enough, You will also need 63 magic. First off go to the ge and buy the following.
You will also need a fire staff and an antidragonfire shield, next you go to falador - over the broken wall - north east to the Taverly Dungeon.
Enter the dungeon and proceed to the agility shortcut to the north - This requires 80 agility. Proceed past the spiders and black dragons (hope you remembered your shield), to the fire altar - charge your orbs - tele - repeat. This makes about 1.5k mage exp each trip and about 300k per hour. With level 66 magic you can also do air orbs - in edgeville dungeon. If you get Varrock Armour 3 you can use your 64 battlestaves daily and make them into air/fire battlestaves - excellent alch items. *Note: Lately these have been seeing fluctuations in price - They don't always instantly sell - so don't panic. A good tactic would be to runecrafting double cosmic runes while waiting - to prepare for the next load. It's been a while since posting this so it could be out of date.
Runecrafting Not much to explain how high agility will help this skill, Wether it be running to the nature or law altar, or even the abyss - Agile Armour makes this skill much easier, helping with the moneymaking. Agility is also useful for runecrafting cosmic runes (helpful when orbing - above). Blue Dragons / Scales With 70 agility you can go to Taverley Dungeon Like before - Except now you go south to the other agility shortcut to the blue dragons. In here you can either kill blue dragons for hides & bones, or collect the scales and sell them on the ge. This is even more profitable if using the Taverly blue dragon resource dungeon that requires 70 dungeoneering. Recommended to have a beast of burden for this of course. Sara GWD The main reason everyone gets 70 agility is for this, if you have prayer you can do quite effectively with your agile armor here. You should be able of finding vids for pure sara gwd on youtube. :) Slayer Since Agile pures have access to all the shortcuts - slayer seems like a practical skill. Although it will become much harder at higher levels without prayer. Not to mention you need this skill for Slayer Helmet & Ram Skull Helm E (should you decide to raise prayer). There is little difference in the skill than there is on a rune pure, be sure to use your "tank" gear for dust devil tasks or other tasks that have monsters you can't safespot that have high accuracy.
Frost Dragons As of writing, this is one of the best spots to make money - easily 1.5m per hour. They require 85 dungeoneering and are in the Asgarnian Ice Resource Dungeon. You need Protect from magic to kill these, and it's very ideal to bring a cannon with you - don't worry about losing profit on a cannon; The time spent killing each one is cut in half and you save on prayer pots as well. The money made is off of frost dragon bones - and the small shot of a visage. They drop effigies more commonly than most monsters - and are GREAT charms. You should have at least a war tortoise to make the best cash. Their weaknesses are stab attacks & fire spells - but personally I range them with cannon because magic is alot more expensive and melee is too dangerous; it still hits fine.
Be careful not to AFK these, if one spawns over you - you're dead, if your prayer drops, you're dead... in seconds. I have done this many times and it's simply not worth AFK'ing, I'd also invest in the 500k gravestone if you have a short attention span like me.
If you're 16 prayer; forget it, I've tried to cannon and hide, but the money barely pays back the cannon balls and its a pain getting hit when you reload.

5.0 - Frequently Asked Questions Q: I have a question not covered in this guide - may I pm you? » A: Yes of course - I may not always be on the forums - If I'm on irc my nick is Forty-Lashes.
Q: Wouldn't a Rune Pure be a better choice because of vengeance? » A: You can't hybrid with vengeance. You'll be on ancients; meaning if you hybrid enough to make an account centered around it; why get something like vengeance that won't be used very often?
Q: Wouldn't 40 def be more viable because of rune armour? » A: Rune is often extraneous in a hybrid fight. I can't think of an excuse to switch to rune when hybriding.
The reason behind this is becase if you are switching to rune; it's to defend against ranged or melee... if you are being ranged you switch to a melee weapon and have the advantage... if you're frozen and can't melee back you range back with no disadvantage whatsoever.
If someone is meleeing you, the solution is to freeze and tag with melee or continue maging - if they are in dhides their melee defence is comparable to adamant anyway... even then you can still melee hides in agile or range gear with no disadvantage in the fight. Add in the money and inventory space you save to this and the advantages are definitely worth considering.
Q: Couldn't you have 35 defence with turmoil instead / wouldn't rune pures with turmoil be better? » A: If you want to take down turmoil - the best thing to do is to not get turmoil.
Here are examples of why.
60 99 45 with Turmoil and 99 HP = 99 combat. The max hit with Dragon Scimitar is roughly 420. 80 99 45 with 45 Prayer and 99 HP = 99 combat. The max hit with Chaotic Rapier is roughly 460 The max hit with Chaotic Longsword is roughly 500 (cls is just a tick slower than dscim) The max hit with Korasi's Sword is rougly 390 (same speed as dscim with a useful special that hits about 600) Not only does the second build have more weapons available to it - it's more accurate, and hits higher with chaotic. Soul split is countered with protection prayers, pro melee if someone soul splits you and leechs aren't something to concern yourself with, because they can't be activated when turmoil is on. This is just comparing zerker to zerker- you'll be over 2 combats lower while having close the same max hits on a 35 defence account. Not only this, but turmoil pkers max at a MUCH higher combat, and their prayer level mainly benefits melee which in turn can hurt it's potential to hybrid.
Q: Can't a rune pure get agile and hybrid with ancients too? » A: Sure... but at a higher combat level than an agile pure. In the same sense, someone with 70 def could wear steel and melee, would they be as effective at meleeing with steel armour as someone with 5 defence - I think not. The same logic applies here.
Q: Can you get the agile armour back if you die? » A: Yes you can receive new sets by talking to the gnome and the barbarian - Ironicly the gnome stronghold and barbarian outpost are right next to each other, and dont forget to grab a prayer book from the lighthouse - right next to them as well. You cannot drop the agile sets and pick up more - they have a destroy option. Q: Getting agile back seems like alot of work every time you die. » A: When when you think about it - making that 400-500k back you lose on a main or rune pure every time you die takes alot longer. All you need is a games necklace and you can get agile back very quickly - Spirit trees help as well. If you are in a situation where you must return on death, Its more incentive to survive - but you can always grab a set of addy/pros and run back to combat.
Q: OMG AGILITY IS SO BORING! » A: Music helps, also getting on skype/ventrilo and talking to friends can take your mind off of it. Talking to friends in game can be good as well - but try not to stop your movement to type messages. You can get it in 2 weeks if you do a level a day - about 200k agility exp per day, not too hard. Getting to level 75 is the most work you will have to do, after that it is smooth training. You can also remain pure until you get about 4-5 sets of agility brawlers - and then just get 85 agility in 3-4 days, using them on the last obstacle on the wilderness course. The bottom line is - dont think about how boring it is, or else you might get overwhelmed and give up - Keep your eyes on the prize and keep thinking about how much you will own once you get agile armour - but dont get impatient.
