Firefox 3.6

I upgraded my browser, and now Runescape won't load. I just get a big black blank page with the advert on top and the toolbar with the "home" and "search" option. Is there any possible way for me to downgrade, or fix the issue (if it isn't, indeed, with Firefox)?

If so, please detail it here. Thank you.

Video To Flash Exe?

Gotta be honest, I know very little about flash. What I am looking for is a simple way to convert a video file (doesn't matter what format) to an exe. The reason I want to do this is to make a prank on a buddy of mine for april fool's and when the computer starts up it to run the exe and play the video I want. Anyone know of a simple way to do this?

Thanks in advance.

Recording.

Alright boys and girls.. I'm looking for a decent quality recorder that I can use to record on re-sizeable during a war. I hate warring on fixed so one that would work on re-sizeable would be ideal as well as a decent editor (I can get Vegas 9.0, I have WMM already).

If you know of anything, post here as I'll be tracking this, can message me via these forums or through msn - John_rs@live.com.

A Blank Slate: Linux Suggestions & Comments.

On Friday, I bought a ThinkPad T500 for my new laptop off Ebay. It currently has Windows 7 Pro(32-bit I assume), which I will obviously wipe(I will back up a copy if it doesn't come with a recovery disk), and then install a version of Linux. I may setup a dual-boot system, I may not.
It has the following specs:
CPU: Intel C2D, 2.53GHZ
Ram: 4GB
Harddisk: 320GB, 5400RPM(most likely)
Display: 1680 x 1050
GPU: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 / Intel GMA 4500MHD, 256 MB (Switchable graphics) - Assume its locked in ATI mode.
WiFi: Intel WiFi Link 5100
Everything else I am not positive about, but you can see the possible options Here.
I will have it in a week or so.
------
Now, on to the question for Y'all:
I have a blank slate here. Decent specs, an empty harddisk, and I can experiment with it. I still have my old laptop, so I can afford to mess around, test things out.

First thing to figure out: What version of Linux? I have a fair bit of experience with (K)Ubuntu, so keeping it to a Debian-based distro would probably be a good idea. I've heard Linux Mint is good - Any thoughts?

Second thing: Desktop Manager. I like KDE, XFCE and Gnome, in that order. I'm not sure about any other main ones, but those are my choices. I figure I'll go to KDE, unless there's something really nice about XFCE etc. Go ahead and give some comments and such on your favorite.

Third: Sound System. I use ALSA on both Ubuntu installs - I've heard PulseAudio is both good and bad. I've also heard that OSS4 is as good as ALSA if not better. Any thoughts?

Fourth: Graphics driver. I'm probably going to be going with the FGRLX blob - The OSS driver just doesn't have the performance. Any thoughts? Any versions I should be wary of?
I'm planning to use Compiz Fusion and setup a 3D cube, and while I've had good luck so far... I have no ATI experiance this way.

Fifth: Partitioning scheme: I figure I'll partition it with 4GB for swap, 20 for Linux, 50 for Windows, and the rest for Data. I think EXT4 would be a good option for the Linux partition, but what should I use for my Data?
Ext2/3 is workable from windows, Fat32 works well on all but is ancient, and NTFS is readable/writable on Linux, just no writing of compressed folders, and fragmentation is -horrible- After a while of Linux use.

Any other things I should look at? Speak up! I want to hear input - Including your own personal favorites, and -why- you like em!
