The Volcano Of Hatred Ready to battle your own sins ?

Ready to battle your own sins ?


Back at the beginning of the Fourth Age, the Ignis tribe was fighting for its life. Those scorched battlefields that became the Wilderness wasn’t a welcomimg home anymore ; it was a dangerous and hostile place, filled with agressive ghosts and dangerous creatures whom only purpose was to survive after those dark days of the God Wars. The Ignis tribe barely survived ; caught in the midst of the battle, only their courage and hope gave them the ability to escape the mighty forces of the Gods.

- Soon, we will die. We need to find a resting place. We already lost 3 men yesterday, I don’t want more deaths. Our numbers are decreasing day after day, said Phoebus to another man of the tribe as they walked in hope of a new warm and welcoming home.

He walked up on a cliff and saw the Lava Maze only a hundred meters away. He needed to get away from this place as quickly as possible.

- We’ll be going North-East from there, said Phoebus as he looked at his watch. I’m sure we’ll find something there. It’s only my intuition.
- Phoebus, are you mad ? Do you really consider doing the Crusade ? said a man to the left of Phoebus.
- Vicus, shut up. We already talked about that. It’s my ... decision.
- Do you really realise what you are doing Phoebus ? Do you think the Ignis will survive if they lose their leader ?
- The Crusade of Sins will be completed, the Aura will be restored. There’s nothing you can do about it, Vicus, said Phoebus as he looked the stone in his hand with sadness.

After a couple of hours, the tribe arrived at a magnificient volcano. Phoebus sensed the feeling in his heart. He lost almost all hope. All he wanted was to flee. Far away. Very far away. No, he had to do it. Far away. He had to do the Crusade of Sins.

- The Volcano of Hatred, said Vicus. The Ignis hadn’t visited this place since Calculus’s Crusade in the Second Age. That’s probably why the Aura has weakened. What a stupid error it was.

Phoebus rotated its head to face Vicus’s one. He looked straigth in his eyes. Yes, Phoebus was chosen. Vicus, too. Both agreed. They entered a small passage on the outskirts of the Volcano. The monsters weren’t there. That meant the Aura was really weakened. They went in a big circular room. A big stone was in the middle.

- The Core of Pain. I will complete what the destiny wanted me to do, said Phoebus.
- Are you sure it is what you want, Phoebus ?
- Yes.

Phoebus took his sword. He was ready. With all the force he had, he stabbed the stone in the middle of the room. The stone exploded. But it was not finished. Phoebus was in the middle, his head between his hands. He seemed to suffer.

- No, no, please ! PAIN ! No, no, please, let me alone. HATRED ! YES ! Vicus, kill me now, before I transform in Dolorirae ! DESPAIR ! said Phoebus, shaken by convulsions.
- What must be done must be done, said sadly Vicus.

Vicus closed his eyes. He took his sword in his hands. He striked. Phoebus dead corpse fell to the ground. The Supreme being revived, the Crusade of Sins was completed and the Aura restored. However, Vicus wasn't worried of Dolorirae's return. He knew the courage that bears the Ignis's hearts will be able to control it. Vicus went outside. When he went out of the volcano, everything seemed peaceful. Even if he was near the Volcano, he knew the Ignis would be peaceful for ever, at least until they leave the Volcano. But he wouldn’t do the error his ancestors commited.

He closed his eyes.

- Ignis ! Your great leader Phoebus has passed away ! In his ultimate attempt to fight our sins, he revived the Aura. Thanks to his great courage, we shall be safe for ever ! But at one condition. In honour of Phoebus, we shall dedicate our lives to fight the sins that this volcano shelters ! For Phoebus !

And the Ignis responded.

Welcome, people of the suggestion forum. The Volcano of Hatred is probably the biggest idea I have ever done. Its mission ? Essentially, trying to balance the combat triangle while offering a new extremely dangerous dungeon. As this is the biggest idea done by me yet, I'm open to constructive critiscim, especially with the rewards ; I don't want them overpowered, too !

Please note that this thread is best viewed in the Thoreau Dark skins.

