Knowing what to Merchant
Written by Andrieux

REQUIREMENTS
  • Access to the Grand Exchange
  • Common Sense
  • Patience

ITEMS NEEDED
  • Enough GP to have some sit in the Grand Exchange while you do normal RS activities.

PROCESS

Introduction.
Making money by merchanting is extremely easy with the Grand Exchange. The only two things you need to know are (1) how popular an item is and (2) how the item is bought. While this method will trigger one of two reactions, the first being "I already know this" and the second being "Why didn't I think of this?", this method is guaranteed to make you money.

Basically, you're taking items that people don't think twice about buying at max price, and merchenting them. (Buy an item at the lowest price, and sell at the highest. Read this whole post to understand how to do it.)

Before we can merchant...
Think about items that you constantly buy. These items include arrows, bolts, runes, food, and F2P weapons. These are the type of items that you are going to be "flipping". Flipping, or short term merchenting, is the easiest way to merchent. All it requires is 5-10 minutes each day at the Grand Exchange. Once you get the hang of it, though, it will become much easier. To flip an item, you just buy it, and put it right back into the Grand Exchange, and then go about your business. Because the Grand Exchange requires a certain wait time on when an item can sell after it is bought, you can just go and play RuneScape as you normally would, then log in the next day (or a few hours later) and take your cash, and re-invest it, wait a day, and repeat.

Finding the Right Item
Now, I'm not going to reveal every aspect of this method of making money, but I am going to try to throw you onto the right track. Ideally, you are looking for items with a margin of only a few GP between the lowest and highest available buying price. These items, as I mentioned before, include arrows, bolts, runes, food, and F2P weapons. Notice that I said include; that means that there are many other items you can do this with. So, you're looking for items that are (1) close in the range of lowest and highest available buying prices, (2) bought in bulk, and (3) items that are bought at the highest level so that the consumer can get the item quicker.

Making the Money
Once you have an item in mind, you are going to need to test it. This means buying 100 or so of the item at either low or medium price. I'd suggest not messing around with a few GP over or under low or medium; just click the button to set it to lowest or medium price. This is because the person you are buying the item from is most likely to sell the item by clicking one of those buttons on the GE interface.

Once you have the item, just withdraw it from the GE and stick in right back in, at the highest price. Wait a while untill it can sell, then go back and take you're easy earned cash out of the GE, buy the same amount or more of an item (I liked to buy the same amount as I had before, so I could see my profit. It seems silly, but it always but a smile in my mind. Of course, if you want to buy as many as you can with the money you took out of the Grand Exchange, feel free.)

MONEYMAKING FACTS

Factors to Consider

Almost all of these have been mentioned above, but I'll run through them.
  • Amount you can buy without spending all the money in your bank,
  • How people buy them-do they need the item quickley and hit "Max Price" when purchasing? Think about what you do.
  • How popular is this item?

As I close, an example...

I'm buying Death Runes at 249 ea. [low price] and selling at 262 ea. [medium price. I'll also sell at the high price, which I recommend, of 275 ea.].

I have 500,000 GP in my bank, and I want to make a little extra cashflow whilst training slayer. I spend 249,000 GP on 1k death runes, at minimum price. They are all purchased within 5 minutes, while I'm find the gear in my bank-because I refused to conform and use bank tabs. By the time I have my gear for slaying, ally the death runes are bought. I put them right back in GE, at....[follow the ellipses for the two different endings]

...the medium price, because I'm afraid they won't sell quickly at the high price. I go and finish my slayer task, and log off for the night. When I wake up in the morning, I head to GE, and check the death runes. The bar is filled with green, and I find 262,000 GP waiting for me. I made 13,000 GP with less than 10 clicks of the mouse.

...the high price, because I'm ok with waiting a little bit to make more profit. I go and finish my slayer task, and log off for the night. When I wake up in the morning, I head to GE, and check the death runes. The bar is filled with green, and I find 275,000 GP waiting for me. I made 26,000 GP with less than 10 clicks of the mouse.

Now, for those of you thinking "Wow, only 13,000 [or 26,000] GP made. That's not that great." realize that I only put in 249,000 GP. If I had put in 1,000,000 (Well, 996,000, actually), I would have made 52,000 [or 112,000] GP. That's a 5-10% profit based on whether you resell at medium or high. Remember, I suggest reselling at the high price. Either way you're guarenteed profit, but it might take only a small bit longer to resell. Because of the wait period on reselling items, I suggest you just do this before you log out at night, or right when you log in so they can sell while you sleep or while you're out 'Scaping.

The End

The above example shows that this method can be done while you are doing another activity. You don't have to work at all, after clicking an item and an amount. Also, the above example, buying at low and selling at high, makes 26,000 profit to the 249,000 GP I put in. I'm not losing anything but 5 minutes or less of my time. Remember, the more you buy, the quicker you make money.

"Softing Clay the Easy Way"
Written by Engimatic_Soul_4

REQUIREMENTS
  • Not one requirement : )

ITEMS NEEDED
  • Any amount of buckets
  • Any amount of clay

PROCESS
If you do not have very much money, then you might want to mine your clay for extra profit, however if you do have money the trade goes through very easily in the Grand Exchange (about 90-110 per clay). Buckets can easily be bought in a general store, although you can buy them in the Grand Exchange as well. Once you have an amount of clay and buckets equal to each other, then head on over to the Edgeville bank.

