Yeah, the new items make a bit of sense. I'm loving the new pickaxe- Although flipping 280 rune ores into bars would be a bit... over the top. Perhaps it comes with 400 coal a day? As in after you make 400 coal worth of bars, it stops it's smithing ability? Only problem with 400 is addy bars don't fit evenly into it, but...

The new harpoon's real bonus is the +10% speed increase. As there's the Barbed Tail harpoon, or the fact you can harpoon things with your hands alone, it's just a +10% speed increase, which, on it's own, MAY be a bit underpowered, judging by the rarity of these items. I'd say either: Make it a +15% or +20% speed increase (20 seems a bit high, I vote for 15), or make it give like, 10-30 extra experience as well.

Before changing the two items, I have some questions ;

For the pickaxe, what happens to iron ore ? Is it affected by the 400 coal limit ? And silver, and gold ?

And I don't quite understand the harpoon idea. You want it to be a 25-30% boost instead of 20% ?

I'm off for the night ; see ya tomorrow ^^

It's not often that you see a well thought-out suggestion like this. I like this entire suggestion!

Good point there... I guess have them count as one coal each? Maybe two? I dunno for that one :3

Wait, it's a 20% speed increase? That's good. I thought it was a 10% increase. Yeah, 20%'s fine.

Thanks ^^

Dukkie : I have changed the pickaxe, and I decided to put 480 charges a day. That's 240 steel bars OR 120 mithril bars OR 80 addy bars OR 60 runite bars. That's not so overpowered. I also have changed the pick so its ability won't work iron bronze, silver or gold bars. That's just ... too much trouble :p

I have also added the examine, low alchemy, high alchemy and weight information on the rewards. Also twisted the Garden of Regrets to make it a little more difficult.

hey this thing is rocking one thing though the new magma staff first off its two handed thats new i like it but for a two handed staff that a rare drop dont you think it needs a bit more power i mean you need to go through the whole dungeon and after that you may not get it so added the difficulty i think you need to beef it up a bit

just a suggestion your choice dude gnarly idea.

Just thinking of this. Every game, players should recieve 1,000 experience in any skill, dependant of what team they were on. Brawlers can choose from Attack, Strength, Defence, Range, Magic, Prayer, Summoning, or Slayer. Any others are of the skillers choosing. Also, players have the option to take 5,000 experience in any skill. That chance would occur once a day. If they choose that, they are no longer eligable for one of the random drops at the end.

Hummm, as the players still get exp in the minigame, I think an experience lamp would be a better idea. Maybe one for the brawlers, one for the skillers ?

Added experience lamps as a reward. As the lamp are a somewhat uncommon drop, they have 10K exp as a reward.

As for the magma staff, I'll compare it with other two-handed staves. I still think the stats are okay, tough. I'll see !

I have slightly changed the attack bonus of the staff. It should now be a little superior to Ahrim staff.

Another suggestion. I think there should be a new item, only createable by obtaining a certain drop from all of the levels monsters. I'm just going to name the ideas that come to my head. Maybe some set of minor body wearables? Because of the four larger monsters, besides the end boss, they each drop an item for the set. Gloves, boots, a ring, and a necklace. When worn alone, they aren't that powerful. Each only give a +2 bonus to each stat. (Crush, Slash, etc.) When worn together though, that number increases to +15 for every one of those stats.

The set must be enchanted though. *Note: The following, if you don't feel it is necessary, can be discarded. I am just running with ideas, can't stop now.* To enchant it, you must make the required potion. Needing 4 ingridients, 35 herblore is needed to brew it. Then, you must take it to Hetty the Witch, with the set of items. For 500 gp, she will put them in her cauldron and say the required incantation. After that, the player is free to use the set with it's full bonuses.

All of the items can be traded, but once enchanted they become an untradable set. You must wear every item to get the full bonues.

At each large monster, only one player will recieve a set piece

Hum, I think this is a so-so idea. First, I wanted to give the rewards at the end ; this way you will need to put effort to get to the end AND this will prevent any sort of camping.

And, personally, I think there's enough exclusive rewards for now, especially for combat. But heh, I don't want to offend you :X

And, anyway, as you are like a high level adviser to meh (<3), are the Smoking Pickaxe and Sharpened Harpoon fine ? The low and high alchemy value ? I want to be perfect for the Competition :-P

No offense here, I am just on a creative rush. I have many things rushing through my mind. As for those items alchemy values: The Smoking Pickaxe is fine. The price for that would be high, that is the type of thing that many players would love to have. The harpoon may be a bit high, but even if the alchemy value was higher than the actual value on the market, the market price would soon surpass it due to players wanting to make money off the alching. That is why you never are able to make money alching items. All the players buy that item to alch it for profit, but then the market price surpasses the alching amount.

This isn't a "minigame", but more of a clan dungeon :-P

How could you make sure that enough games could go on at the same time without a major lag? Looks like this will take a lot of server space, as it is almost like a quest.

Assuming only a few clans would be able to do it, and that the games is already able to handle multiple pest control games, I think the game will be able to handle this. The dungeon itself is only a cave, so less detailled then let's say Zanaris, so this will take less space.

Still, I'm not a professional. Let's see what JaGex will think about this !

If really the servers can't handle it, then it seems only one clan could do the dungeon at a time.

Just a question; are teams allowed to be formed by random players? Is there a waiting room for players who are not affiliated with a clan to join a team for that game? Your last responses just made me wonder. By clan, do you mean official or is that just the group of players?

An official clan ; I wanted this to be a dungeon, and not a minigame. We have enough minigames as it is. But Jagex could add it as a minigame if they want ...

Alright, how would JaGeX know if the clan is official or whatnot? Would a memberlist be needed, how would they tell? I am not that familiar with dungeons and teams, sorry for that.

By official clan, I mean the members of the same clan chat. As I said, the leader of the clan chat will enter the fenced area besides Helios, choosing a team. Then everyone in the same clan chat will be warned they have challenged the Volcano of Hatred. They have 10 minutes to enter the area and choose a team between skillers and brawlers. Then, everyone of the same clan chat in the area will be teleported in the Hall of Hatred.

You see ? :-P