3. The Volcano of Hatred [VLCN]



The Volcano of Hatred is a new dungeon, where a clan (By making a team of skillers and a team of brawlers) try to complete 4 different room to get to a boss monster, Dolorirae, which drops new items such as the Magma Set or the Shield of Pain. The Volcano will be located at the already existing Volcano deep in the members's Wilderness (North-East to be exact). Because it is in a members-only area, this dungeon will be members-only. This dungeon is extremely difficult, and is recommended only for high level clans.

- Information about the Volcano -

- The first room will always be the Hall of Hatred.
- The last room will always be the Core of Pain.
- You will go trough 4 to 8 rooms randomly. (Not including the first Hall of Hatred) before reaching the Core of Pain
An example of a volcano trip : Hall of Hatred --> Garden of Regrets -> Corridors of Agony --> Hall of Hatred --> Passage of Despair --> Corridors of Agony --> Core of Pain.
- You wil never get the same room twice in a row.
- When you die, you lose your items !
- The whole volcano is multicombat.
- After every room you will go into a waiting room (See below).
- For skillers, you have a fail rate for every action you do (See below).
- The smoke in the volcano will prevent you for using the public chat. Also, the smoke will sometimes prevent you from seeing the other team. You will still be able to use Friend and Clan chats.
- There’s a minimum of 10 person on a team ( 5 brawlers, 5 skillers) and a maximum of 20 persons on a team (10 brawlers, 10 skillers). The number of people in the skiller and the brawler team will always be equal.
- If you are kicked from the clan chat during the dungeon run, you will be kicked from the dungeon and will reappear right next to Helios.
- The dungeon is unique for any clan. This means that the clan will have its own dungeon. If another clan is doing the dungeon at the same time, they will not be in the same dungeon, but instead in their own”.
- The dungeon itself isn't in the Wilderness, but still, to get to the entrance you NEED to get into the Wilderness (Except if you finished the Fiery Diplomacy miniquest). Beware of revenants !

- The Fail Rate -

For every action the skillers will do, there is a chance that the action will fail. It is based on the skill level. The formulae is :

If x = skill level ; 100-x : fail rate in %.
So if I have a 87 crafting level, I have a fail rate of 13% for every action that requires crafting.

When you fail, you stop doing anything you were doing, and you cannot do any actions for 5 seconds.

- After each room -

After each room you will be put into a small cave “waiting room” to wait for the other clan members to get to the exit of the room. When everyone will be in the waiting room, a countdown of 30 seconds will begin, and you will proceed into the next room. You will also be able to bank during the waiting time, if you pay 1000 coins however.

4.1 Ground Level [GRND]

At the volcano, you meet Helios, its guardian.

Helios (H) : Welcome at the Volcano of Hatred.
Player (P) :

Option 1 : Can you tell me about this volcano ?
Option 2 : What could I find in this volcano ?
Option 3 : How can I enter the volcano ?

Option 1 :

H : This ancient volcano bears some ancient powers. Our clan worship this fiery place as a sacred site. In our legends, it once said that this volcano is the source of the sins of the world. It’s told that his core, black as the night, is able to crush the very emotions of every living beings at kilometers. It is also told its pain is so great you can feel it like a 1000 needles in your heart. Until now, this volcano has been closed due to our ritual. But now, as the anger of the volcano is higher then before, we have opened it ... That’s why we seek other clans that might help us to understand what is happening to our sacred site.

Option 2 :

H : Many sacred artefacts are buried in this volcano. If you are lucky, you could get some ... But beware, the anger of the Core of Pain is higher than before ... If you join the skiller team, it will be less dangerous, tough. But remember, we do not have godly powers over this volcano ! The lava will engorge every item you lose in it ! Gravestones will melt ! So beware !

Option 3 :

H : The leader of your clans must first enter the area besides me, and choose between the skiller or brawler team. Then, our sages will warn everybody of your clan that you have challenged the Volcano of Hatred. They will have 10 minutes to enter the area and choose a team. You will then be teleported to the Hall of Hatred, and you will need to go trough four to eight rooms randomly : the Corridors of Agony, the Garden of Regrets, and the Passage of Despair, before arriving in the Core of Pain. And I repeat, do not bring any items you are willing to lose !