Once you are there, go to the banker that is the furthest south. Look North-West. You should see a well just above the bank wall, depending on your camera's angle. Withdraw a full load of buckets from your bank while facing this way. Once you close the bank window, click on one of the buckets then click on the well. While your character is headed to the well to fill your buckets, turn your camera completely around so that you can see the banker through the bank window. Right click on him, and hover your mouse over the "use bank quickly" option. When your last bucket is filled, click, and while your character is moving to the bank, turn your camera around again so that you can see the well. Repeat until all of your buckets are full of water.

Withdraw (using the withdraw x option) 14 buckets of water from your bank. Do the same for 14 clay. Use a bucket of water on a clay, and when the picture comes up in you dialoque box, right-click and click make all. From now on your right-click menue in the bank should have a "withdraw 14" option. Repeat until all your clay is soft, then sell at Grand Exchange.

MONEYMAKING FACTS
Using this method, you can easily earn from about 160gp per soft clay (if you mined it yourself) to about 50gp per soft clay (if you bought the clay) in profit. For example, if you bought 1,000 clay and had 1,00 buckets, then in 2-3 hours (give or take) you could have a profit of around 50k, but if you mined your own clay, you would make around 160k. This is very good for new players who mine their own clay.

Wood is Good!
Written by Nateisonfire

REQUIREMENTS
  • Members
  • Patience
  • A decent Agility level helps

ITEMS NEEDED

PROCESS
To start off, head over the the Grand Exchange and buy yourself around 1,000 oak logs. Note: I recommend you buy around 500 oak logs to start off, just to try this method first. It gets quite boring, very fast. Yet it is great for a new player to make money! (Or a player with low skills)
After you have obtained your logs, bank them and head over to the Varrock east bank. From here, equip your light clothing and have around 100k-250k on you. Also, if you would like to speed things up, bring a Super energy restore potion with you. With all this, your inventory should look like this:
Posted Image
*Hat optional

From the bank, head north to the Sawmill Operator. Here is a mapped route to help you locate him:
Posted Image

Once there, let him cut all your logs for you and it will cost 250gp per log, so if your inventory looks like mine, it will cost 6,500gp per run to get him to cut the logs for you.
Run back to the bank and repeat until you run out of logs. Once that happens, run back to the Grand Exchange and sell all your oak planks at market price, which right now is at 423gp, or higher if people are buying.

MONEYMAKING FACTS
Using this method, you can make over 500k per hour. It takes me around 75 seconds, so that's 48 trips an hour (running). You make 10,998gp per trip if you sell the planks for 423gp each. That totals up to 527,904gp an hour.
This is a fairly decent way to make money, it requires no skill too. Enjoy!

Moneymaking through Fishing Monkfish
Written by Maxman [Maxman0023]

REQUIREMENTS
  • Completion of Swan Song quest
  • 62+ Fishing
  • Small time on your hands

ITEMS NEEDED
  • Small fishing net

PROCESS
This method is quite simple: You fish Monkfish! Now, why Monkfish? Simple, again. Because they are fast and expensive fish!

Preferably, you'll have to travel to Piscatoris, where you're going to have completed Swan Song quest. To fish the Monkfish, you'll have to have 62+ Fishing (not hard to get). Lobsters and Sharks are more common, but some people don't know the advantage of Monkfish. Monkfish are as fast a Lobsters and cost a lot more than lobsters. If you do the math, you can achieve more gold than fishing Lobsters. It's quite a genius moneymaking fact, and I'd like to sure it with you. :-)

I've achieved over 4-5mil by just doing this method. It's fast, easy, and not as time consuming than other skills.

MONEYMAKING FACTS
You can fish an inventory of Monkfish about every 2-3 minutes (considering your level of Fishing, as it varies). If you do so, you can fish about 500-650 Monkfish an hour. Considering raw Monkfish currently cost about 400gp, that's about 230-250k per hour! In about 3-4 hours, you can even past 1mil!

Again, it's a simple and easy process of Fishing to get bunches of money. So, what are you waiting for? Go fish those Monkfish!

Ranging blue dragons
Written by Maxsje

REQUIREMENTS
  • In order to range them effectively, 61+ range is a must.

  • Completion of the Watch Tower Quest in order to kill them in the Gu'Tanoth Dungeon (which I advise). Other worthwhile location is the Heroes Guild, but is often crowded and only contains blue dragon (also requires completion of the Heroes Quest

ITEMS NEEDED
Ranked from best to worst for range bonus
  • Helm: Armadyl Helmet/ Third age range coif / Robin Hood Hat / Blessed dragonhide Coif / Ranger Hat / Archer Helm/ Spined Helm/ Snakeskin Bandana / Karil's Coif.
  • Chest: Armadyl chestplate / Third age range top / Black Dragonhide Body or God Armour Body (zamorak, saradomin, guthix) / Karil's leather top / Red Dragonhide Body / Blue Dragonhide Body / Green Dragonhide Body or Spined Body / Snakeskin Body
  • Legs: Armadyl platelegs / Third age range legs / Black Dragonhide Chaps / Karil's leather skirt / Penance Skirt / Red dragonhide chaps / Blue Dragonhide chaps / Green dragonhide chaps or Spined Chaps / Snakeskin Chaps
  • Amulet: Amulet of fury / Amulet of Glory / Amulet of accuracy
  • Shield: Dragonfire shield / Anti-fire shield if using crossbow.
  • Ring: Seers ring / Ring of wealth / Ring of life
  • Weapon: Dark Bow / Runite Crossbow / Karils crossbow (+ racks) / Crystal Bow
  • Ammo: Bolts (sapphire+ advised) / Racks / Arrows (steel+)
  • Inventory: Scrolls for a familiar, some food, anti-fire potions if you are ranging with a bow.

