Have you ever had a similar situation? Ever been totally dominated in pking and lost that whip, or those claws? Ever been koed by the evil chicken and lost your phat? If you have, post your story here

I once went into the Lumby dungeon with 5m cash and 2m is supplies with a candle. It was for a slayer task and the bugs murked on me before I did anything....

The biggest loss I've probably sustained in RuneScape would probably be before I was mildly wealthy and was running around in the Taverley Dungeon with full Guthan's. I was afking and when I returned to the computer, I had lost my spear and 2 million worth of items. After that though, I've never afked again except for short bathroom break and answering the door so I learned my lesson.

I've died 2x for full armadyl and many thousands of chins - went afk for too long while chinning. I think i protected barrows gloves, fury and skill cape over full armadyl which kinda sucked.

Loss via skilling- 99 craft. It's cost me 24M.

Loss via death- Dying at Commander Zylania. Lost guth helm, spear, sara d'hide body, obby shield, rune c'bow, 400 ruby bolts, accumulator, about 300K in supplies, zammy stole, snakeskin boots, and barrows gloves. Total being about 5M at current prices, but it was about 3.5M back then. I had gotten a hilt split earlier in the day, though, splitting into 9M, so therefor, I really only got 5.5M off the hilt- So I made money that day, but not as much as I should have :3

Fire Giants task, in the ChaosTunnels.

Had used up all my prayer + was at like 20 hp, went to exit the dungeon. went through moss giants, got to the skeletons, and lagged. Dced. Returned there and whitescreened and must have gotten a random. Lost my torso and some other stuff .

Around a million, I think I lost the worst when I died cutting yews in Catherby and lost around 1.3m worth of items. I am really paranoid about dying with important items or ones that are not easy to replace. Crystal Shield and Mime Gloves come to mind.

In F2P, you can't really lose much. Though for some fun, my friend and I ran through the Wilderness, when it was still dangerous, with full rune and 100K on us. We were trying to see who could make it all the way up and back. Needless to say, I did not make it past level 30. Weeks of work down the drain.

Back when I started buying rares. Got a pumpkin when they were 20m, then they dropped to 12m or something, sold it and bought a green mask at like 25m, they dropped to 20m, then bought a santa at about 28m, they dropped to 20m :-\

I don't bother buying any god wars items/claws/any other expensive item. I've lost a couple whips pkin, and a lot of rune, but thats about it.

In one single death? Probably when i was on one of my wc'ing accounts (a level 27) wearing one of my santas, changed window to check forums. Id love to say that i learnt my lesson but i did the exact same thing about a month ago on another of my secondaries at iron dragons whilst slaying, only lost about 8 mil in items that time but also a fire cape so it was perhaps worse as it took me 8 attempts to get the damn thing lol.

Over time though it is most definately being in a clan - throughout 05 i lost up to 10 sets a week at about 300k each and soon had to sell both my party hats (which i oh so regretted a few months later when they started to skyrocket) and in 06 it got really bad; despite the fact that rune sets fell to below 200k from then onwards i somehow managed to rack up an average of 20-30 deaths a week. I dont know quite how much ive lost nor do i want to know, but i imagine that i could get most of the buyable skills with ease lol.

I've typically been lucky, the only time I've died and lost too much was when I was training at bandits last year or the year before. I had my laptop in the kitchen and was doing the dishes at the same time, doing intervals to make sure I could have time to eat, etc. (I was too poor for Guthan's at the time ) I came back at one point just as my HP hit 0 and I collapsed to the feet (or roots, in this case) of the creature that killed me; a Strange Plant. I only lost about 500k-1m, but at the time I was dirt poor lol, I ended up training in full rune + d scim until I got more money and bought some decent gear.

This may sound a little newby, ok A LOT newby. But anyway, I believe I was level 50 and I had finally gotten enough for full... addy. :) Anyway I was about 10 years old at the time so I had no clue what I was doing for the most part, but I was lured and lost it all basically the next day. I was absolutely devastated. :P I laugh about it now of course, but that was a big deal to me back then! I haven't lost anything important to me ever since that.. fateful day...

If you mean at one time then i lost 57m to a house scam, a couple of weeks of construction's release. I got koed for sara cape inf boots, fury, cash, blue mask a whip and something else i dont remember.

I had quit for a year after that, everytime i think about that it makes me wish I had gotten 99 prayer with my friends w/ bones at 1300, but i decided to wear my money lol.