Option 3.a

P : What about the skiller team ?
H : The skiller team will be the support of the brawler team. The skiller team will be in combat, but more rarely, and it will not be as difficult as the brawler team. However, very high skill levels in Woodcutting, Firemaking, Crafting, Farming, Construction, Fishing, Cooking, Theiving, Mining and Smithing are recommended, because you can fail your actions. You will be supplied, so you don’t need to bring your own stuff. You still need to bring armour !

P : What about the brawler team ?
H : The brawler team is the team that will be the more engaged in combat : therefore, high combat skills are a must. Supplies should also be bought as our clan doesn’t supply food and other useful items. Teamwork is a must if you want to be succesful in a brawler team, especially with the skiller team.

Now, do as Helios said, and start the adventure !

Note : The Rocky Cave is a shortcut to the TzHaar city, only useable if you have finished the miniquest Fiery Diplomacy (See point 7). The Lava Strykewyrms are new monsters, explained in point 8.

4.2 The Hall of Hatred [HATR]

Description : It looks like a big hall (!). with outer cliffs. There’s ruined pillars up the cliffs, and magma rocks in the walls.
The Goal : The skillers must put pillars on the celling to stabilize it. This way brawlers will be able to go to the other end of the hall.

Skiller team :

I begin ... : At the top of the cliffs, to the north. You can see the brawlers, while the brawlers cannot see you.
Supplied : Bronze pickaxe, chisel.
What to do ? : You must first mine magma rocks *THIS IS A MINING ACTION AND IS SUBJECT TO FAIL RATES*. Then, using a chisel, craft it into a pillar *THIS IS A CRAFTING ACTION*. Finally, put the pillar on one of the pillar stand. *THIS IS A CONSTRUCTION ACTION*. Note that the two pillars must be set at each side for the brawlers to pass. The pillars can crumble at any time !

Brawler team :

I begin ... : At the very base of the hall, to the north. You cannot see the skillers, but they can see you.
What to do ? You need to get to the end. Wait until the skillers inform you (by clan chat ;) ) that you can walk. If you ever walk under a weakened celling (Not strengthened by two pillars), you will be dealth damage up to 10% of your TOTAL HP. You will also be attacked by many level 75 Odium (They attack with range so be sure to keep auto-retaliate off !). The Odiums will also attack the skillers, so be sure to defeat them as soon as possible, as the skillers cannot fight back.

4.3 The Corridors of Agony [AGNY]

Description : Two long corridors. There are lava waterfalls and pool on the west corridors, and there’s monsters on the East corridor. There’s also traps in the two corridors.
The Goal : Get past the waterfalls and the traps lowering health and disarming traps.

Skiller team :

I begin ... : At the very north of the WEST corridor. You cannot see the brawlers, nor they can see you.
Supplied : Harpoon
What to do ? : You must wait for brawlers to stop the waterfall. When this happen you will recieve a message. Then, proceed and disarm the traps *THIS IS A THIEVING ACTION*. You can also fish lava eels *THIS IS A FISHING ACTION* in lava pools and cook them in sulphur vents *THIS IS A COOKING ACTION*, then give them to brawlers trough rocky passages. This will heal them 10 HP, and has a 25% chance to cure poison.

Brawler team :

I begin ... : At the very north of the EAST corridor. You cannot see the skillers, nor they can see you.
What to do ? : Brawlers must kill many aggressive Level 75 Agon to lower their health. This will stop waterfalls from faling in the skillers corridors. Note that all the brawlers must have the determined HP for this to work. The HP needed is determined by this :

There are a total of 7 waterfalls in the skiller corridor. For each waterfall, you need to get 10% of your health away. So, for the first waterfall, you need to have less than 90% of your health remaining, for the second, 80%, for the third, 70%, etc ...

BEWARE ! In the brawlers corridor, some rumble will sometimes fall, causing 50 damage. This is very dangerous.

4.4 The Garden of Regrets [RGRT]

Description : This is a maze-like room, where skillers are on a upper level and brawlers on the ground level. There’s many roots everywhere. This dungeon is random, so the maze changes each time you get in the room. The minimap doesn't work in this room, for both the skiller and the brawler team.
The Goal : The brawlers must go through the maze to the exit.