PROCESS
Ranging the Blue Dragons is extremely effective in the Yanille Dungeon, and provide a lot of money if you pick up the valuable items, such as their bones and dragonhide. Banking at the Yanille bank as soon as your inventory is full is needed. For extra inventory space, use a familiar - Spirit terrorbird is a great and cheap option. Use the special scrolls to restore energy for faster banking. Collect all the bones and dragonhides and bank these. Sell them whenever you feel like.
Killing them:
  • (Option 1: Melee them with a dragon halberd (high combat required) or simply melee them (110+ combat advised))
  • Option 2: Range them with a crossbow and bolts, anti-fire shield can be equipped (safest option)
  • Option 3: Any bow with arrows if necessary, ranging them from a safe spot.

MONEYMAKING FACTS
How much money will you earn? That depends on your ranged level. There is a way to get the exact amount of money you will earn.
  • Step 1: Check how many dragons you can kill per minute. This can be tricky though. Kill 5 and see how long you needed. Then calculate until you have a certain amount per minute.
  • Step 2: Check the price of blue dragonhide and dragon bones.
  • Step 3: Calculate how much time you need to bank in Yanille. Also calculate how often you need to bank per hour.
  • Step 4: Calculation
    1) [60 minutes] - [ [how often to bank per hour] * [ time needed to bank in minutes] = X
    2) X * [[how many dragons per minute] * [(price dragonbone) + (price blue dragonhide)]] = Y
Your answer should be in between 200k- 400k per hour.

Farming Kwuarms
Written by Sumilidon12

REQUIREMENTS
  • Level 56 Farming
  • Completion of the My Arm's Big Adventure quest is strongly recommended as this will give access to a disease-free herb patch.

ITEMS NEEDED
  • Kwuarm Seeds
  • Law Runes
  • Elemental Runes (air/fire/water/earth), can be substituted by staffs
  • Ectophial
  • Super Compost
  • Energy Enhancing Items (Boots of Lightness, Spotted/Spottier Cape)
  • Farming Equipment (rake/seed dibber/spade)
  • Magic Secateurs (highly recommended, require completion of Fairytale Part I)

PROCESS
For this moneymaking trick you can start anywhere with the items listed above. Firstly, teleport with your ectophial to Port Phasmatys. Run West past the farm until you reach the farming patches. Rake your herb patch or harvest any previous grown herbs. Then threat you patch with compost, preferrably super compost. Lastly, use your seeds on the path to plant them. Herbs won't need any watering nor can you let the local farmer look after them. Next, teleport to Camelot and run east until you reach the farming patch. Repeat the steps listed above and continue on by teleporting to Ardougne. Plant your seeds again and make your way to the patch south of Falador. The easiest way to do this is by teleporting to Draynor Village with your amulet of glory and running north-west.

If you have completed the My Arm's Big Adventure quest you will also have acces to a fifth herb patch located at the roof of the Troll Stronghold. To get there easily, it is recommended that you have finished Edgar's Ruse. This quest will unlock the Trollheim teleport. Then run to the Stronghold and south of the Troll Generals there is a ladder. Climb this one and you'll and up on the roof. Plant your seeds again and you're done!

Herbs usually take anywhere between 60 and 90 minutes to grow. I recommend to harvest your herbs every 2 hours if you plan on growing more than 1 round a day.

MONEYMAKING FACTS
Using all 5 patches and the Magic Secateurs and doing 3 farming trips a day, you will be able to grew upto 80 kwuarms a day! Seeing as they are around 3,000 gp each you might get 240,000 gp! The seeds are relatively cheap too so you should be able to get 200k profit a day! That's a nice bonus in my opinion considering the little amount of time spend!

Collecting Stuff in F2P
Written by 2hg0d

REQUIREMENTS
  • Common sense.
  • Ability to avoid aggressive monsters (if you have low defence).

ITEMS NEEDED
  • None, maybe some food if you want to but it will decrease your gp/hour and I can do it on a level 3 without food.

PROCESS
Find an item in the Wilderness (because thats where all the best f2p respawns are) that has a 400+ market value or you are just wasting time. Such items include steel bars in the ruins west of the bandit camp for lower levels, and steel plate bodies or earth staffs in the lava maze for higher levels. There are plenty more but I can't give them all away.

Once you have decided which item you will be collecting, go to it and pick it up. Then change worlds and pick it up again. Do this until you have a full inventory. Once your inventory is full bank at bounty hunter or edgeville (whichever is closer).

