Split pking video into

Higher levels Pk Video
-Hybrid (Melee+Mage+ and Range)
-Tank (Range+Melee)
-Melee fighting
-Luring
-1 iteming

Pures
-Hybrid (Melee+Mage+ and Range)
-Tank (Range+Melee)
-Melee fighting
-Luring



I hate looking through videos and opening links to find out its a video I dont want to watch


I rather it was split down so i could find all the hybrid videos in one place.


Some videos do contain more than one attack style so it would be based on the most common in the video.

I do agree with this since I hate watching Pure videos and hate scrolling down the list to find a different video than Pures... Would be a good update to the Boards.

It will not happen. The activity in PK Videos is not high enough, and there are topic descriptions/stat-look-ups already. We wont need to separate it into different subforums, the information is already out there in the topics. The confusion would also be rather annoying to deal with.

Pk Awards Summer/Winter. *With changes*


So as RSC doesn't do Pk Awards anymore because of "Mass Voting" by Clans and what not why not change the Rules a bit on Voting?

1) Take a Members List for instants, say there is 50 members on the list and they all vote for the same person with the same layout for voting, make it so only 10-15 people from that clan can vote for that person, this makes "Mass Spam Voting" impossable to do.

2) Make the Thread to have a Post Count or Joining Date limit on it, so people can't make accounts or post on it without say 100 Post Count or Post if they joined only 2 Months ago.

3) Make sure the person in-voting has posted Pk Videos or Gallerys on RSC, so they have to be active on RSC to be voted on the Awards. I.E "Jim Bob" posted a Pk Video on RSC so he can be voted for also he has posted Pk Pic's on RSC. But "Jimmy Lonely" hasn't posted a Pk Video but has posted a Pk Pic once in a Blue Moon and gets "Mass Voted" for by his Clan, his votes doesn't count.

I enjoyed the Pk Awards on RSC, made alot of activeness on Pk section of RSC and made alot of fun between Clans and Pk Teams, something to show-off when you Win, not because of "Mass Voting" but because of the Skill you have and people enjoy your videos/pk's.

I really hope you re-think and put back Pk Awards.

No people without a Pk Gallery or video on RSC wouldn't be allowed to be voted for.

Not really fair. If people genuinely believe someone from their clan is the best, what's to stop them from voting for them?

If we implemented that it would have both pro's and con's- still not ideal.

We already had a join date requirement. Having a post requirement would limit some genuine people from their voting rights. Some people are more lurkers than posters. Posts don't really mean anything anyway in this scenario. Whereas join date does.

We usually got all the stuff like that anyway. It wasn't so much that either- it was the people who stood a good chance of wining something anyway still got mass voted for by their clans just to get one up on rival clans. It changed the spirit the awards were supposed be taken in, it made it something it was not. Alot of people saw it as an easy ticket for some cheap recognition.

It was originally like that for most people. However over time they lost their significance and the people who won didn't really gain the respect that say... The people in '07 did for winning.

Thanks for the suggestion but alot of the moderators believe the awards overstayed their welcome.

by far this sections is my favourite but it seems to have the most flame, so maybe you could have a section where pkers flame other pkers, but not take it to far . e.g. gang banging some lvl 40

We will never encourage flaming, therefore giving people a dedicated forum in which they can do so is out of the question . We like discussion yes, we are very lenient yes but downright flaming and/or 'stupidity' is something that needs to be avoided and I'm sure most others would agree.

Remember you can always report such 'flames'/etc and it'll be cleaned up as quick as possible, we have a pretty active Pk staff.

Dump the "What Is Your Biggest Loot Pile So Far In Pvp?" sticky, currently with the new BH most of the kills can easely go out of the screen which is the maximum loot pile and that pretty much makes the topic useless.

Hmm I like how the "Pk Video Of The Month" has worked out, but it only misses one thing... the community users.



I think it should go like this;

• Users of RSC vote like the old Pk Awards.
  
• Votes are counted.
  
• After they are counted it's cut down to the most voted 3.
  
• Then the big guys in Red/Purple watch the videos and judge for the best.

This seems to me that it will bring more activeness to the Pk Videos section because of the users will watch the videos to find what ones are the best, it will make the users have a say not just the Mods and it isn't effected by mass voting/spam for votes.

I don't know where your coming from saying it won't be effected by mass voting. If you freely allow the users to vote for who they like best- mass voting is enabled.

Moderators choosing from the final three that have been voted for the most doesn't change the fact that the final 3 eventually will most likely be there as a product of mass voting.

Not really. Just my personal view. Feel free to take it up with as many other moderators as your heart desires if you think you idea should be taken on.

I'm just saying, what's the point in having a competition that's most probably going to have a predetermined ending with someone from a big clan winning? It'd be like at the beginning of a football season knowing that one team will win everything time and time again. It'd get boring, unexciting, repetitive and in time just straight up not worth it.