Skiller team :

I begin ... : In the upper level, north side. You can see the brawlers, but they can’t see you
Supplied : Bronze hatchet, secateurs.
What to do : You must chop the roots *WOODCUTTING AND FARMING ACTION* to let the brawlers pass. Beware, as the roots will grow back after 2-3 seconds, so you’ll need constant attention. You’ll also be attacked by level 10 Desiderium Spawn.

Brawler team
:

I begin ... : At the ground level, south side. You cannot see the skillers, but they can see you.
What to do : You must get to the end of the maze, while skillers will chop the roots that block the passages. You will be attacked by many level 75 desiderium. They summon level 10 desiderium spawns that attack the skillers, but when you kill them the spawns disappear. Stay in contact with skillers to go trough the maze !

4.5 The Passage of Despair [DSPR]

Description : A square-shapped room, with a cliff on the east side.
The Goal : The brawlers must break a rock wall to get past. However, the smoke in the dungeon prevents them from attacking by reducing their Attack, Strength and Defence stats to 1. The skillers must make potions get the skills of attacker up, as well as indicates them what combat style they must use.

Skiller team :

I begin ... : At the north-eastern corner, up the cliff. You can see the brawlers, but they can’t see you.
Supplied : Nothing
What to do : You have two tasks : produce potions, and say the combat style that the brawlers must use to break the wall.

Potions : To the south-eastern corner, there’s Lava Potion (unf), Limpwurt Roots, Eye of Newts and whiteberries. You must make potions *THIS IS A HERBLORE ACTION* and use them on rocky passages to drop them down the cliff on the brawler’s side. A lava potion with a :

Limpwurt Root make a Strength Potion
Eye of Newt make an Attack Potion
Whiteberry make a Defence potion

Combat style : There’s a Magma Spire to the east. You must use a defensive, accurate or agressive attack style on it. When the rock on the spire, breaks, you get hit by 5 damage, but you know the right attack style to use. Then, tell the brawlers (Using clan chat, of course). The attack styles changes every 30 seconds or so.

Brawler team :

I begin ... : At the south-eastern corner, down the cliff. You cannot see the skillers, altough they can see you.
What to do : When you enter the room, your Attack, Strength and Defence stats are reduced to 1. You cannot attack the rock wall (To the west) until you get the stats up. You must get some potions to the north, made by the skillers. When you drink them, your stats will restore to the maximum (If I drink a Lava Defence Potion, and I normally have 86 defence, my defence will return to 86). You can then attack the Rocky Wall with the attack style indicated by the skillers. (You will hit the wall as if your stats are all up, even if some are down to 1 because of the smoke. This is really just to add strategy :p ). The potion you must drink depends of the weakness of the wall. For example, if the wall is weak to the defensive style, you must drink a Defence Potion to bring your Defence stat up. Don't forget, the attack style change every 30 seconds or so, and the effect of potions stops at every 40 seconds or so (Your stats will return to 1) In the brawler side of the room, there’s also many Level 75 Despero. They attack with magic, and therefore can hit the skillers (The skillers won't be able to fight back so kill them as soon as possible).

- The Wall -

The Wall do not attack, but still count as a NPC. It doesn’t heal itself. It has 1500 hp.

4.6 The Core of Pain [PAIN]

Description : A big circular arena. Skillers are on the outskirts, while brawlers are in the center. This is the last room you will enter.
Goal : Defeat the Supreme being : Dolorirae (Level 575).

Skiller team :

I begin ... : To the north, up the cliff. You can see the brawlers, but they can’t see you.
Supplied : EQUIPABLE Harpoon, Bronze Pickaze, Bronze Hatchet.
What to do : Before the battle, Dolorirae will be invulnerable. You will need to make special smoke to weaken it.

- The kind of smoke –

To know the kind of smoke you must use, you must attack the magma spire to the north with the harpoon, the hatchet or the pickaxe. When the spire breaks, you get hit by 5 damage, but you know what smoke you must produce (Breaking the spire with a hatchet means you need to do woodcuting smoke).