MONEYMAKING FACTS
Because of the 30 second delay when switching worlds, you can only get about 2 of your item per minute.

Here's an example: Steel Bars

Steel bars are about 600 gp I think. So here's the math.

2 steel bars per minute x 60 minutes = 72k/hour

But you have to factor in the time it will take you to bank so in reality you will only be making 40k an hour on average maybe 50k if you click really fast or have high agility.

Here's another example: Earth Staffs

They are around 1k each so for the sake of simplicity we will use 1k.

2 earths staffs per minute (2k) x 60 minutes = 120k an hour

however, earth staffs are hella far from any bank so you will probably only make like 60k an hour.

Slicing Pineapples--Easy money making in P2P
Written by Zappy514

REQUIREMENTS
  • 80-90k

  • Membership

  • Access to the Grand Exchange

ITEMS NEEDED
  • A knife

PROCESS
This is fairly simple and can earn you quite a bit of money if you need some easy, quick cash. I must warn that this is VERY boring. First buy 1k or more pineapples in the GE. Withdraw the knife and 6 pineapples from the bank and slice them into rings. You will get 4 rings per pineapple. I recommend you do this at a one-click bank like castle wars for maximum speed. One of the downsides of this method is you must be paying constant attention to the game. However, this provides easy money for players who don't have high skill levels. Sorry I don't have pictures, I don't have access to Runescape right now.
MONEYMAKING FACTS
Pineapples cost 80-90gp each, and the rings sell for 50-65 each. Since you get 4 rings per pineapple, you are actually getting 200-260gp. You will usually get around 150gp profit per pineapple sliced. If you do this method quickly, after some practice, you can slice around 1k pineapples per hour, which is around 150k per hour. The profit will depend on price fluctuations. Overall, it is a good money-making method for players who need some quick money but don't have the time to train skills.

WARNING:This method no longer works, as pineapple rings have crashed, but pineapples are still fairly high.

Tanning Hides
Written by Slamajama

REQUIREMENTS

ITEMS NEEDED

PROCESS
With this method, you will need to buy untanned dragonhides! Black or green are recommended as they are in stock most often, however you can do whichever hides you please! All will work well (but red). Buy as many as you wish, approximately 1k should do until you have more money at your disposal.
After these hides have been bought, withdraw 1.7k gp and teleport to Camelot. Run south to the charter ships at Catherby and request a ride to Oo'glog. This will cost you 1.7k!
Posted Image

You will run to the pool after this for a rather relaxing soak in the waters! You will want to run to the third pool (middle pool) that is a light blue shade and jump in. Jump on out and make your way to Al Karhid (glory teleport is fastest).
Posted Image

Posted Image

Once at Al Karhid, go to your bank and withdraw approximately 100k and then 27 hides. Since you have used the pools, you have infinite run energy and it won't matter what you wear. However if you have not used the pools, its best to wear a spottier cape and boots of lightness, nothing else (Jewelry exempt). You will then run to the tanner and trade him. Select whichever hide you are tanning and click "Tan All." This will cost 20gp per hide. Run back to the bank and repeat!
Posted Image

Posted Image

Keep tanning and banking until you are out of run energy! In my previous experiences the run energy lasts about 20 minutes, give or take 5 minutes (its random). I tan about 1.2k hides in this time! If you wish, once done tanning you can teleport back to Camelot and repeat this process till you are out of hides. Once done go to the Grand Exchange again and sell your tanned hides and buy more untanned hides!

Do note there are other methods as well to infinite energy. For these having a high agility level is very beneficial! One would be instead of using the pools, is to use Super Energy Potions. These sell in the Grand Exchange 500gp a pop, which can get a little expensive but will definitely pay for itself in the tanned hides! Another option if you have 52 summoning is to use the Spirit Terrorbird. Using the Tireless Run scrolls you can keep infinite energy till your familiar disappears. Both these methods will cost more than the Oo'glog method and will not allow you to carry 27 hides per trip due to inventory space for potions and scrolls.

This is also doable for F2P! However you will not have anything assisting you energy wise, so it will be much slower, and thus less tanned per hour. Do the same tanning location as above using cowhides, and make leather or hard leather depending on current market prices. (Hard leather and leather sell for about the same price). Remember its 1gp per hide for leather and 3gp per hide for hard leather.

MONEYMAKING FACTS
This method can earn you significant cash earns per day. In about an hour I could tan close to 2k hides easily (So note this number will be greater WITH infinite run). This will earn you anywhere between # and # profit depending on what hides you are using, as the profit per hide is different depending on which ones you use.

At current middle market prices (January 2008) the profit for hides would be (assuming everything is middle price. There is potential to make more or less than is listed).
Green - 140gp per hide = 280k/hour
Blue - 154gp per hide = 308k/hour
Red - 18gp per hide = 36k/hour
Black - 162gp per hide = 324k/hour
Cowhides - 50gp per hide = ?/hour*

*I have not tested this in F2P with run energy limitations

I hope this method helps you on your pursuit to higher cash! If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or see anything wrong with this guide please drop me a PM! Thanks!

Dragon Impling Hunting Guide.
Written by Rhinotillex.

"The Island of Implings!"

