About the real life pic issue, I think it's kind of lame that we can't post picture, I mean people here should be old enough to know that most of the female users are fake, so maybe you could just add a warning to the rules about it or tell them to have some kind of sign in the picture that shows their RuneScape name maybe.

What do real-life pictures have to do with a RuneScape achievement thread? In my view, nothing at all. We already have a sticky in Off Topic which allows users to post such images.

-_-

Yes, but neither does "About me". I think if someone wants to post their rl pic, they should be able to. It lets you learn a bit more about the person.

Well, I don't mind speaking bluntly, so here it goes.

Firstly, the achievements log can be a little to much. For example, if the author chooses to advertise their IRC, they should, because generally, the IRC is avaiable on the SwiftSwitch tool kit, being hosted by Zybez Community. Theres always going to be hackers and scammers, but honestly, does it really matter? The author should be aware of all the rules.

Secondly, I think that we should have a little award of mosted view topic maybe?

Anyways, it's basically pretty good standards, keep it up all :)

There are many factors with that. First off, what about threads that have been here longer? Also we don't know how many views were by other people, rather than the topic creator. Also it would encourage DDOSing which can be read about here.

Firstly, you will notice we have allowed IRC Channels in Achievements since not long before you posted. Secondly, views, and post counts, mean nothing.

Well put =) Anyways I'd say the Achievements are great already. Defintely my favorite forum.

Maybe a Thread Some Layouts for Threads Could be made to get newcomers started? And maybe more pictures allowed per thread. I Always run Out >.<

Anyways Gl with whatever Happens.

That's for the whole forum, isn't something you can change for a sub-forum.

Sure I could fix some themeplates for newcomers for you (the moderators/CLs).
To give something back to them as they're giving us a great forum to enjoy.

Real Life Pictures
Real Life Pictures are now allowed in your Achievement Topic, for decorative purposes only. You can have up to two pictures of yourself in your Topic. No comments towards any said photo should be posted - neither will any flaming, spamming, flirting or similar be acceptable behaviour. To post a picture of yourself, you must take the photo with evidence of you owning your RSC account - that is, you must hold up a sign with your RSC account's name on it to prove you are who you claim to be. Any photos without evidence will be deleted.

Both sets of rules are the same, if you go in single achievements and read.

http://www.zybez.net...owtopic=1048086 - Drop Log Dropoff - to try and quell the amount of single, double and triple drop topics in single achievements. We will not be having a drop-specific forum at this point in time.

Achievement rules said:

No asking for donations.
Any words similar or any mention will be removed from the post. If you continue to add them you will be suspended. This also counts for the "Well I am not asking for them, but I would be happy to take them" type.

This rule is rather ilrelevant now as you can no longer donate. :-P

Good point. Removed that rule. When item lending comes in, if its a problem with people begging in this way, will have to be added to the rules.

I don't know to what extent it's possible, but I'd like to see a forum function added (even if only to this section, though ideally it could work for the whole of RSC) that shows whether we've already posted our support in a thread, perhaps by showing up a different colour slightly alongside the existing thread icons. This way we could quickly see whether we've added our support to a thread without re-reading it.

Other than that, maybe make a minimum number of characters before players can make a post? Some posts are far too short when posted, often to the point of single achievement length, so perhaps a little warning should pop up saying, "Your post is too short at present for this section of the forums. Maybe consider using a thread template to help you know what to write?" with a link to a template and even an option to save their thread for later posting so they can keep working on it then post it finally once they're done?

Hope that makes some kind of sense to others.

I never thought of this :-O I remember on an old forum of mine we had a restriction of post length, requiring it to be a certain length to be posted. I'm sure that this is either a board setting, or something that could be easily implemented and would cut down on the spam greatly. Really thats an issue with the SMods and Kings as to whether they can and will do it though.

To add on to this... your first part Ansel:

We're not having a character-limit for posts - its easily avoidable.

Maybe split up the can you hit higher than me into like:

A section for npc hits(with a black mask or salve) and one with pvp max hits. Idk if its a good idea or not but its my favorite subforum area so i like it :].
not playing rs that much, my band is recording/playing gigs.

I don't think the topic is at a high enough activity level to warrant a move like that. It could be done... but it would require sorting through over 500 posts and moving them, and would just add to the big amount of stickies we already have. So seems pointless in my opinion.

well what could happen is you delete the max hits area, then create the 2 new ones. if that simplifies it? ;] i wouldnt want to sort through 500 posts either

Is there really any reason to do that? The thread doesn't exactly get flooded with posts, so I can't see any reason why another thread should be made.