- Producing smoke –

When you know what kind of smoke you must make, you must collect the material : either fish lava eels *THIS IS A FISHING ACTION* in lava pools, cut burned tree *THIS IS A WOODCUTING ACTION* or mine magma rocks *THIS IS A MINING ACTION*. . You then need to put the material on the hot stone *DEPENDING ON THE MATERIAL, IT WILL BE A COOKING (LAVA EELS) ACTION, A SMITHING ACTION (MAGMA ROCK) OR A FIREMAKING ACTION (BURNED TREE)* To weaken Dolorirae, there must be materials on the two hot stones at the same time. If you put the wrong material on the hot stone long enough, Dolorirae will do a magical attack that will hit EVERYONE in the room, including the skillers ! Dolorirae will become wise of your tricks every 30 seconds or so, so you'll need to change the materials often !

Brawler team :

I begin ... : To the south down the cliff.
What to do : You simply must defeat Dolorirae. Beware, as it is invincible until the skillers weaken it. It is recommended to kill the Desperos and the Odiums, as they can attack the skillers. It is also recommend to kill the Desideriums as their summons attack the skillers.


- When Dolorirae is defeated –

When it is defeated, you will be teleported right next to Helios, who will thank you and gives you 10K (15K if you have finished the Fiery Diplomacy miniquest). You will also recieve an item Dolorirae has dropped. You could recieve very rare armour, or only 50 fire runes ! It is random, but everyone will recieve an item in its drop list.

Special items can be gained by defeating Dolorirae. They are all tradeable, except the Tools of Hells.

The Magma Set

The Magma set is a buffed version of the Splitbark set. It was made in hope of rebalancing magic in the combat triangle. here's the multiple parts :

Smoking Pickaxe (80 Mining required to use it, 60 attack to wield it) Posted Image
Examine : Smoking is bad for pickaxes.

The smoking pickaxe has the same stats as the dragon pickaxe. It is also as fast as the dragon pickaxe. The difference is that when mining, it has a 75% chance to smelt the ores you mine, if you have the Smithing level required, of course, without the need for coal ores ! It doesn't work for iron, bronze, gold or silver bar, only for bars that requires coal ores. Replacing a coal ore requires one charge, and you have 480 charges per day. So, for example, mining a rune ore with this pickaxe will smelt it into a rune bar and uses 8 of the pickaxe's charge. After that, you will need to wait 24 hours before the pickaxe's ability to smelt return. You can still mine with it, however. After 24 hours, you will be able to recharge your pickaxe for 500 gp at Nurmof of the Dwarven Mines or Tati of Keldagrim. With a Ring of Charos (a) equipped, you can trick them to recharge your Smoking Pickaxe for only half the price, 250 gp. You get Smithing experience when the special effect smelt an ore.

Sharpened Harpoon (86 fishing required to use it and wield it) Posted Image

It is similar to a normal harpoon, except you can equip it. You will also fish at a slightly faster rate (15%) with this harpoon. It doesn't have any combat bonuses.

Tools of Hells (92 Smithing, 92 Firemaking, 80 Mining, 61 Woodcutting and 86 Fishing required to use it, 86 Fishing and 60 Attack required to wield it)
Examine : Hot & devilish.
Low Alchemy value : 40,000 coins
High Alchemy value : 55,000 coins
Weight : 4 kg

At the top of the Volcano, there is a lava pool. If you have an Inferno Adze, a Smoking Pickaxe, a Sharpened Harpoon and 92 Smithing. You can forge them together to obtain the Tools of Hells, which is the Inferno Adze, the Sharpened Harpoon and the Smoking Pickaxe combined in one item ! To forge them, you will also need the Quartz Hammer, obtainable only by defeating Dolorirae as it is untradeable.

The Tools of Hells are untradeable and cannot be disassembled after you made it. So, beware of your choice !

If you have 77 agility and done TzTok-Ket-Dill :
TzHaar-Mej-Hul : Hi JalYt *player name* ! May I ask you a little of your time ?

Option 1 : Sure, what do you need ?
Option 2 : No thank you, I have things to do !

Option 1 :
TzHaar-Mej-Hul : Well, JalYt *player name*, us TzHaars have been digging in search of new obsidian rocks to craft our homes. While mining in the tunnel you see behind me, we stumbled upon a scorched, fiery land. TzHaar-Hur said a tribe of JalYt like you were there. We TzHaars don’t want any interaction with the outside world, especially JalYt. Can you see if these JalYt aren’t dangerous to us ? I will give you access to the tunnel behind me.
You : Sure, I’ll do it !