REQUIREMENTS
  • Cabin Fever quest
  • 83 Hunter (80 with hunter potion)
  • Paitence
  • Members

ITEMS NEEDED
Musts
  • Butterfly net (Can buy off the grand exchange) or Magic butterfly net (Obtained in puro puro minigame in zanaris)
  • Impling jars (Can buy off the grand exchange)

Optional
  • Super energies or Terrorbird scrolls (You do a lot of running)
  • Bind/tangle or snare runes, (Water, Earth and Natures), to hold impling in place.
  • Magic boosting armour so above spells do not splash.
  • Imp jar generator (Obtained in puro puro minigame in zanaris)

PROCESS

Posted Image

Scout the red shaded area as shown, and catch and magpie/ninja/dragon implings you come across. For added safety so they do not fly over water you may want to use the bind/tangle/snare spells to hold them 5/10/15 seconds respectively. After you have scouted the current world, hop and repeat.

MONEYMAKING FACTS

My record in an hour was 8M, catching 15 Dragon implings when they were 500k+
The downside is that you may not see another for the rest of the day, although it definately beats puro puro, when i was here i saw more dragon implings than other players!

So why am i giving you the method?
1) They are now 329.6k 18/1/2009, although it is still one of the best potential money makers.
2) I have a more consistent money making method in mining rune ore, plus going for 91 runecrafting...

I hope this guide helps you achieve all your monetary aims and by all means PM me if there are any additional questions.

Impling Hunting in Puro Puro
Written by ZxC

REQUIREMENTS
  • 83 hunter (or 80+ hunter pots)

  • Lost City quest

ITEMS NEEDED
  • Butterfly net OR Magic butterfly net OR sacred clay net from SC (for double xp)

  • Impling Jars (possibly jar generator too)

  • Runes for entangle

PROCESS
Well the process is quite simple. You go into lost city to the middle of the wheat field, and you enter the crop circle. You will find yourself in a maze with lots of implings flying around.
Here's what you should do.

First of all, I'd like to mention that's it's a good idea to switch worlds every now and then, especially when there's no good impling left to catch. It's also better to use more crowded worlds as the spawn rate is faster.
Save your run energy for when you're trying to catch something, else just use walking for scouting. Weight reducing gear is great.

For the implings:
Eclectic > catch if it's in your way
Nature > same
Magpie > always catch, always open the jar
Ninja > always catch but opening the jar is up to you since you might get less than the price of the impling in ge. But you might get more too
Pirate > need rocking out quest, not worth. Gives pirate clothing mostly
Dragon > always catch, never open. Always sell in ge.

MONEYMAKING FACTS
The money varies greatly depending on your luck, but I'd say the bare minimum for 1 hour is 200k, and the maximum around 1m. 500k/h is probably a good estimate. Here's what I've got in 1 hour.

Green Dragons 250-420k Per Hour
Written by G U I T A R

This is the gear I use to kill green's.

Posted Image

There's 2 different method's I would use to kill green dragon's, I have used both these methods when killing.

Method 1.)
You can either do the chaos tunnel ones, there's not to many people there cause people don't think about it. You just use the cave that's infront of ge.
I would advise you to bring a terrorbird and some run scroll's because you will be running back and forth, unless you want to use a glory teleport to edge and then run back.
OR you can teleport to your house and use your mounted glory, saves yours glorys.
A plus to teleporting to your house is you can recharge your prayer if you build an alter. So you can piety or protect melee while killing the dragons.

Posted Image

Method 2.)
Just take your regular gear, and make sure you have a ring of dueling, your on ancients magicks and bring a terrorbird or war tortoise.
Teleport to Dareeyak and walk just a little bit south and kill the dragons, fill up your familiar first then your inventory and teleport to castle wars to bank. Then do it over again.

Mining Pure Essence

I experimented with pure essence about 2 weeks ago and I was pretty surprised how fast they are if you mine them in yanille at the magic guild.

Requirements:
- 30 Mining
- 66 Magic (to get into guild)

Make sure you bring all the essence pouches you can, so when your inventory is full click on the pouches and you can pretty much get 2 loads of essence per trip.
Don't forget the essence carrying familiars! (Abbysal parasite 54 summoning and Abbysal lurker 62 summoning).

Posted Image

When you get into the guild right click Wizard distentor and teleport!

Posted Image

In conclusion I made 200k+ an hour with the pure essence, it's not bad money, you make even more if you craft them.

Extra Tip If you have 93 summoning you can use the Abyssal titan! He holds 7 ess himself and when your use his special it sends all the essence in your inventory and familiar to your bank, so your dont have to move at all!

Money Making From Iron Smelting
Written by Roy Mustang

REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be a Member

ITEMS NEEDED
  • Iron Ore (any amount will do)
  • Ring of Forging (engough to cover the amount of Iron Ore. Remember Rings of Forging hold enough charge to cover 140 iron ores)
  • Optional: Varrack Armour (Obtain from Varrock Achievement Dairies)

PROCESS

The process is very simple. After purchasing your iron ore and rings of forging you can head to anyone of these locations:

Once you are in there towns, go to the bank. Equip your ring of Forging and go the the smelt. Once at the smelt your iron ore. Due to the ring of forging all your iron ore will turn into iron bars. In Falador, the closest bank is the east bank. Also, if you are using the Edgeville smelt, just remember that the Armour allows you to make two iron bars at once, this means only one charge from your Ring of Forging will be used. So you will need to be careful when smelting because the Ring of Forging won't be destroyed after five trips.

MONEYMAKING FACTS

Now the whole idea of buying Rings of Forging and iron ore might sound little bit expensive, but really it isn't. First off here is the generally prices of all items need for this money making process:

Iron Ore: 90gp - 110gp
Rings of Forging: 990gp - 1200gp (Since the Ring of Forging Covers 140 Iron Ore the cost per bar is 8gp to 9gp.)
Iron Bars: 200gp - 250gp

Note these prices are a rough estimate of where the normal prices are.

As you can see the total cost of making an iron bar is about 120gp (at max cost). This gives you a nice profit from anywhere between 80gp to 130gp. In an hour you should easily do about 900 to 1100 iron bars, so really you do double your starting funds.

Banana Baskets
Written by Lanique
Posted Image
Requirements
Approximately 200-250k per hour!

  • Approximately 30,000gp cash.
  • (Not needed but is needed for more profit.) Energy Potions.

Introduction
This is one of the easiest money making ways that require no skills at all. I also thinks the rewards are very promising. The prices are very stable and sell at max price instantly! The total amount of money you need is less than 10,000gp, You don't need any experience either.

Process

Step 1 - Head to catherby. Then walk/run to the Farming Store and buy as many Baskets you can for only 1gp.
Posted Image
Basket Value : 92gp.
Time per trip while Walking : Approximately 59 seconds.
Time per trip while Running : Approximately 35 seconds.

Step 2
- Once you stock up on 300-500 regular baskets, head down to the two sailors down at the dock. They sell bananas for 2gp each, and you need to fill the baskets with bananas. 5 Bananas fit in one basket. Bring 17 baskets each trip. So you can only buy a total of 10 bananas each time, to fill 2 baskets. This is the fastest way.
The sailors are indicated with the orange line.
Tip : When filling baskets, don't right click and press "fill basket." Left clicking the basket fills by itself.
Basket of Bananas full, value : 380-404gp.
One inventory value is approximately 7-8k.
Posted Image

Step 3
- Head to the Grand Exchange with your earnings. Note all your baskets, and try selling for the max price. If they do not sell instantly, change them to regular price. They usually sell for max price, instantly.
Your end result should result in lots of cash.

I earned this in 1 hour of work with Energy Potions.

-UNDER CONSTRUCTION-

Killing Green Dragons in the Chaos Tunnels

Profit/Hour: 500,000-800,000

Killing Green Dragons in the Chaos Tunnels can net impressive profits and xp. In this guide, you will learn how to maximize efficiency and speed there using the prayer Piety. Be aware that the skill and quest requirements are quite large, so be prepared to work for it.

Overall Information

Each year, millions of Green Dragons are killed east of Clan Wars by players for the valuable Green Dragonhide and Dragon Bones that they drop. That is the best method they know to make money. What these players don't know is that deep in the 3rd-biggest dungeon in RuneScape, 4 Green Dragons dwell Revenant-free; in a relatively quaint environment. Unfortunately, they share their cavern with 4 vicious, Baby Black Dragons (83). Since the cavern is multi-combat, you might find yourself getting piled by 4 Baby Black Dragons. Some players do kill Green Dragons in the their little-known location in the Chaos Tunnels, but what they DON'T know is how to effectively train there with the prayer Piety. You guessed it, that's the Lmomjian-created method I'll be teaching you!

Requirements

(
Requirements, High Recommendations, Recommendations)
  • Level 105 Combat or higher
  • Level 70+ Attack, Strength, Defence, and Hitpoints
  • Level 60+ Prayer
  • Level 47 Construction (or 45 with a Crystal Saw)
  • Level 40 or 52+ Summoning
  • A mounted Glory and Prayer altar close to the portal
  • Access to Chivalry and Piety (Completed the quest "King's Ransom", and have completed the Knight Waves mini-quest)
  • Level 80+ Attack, Strength, Defence, and Hitpoints
  • Level 70+ Prayer
  • Dragonfire Shield
  • Access to Overload potion (Level 96 Herblore)
  • Armadyl Godsword or Dragon Claws (only if one has Level 85 Herblore for the two potions listed below)
  • Access to Recover special and Super Antifire potions (Level 84/85 Herblore)
  • Access to Extreme Attack, Strength, and Defence potions (Level 88/89/90 Herblore)

Equipment

HELMET: Helmet of Neitiznot > Proselyte Sallet > Initiate Hauberk

CAPE: Fire Cape > Skill Cape (t) > God Cloak

AMULET: Amulet of Fury > Amulet of Glory > God Stole

AMMUNITON: None

WEAPON: Abyssal Whip > Dragon Scimitar

BODY: Proselyte Hauberk > Initiate Hauberk

SHIELD: Dragonfire Shield > Anti-Dragon Shield*

LEGS: Proselyte Cuisse/Tasset > Initiate Cuisse

GLOVES: Barrows RFD Gloves > Dragon RFD Gloves > Rune RFD Gloves > Regen Bracelet > Adamant RFD Gloves > Combat Bracelet

BOOTS:Dragon Boots > Bandos Boots > Rune Boots > Adamant Boots

RING: Berserker Ring (i) > Warrior Ring (i) > Berserker Ring > Warrior Ring > Ring of Life

*If you are using an Anti-Dragon Shield, you MUST keep more than one in your bank. If you only have one and die with it, you will have a very hard time looting your grave without Dragonfire protection.