Option 2 : The conversation ends here.

At the exit of the tunnel, you see you arrive right by the Volcano of Hatred ! Talk to Helios. He will have another dialogue option avaiable :

If you do not have defeated Dolorirae yet :
Option 4 : Do you know anything about the TzHaar ?
Helios : Why shall I answer your questions ? I’m not even sure you are worthy of an answer !

If you have defeated Dolorirae at least one time :
Option 4 : Helios, do you know anything about the TzHaar ?
Helios : Yes I do ! We have read books about them. They seems to be quite strange folks, to be honest.
You : Well, it seems they just digged a tunnel up to this very volcano !
Helios : Really ? That could be a very good opportunity ... *player name*, do you know anything about TzHaar related incantations ?

Option 1 : No, tell me more !
Option 2 : No, sounds boring

Option 1 :
Helios : The TzHaar sages have develloped very interesting spells that our tribe would be happy to master ... if we could just learn it. If the TzHaar oppened a passage up to here, that may be a good occasion to learn it. Could you please ask them to send an emissary here ? In exchange, I will grant them access to some obsidian mines that can be found underground around this volcano.
You : Very well, I’ll give them the message.

Option 2 : The conversation ends here.

You go back to TzHaar-Mej-Hul.

You : Good news, the humans settled there aren’t dangerous at all. I know them. They even offered you access to some obsidian mines under their volcano, but only if you learn them some of your own spells.
TzHaar-Mej-Hul : That certainly sounds interesting. Very well, I accept. Thanks to you JalYt *player name*, we now have a brand new obsidian mine ! As a token of my gratitude, you will be able to use this tunnel between this volcano and our city. Now, I think you should go back to those JalYt, maybe they’ll reward you too.

When you head back to Helios :

You : They accepted the offer and will teach you some of their spells !
Helios : Great ! We will send them some of our tribe to direct them to the mines. Thank you *player name*. The sages have accepted to give you a greater reward after you kill Dolorirae. You will recieve 5000 more coins when you defeat Dolorirae. Again, thank you !

- Rewards -

- A new way to go to the Volcano of Hatred without the need to enter the Wilderness !
- You will recieve 15K coins when you defeat Dolorirae, 5K more coins than usual.

8. Lava Strykewyrms [STRK]



Lava Strykewyrms are a new slayer monster introduced with the volcano. They reside in magma pools around it. That means that they are in the Wilderness.

Because they attack in magma pools, you can only hurt them with either magic or ranged. You need 97 slayer to kill them. As with all strykewyrms, they can only be fought if you have them as a task. They are assigned by Kuradal.

Finally, to be able to hurt them, you either have to wear Ice Gloves, Ice Arrows or to use Water or Ice spells (Which they are weak to).

Lava Strykewyrm

Note : Lava Strykewyrms also possess two special attacks. The first special attack is the already existing digging special attack where the strykewyrm burrows and then attack to deal 30 damage. His second special attack is a powerup of its ranged attack. It adds 10-100 damage to it and makes you unable to attack the strykewyrm for 5 seconds.

Drops :

Droplist is being thought of. You can help by making a suggestion about it.

- Combustion Quiver
- Clue Scroll Level 3

Combustion Quiver (80 Ranged and 50 Magic required)
Examine : Burning with power.
Low Alchemy value : 40,000 coins
High Alchemy value : 56,500 coins
Weight : 0,5 kg

This special quiver is wore in the quiver spot (Duh !). It can hold as many arrows or bolts as you like, but only one type. This makes ammo switching a lot harder.

However, what makes this quiver special is that whenever you fight while using the arrows or bolts in the quiver, they set on fire. You will then deal an additionnal, separated 10 to 60 damage. However, for this to take effect, you need a fire rune (1 fire rune = 1 « fired » shot). You have a higher chance of dealing higher damage on your separated, fire attack if you have a higher magic level.

There is also a « special attack ». In fact, you always have a 3% chance to use this special, which renders your opponent unable to attack you for 5 seconds. However, it requires 30 fire runes.