Method

If you have Level 96+ Herblore: Start at Edgeville bank, with the equipment you're going to be using worn. Withdraw the following: an Overload potion (any dose), two Recover Special potions, a Dragon Dagger (p++), a Teleport to House tablet, and 17 Trout. Now drink one dose of the Overload, then eat 7 Trout to bring your Hitpoints back up to full. If you have an Armadyl Godsword or Dragon Claws, bring them instead of the Dragon Dagger (p++). Make sure to also bring a full Super Antifire potion, and drink a dose now. Next deposit the Overload.

If you have Level 90 Herblore: Start at Edgeville bank, with the equipment you're going to be using worn. Withdraw the following: an Extreme Attack potion (any dose), an Extreme Strength potion, two Recover Special potions, a Dragon Dagger (p++), a Teleport to House tablet, and 10 Trout. Now drink one dose of the Extreme Attack and one dose of the Extreme Strength. If you have an Armadyl Godsword or Dragon Claws, bring them instead of the Dragon Dagger (p++). Make sure to also bring a full Super Antifire potion, and drink a dose now. Next deposit the Extreme Attack and Strength potions.

If you have Level 85 Herblore: Start at Edgeville bank, with the equipment you're going to be using worn. Withdraw the following: a Super Attack potion (any dose), a Super Strength potion (any dose), a Super Defence potion (any dose), two Recover special potions, a Dragon Dagger (p++) (p++), a Teleport to House tablet, and 10 Trout. Now drink one dose of the Super set. If you have an Armadyl Godsword or Dragon Claws, bring them instead of the Dragon Dagger (p++). Make sure to also bring a full Super Antifire potion, and drink a dose now. Next deposit the Super set.

If you have a Dragon Battleaxe but no high level potion access: Start at Edgeville bank, with the equipment you're going to be using worn. Withdraw the following: a Restore potion (any dose), a Super Attack potion (any dose), a Super Defence potion (also any dose), a Dragon Battleaxe, a Teleport to House tablet, and 10 Trout. Wield and spec with the Dbaxe, then drink one dose of the potions in this order: Restore, Super Attack, Super Defence. Next deposit the potions you just took out, as well as the Dragon Battleaxe.

If you have nothing special: Start at Edgeville bank, with the equipment you're going to be using worn. Withdraw the following: a Super Attack potion (any dose), a Super Defence potion (also any dose), a Super Strength potion, a Teleport to House tablet, and 10 Trout. Drink one dose of each potion, then deposit them. You may want to bring a Dragon Dagger (p++) (p++) for its specials at the cost of one less inventory space of loot.

Next, withdraw a Spirit Terrorbird pouch and 5 Tireless Run scrolls, or a Bull Ant pouch and 5 Unburden scrolls. Summon your terrorbird/ant, and make sure that your Quick Prayer is set to Piety/Chivalry, and that ONLY. It can be very useful when you need a little more power to claim that kill. Unfortunately, since you're now using 1 more inventory slot, expect about 1K less loot. Now that you're suited up and ready to go, it's time to head off! Head to the Chaos Tunnels located right above the Grand Exchange in Level-6 Wilderness.

Once you enter the rift, you'll find yourself in a dimly lit cavern filled with Crypt Spiders (56) and Shadow Spiders (52). The Shadow Spider's attack drains your Prayer points by 50% each time they attack, regardless of if they hit you or not. Both monsters are aggressive, but at Level 105 Combat, the Shadow Spiders become un-aggressive! Run to the bottom-right portal, and that's where you'll find the dragons to kill.

Okay dudes, it's time to own some drags! Once you get in, if there are more than 2 people there, world hop. There will probably be 1 or 2 players there. They are your competition. Don't worry though, as no one else there is praying Piety! You shouldn't have a problem claiming your kills.

Regular: Run over to a Green Dragon, turn on Piety, and slay that dragon. Once it's dead, quickly turn off your Quick prayer and collect their drops. Head to another dragon.

Recover special with Dragon Dagger (p++): Run over to a Green Dragon with your DDS equipped, select Special Attack, turn on Piety, and attack the dragon. Once you use the 1st Special, drink a dose of the Restore Special, then keep Special Attacking it down. Keep drinking the Restore Special every 30 seconds, using the Dragon Dagger (p++) special Attacks when possible.

Recover special with Armadyl Godsword or Dragon Claws: Run over to a Green Dragon with your AGS/Claws equipped, select Special Attack, turn on Piety, and attack the dragon. Once you use the two specials, immediately drink a dose of the Recover Special. Keep drinking the Restore Special every 30 seconds, using the Special Attacks when possible. Make sure to drink a dose of the Super Antifire you brought along when needed.

By now, you're probably being attacked by a couple Baby Black Dragons (babies for short). You have 5 options to choose from:

1. Block the babies with the Green Dragon. You can do this by running around the Green Dragon. Since the Green Dragon is a lot bigger than the babies, it's pretty easy to block them. There are several different configurations that you will eventually learn through experience.