Finally, there’s some exceptions. The Quiver doesn’t work with :

- The Crystal Bow
- Any shots from special attacks, such as Zanik’s Crossbow’s Defiance.

The Quiver only works with bows and crossbows.

9. Conclusion [CNCL]



Thank you very much for reading my thread. I hope you liked the idea and want it to be implemented in-game. If someone has some time, if would be nice to do 3d images of the rewards items, the monsters or just a support sig. Ya know, I'm not that good with graphics ^^'

This is an amazing suggestion, I truely love it. I like the two teams, but sometimes I think they should work side by side. It would add a more dangerous feeling if the Skillers lives directly depended on the Brawlers right next to them killing the monsters. I like the Magma Set, and to add to it I think every spell that requires a fire rune now requires one less. For example, if a spell needed 3 fire runes, you can cast it with two. This ability would be lost after 1000 casts, and then you would have to recharge it outside the Volcano.

For the Shield of Pain, is the special effect like a a special attack, or is it a continued bonues? If the former, it is too weak. If the ladder, then it is very balanced.

Great suggestion overall!

Firstly, I think that I'll change the way that some monsters will attack, so that they will attack the skillers. This will probably put more danger in the dungeon ^^

This suggestion is plain amazing.

I think this'd be the first minigame I'd camp all the time.

I'm not sure about the idea of losing your gear, but then again, it IS in the wilderness...

So, about the boss-

Does everyone receive the same drop? Does only one person get the drop? Or does everyone get a random item off it's drop list?

The rings don't really seem THAT powerful, considering how most PvP fights I've seen don't carry on for more than 50 rounds these days, making a drain of 10, or lowering max damage by two- Looking at how rare these rings will be, lowering your opponent's max damage by an average of one just doesn't seem THAT amazing.

I'm loving the mage armour, though. Keep that in at all costs.

Mm... Yeah, I'd say either-

Keep it the way it is, and make the requirements 70.

OR

Make two versions of the ring- A minor and major version. The minor version needs 60 in stats, but it's only -1/5. The major needs 70 in stats, but it's -1/3.

When you compare it to another boss monsters, not at all !

I took Dolorirae's stats from Kree'arra (Only 5 level higher).

Kree has a max hit of 71 with his range attack that knocks back, and we don't mention you need to go into a very dangerous area to actually get to the boss, and need to kill 40 armadylians. She's also protected by 3 high level monsters.

Commander Zilyana is level 596 and has a magic attack that hits everyone in the room with a max hit of 31. Like Kree, she is in a very dangerous dungeon, you need to kill 40 sradominians and she's protected by 3 high level monsters. Yet, a team of 4-5 people can kill her.

So a team of 10 brawler will have no REALLY hard time to beat Dolorirae.

It's true that it could have some skilling drops, as now the only skilling drops there is is some herblore ingredients. I also *may* add a new skilling related item. Thanks for the idea tough !

Heh, new skilling related item- Dragon Pickaxe? :P

But yeah, as it stands, this game uses tons of skills, so you either want a reward that can be used by everyone (exp lamps?) or quite a few skilling rewards.

:-O ......................................Very nice suggestion! I can tell you took alot of time to develop and post this. Good job, you have a very creative mind and if this does come into existence in RuneScape, I will probably camp at this minigame for days on end. Awesome idea! :lol:

I think it is good you added skill rewards, but the two new items need a bit of change. First, the pickaxe. Needing to have coal in your inventory would not really help with most people. If I am mining some iron, I would have to bring 14 coal rocks to maximize my smelting ability. That would only allow 14 iron ores in my inventory. I would be better off mining loads of iron and then coal, smelting them normally.

I think it would be better if, when using the pickaxe, you would smelt the ores, but it would only last for 100 bars that you make. After that, it would need a 24-hour cooldown period as well as recharging in the mining guild for 100 g.p.

As for the harpoon, I don't think it should be able to cook every fish, even with a chance to burn it. It would make cooking an even easier skill to train, because now it would level while fishing. Instead, a +5 or +10 experience to every fish for 5,000 fish would be better, imo.

Either that, or a 25% speed increase when fishing.