Note: The Green Dragon's block show in the diagrams is only the size that the game thinks it is. That “imaginary size” is also the size that the babies think it is, and won't pass. This means that if you see babies that are blocked, but they look like they have plenty of space to move, they're being blocked by the Green Dragon's actual size.

2. Run away, out of the portal you came from then back in again. You might be wondering “HOW COULD THAT HELP AT ALL?!” Well, it's like this. Babies use a sort of targeting system for attacking players. Once they spawn, the person nearest them becomes their complete target. If you leave the cavern through the portal while targeted by one, they'll leave you and target someone else. Be aware that this only works if there is another player there, or else they'll just re-target you when you re-enter. This is also somewhat of a dirty trick, so use at your own discretion.

3. Order your familiar on one. This doesn't work too well, as it takes a couple hits from your familiar to get it targeted. And if you call your familiar off once it's targeted, the baby will soon get tired of training on your familiar, and target you again. It's MUCH more helpful to just tell your familiar to attack the Green Dragons with you than to be rid of one baby. One of the most useful things you can do with a familiar is tell it to finish off a Green Dragon that you left with 5 Hitpoints left.

5. Kill them yourself. I NEVER recommend this as it wastes valuable time, and when you're killing Green Dragons, time is money.

Now that you know how to deal with the babies, the only thing left to tell you is about the drops. You'll be having to decide if you should kill a Green Dragon for 4k worth of loot, but have to drop 2k worth of stuff to hold the Green Dhide and D bones. I always keep the 75 Water rune and 3 Law rune drops. You never know, you might get two Law rune drops, and it'll be worth it! Make yourself familiar with Green Dragons' drops, because you don't want to have to be leaving something more valuable and keeping something cheaper in your haste.

Once your inventory is full, run to the NW corner of the cavern so that you can bank with your familiar without the interruption of combat. Once you're done, keep slaying dragons till your inventory is again full. Break your tablet, recharge your Prayer points at your altar, then teleport to Edgeville with your mounted Amulet of Glory.

Once you arrive in Edgeville, “Deposit All” your inventory and your familiar's inventory. You now know everything there is to know about the best way to kill Green Dragons!

Disclaimer: This is not intended to be read right after you die. It is your responsibility to read this ahead of time, and be prepared.

Return time: Safe (2-3 Minutes)

First things first - try to stay calm and don't panic! From your respawn point (which in best-worst is Camelot, Falador, Lumbridge), run to a bank and withdraw the following:

  • Anti-Dragon Shield (only if you didn't bring a Dragonfire Shield)
  • Teleport to House tablet
  • Amulet of Glory with 1 or more charges
  • 1 piece of food (Lobster or above)
  • Prayer Potion or Super Restore Potion (4)
Teleport to Edgeville with your Glory, then take the route you usually do to the Green Dragons. While you're running, make sure to equip all 3 pieces of armor you kept on death and set Auto-retaliate to “Off”. If you didn't keep a Dragonfire Shield, MAKE SURE TO EQUIP THE ANTI-DRAGON SHIELD! As soon as you enter the cavern, immediately activate “Protect from Melee” and keep running to your grave. If you're attacked while trying to loot your grave, it will close. Try grab one item in between attacks from the dragons. Eat your food if necessary, as your shield doesn't give complete protection against dragonfire.

Keep taking loot, drinking your Prayer/Super Restore Potion when needed. Make sure not to break your tablet until your inventory is full of loot or you've retained all your items, as the Green Dragon drops you died with are worth quite a bit.

Keep in mind that death here is not rare (I Ring of Life'd out with 1 hp once ;-D), and you should always be prepared for it. I hope you enjoying reading my “Killing Green Dragons in the Chaos Tunnels” guide, and have fun making millions!

CLIMBING BOOTS
Written by Xrychx

REQUIREMENTS

Completion of the Death Plateu quest
A decent agility level is an advantage

ITEMS NEEDED/INVENTORY

8 Varrock Teletabs
1 Games Necklace(8)
2496 cash

PROCESS

To begin, use your games necklace (it should be equipped) to teleport to the Burthrope Games Rooms. Go up both the ladders, and head towards the Warrior's Guild, but keep going west. If you follow that path, you should remember that it leads to Tenzig's house from the Death Plateu quest. Proceed to his house, and talk to him. Tell him that you would like to buy some climbing boots. He agrees to sell them to you for 12 gp. Keep repeating this chat until your inventory is full. Use a Varrock Teletab to teleport to Varrock and bank your Climbing Boots, and repeat until happy with the amount of boots you have. When you have the desired amount of boots, sell for max price, and they will usually sell immediately. If not, just wait. They will sell.

At the time of my writing of this guide, climbing boots are sitting at 789 gp at max price. This gives you a hefty 777 gp profit per boot! I am able to do about 16 inventories in an hour. 16 times 26 (the amount of boots per inventory) gives you 416 boots per hour. Multiply that by your profit (777) and you get 32323 gp per hour. Taking in expenses for tabs and necklaces, that leaves you sitting on about 300k per hour, absolutely no skills needed. Well, 17 attack from Death Plateu I guess :)
