Is There Value To "Constitution"?

I was curious about the actual benefits people see with the change to Constitution.
I found one dealing with damage and exp rates. I've noticed people normally hit a "round down" hit.
With the change to damage dealt, you now get slightly more exp than before.

Example:
Before - 11 x 4 = 44 exp
Now - 114 x 4 = 45.6 or 46 exp

The same "hit" now offers slightly more exp.

Jagex said that they plan to use Constitution in quests. I suppose listing it as an endurance skill, they'll use it as a quest requirement. But, this change seems too WoW-ish for my liking. I enjoyed seeing a hit like 30-50 and being very proud of it; unlike other video games where hitting 30-50 incures a long string of curse words.

Is there actual value and benefits to be gained from the change, or is this another step towards the World of WarScape?

Amulet Of Fury - A Symbol Of Status?

What do you think when you see someone in full Rune and a Glory? How does that change when you see the exact same person, except this time, he has an Amulet of Fury equipped instead?

The above is just an example. So, what do you feel when you see someone decked out in an Amulet of Fury? Does it change your opinion and first impression of that person? Or does it disgust you?

Strange Root/Tentical?

Ok well believe me if you'd like, but a few days ago i was running past ardrogne to plant some herbs. I was at the east exit, and as i ran these tenticals/roots came out of the ground, and started spinning around in the air. My character in game said on its own "what was that?" as i kept running north towards the farming patch. Has anyone else experienced strange things happening in game lately? I wish i had taken a screen shot, but it happened really fast. Also note: I was not drinking, smoking, and it was only like 1:00am or something est. Just wondering if anyone else experienced this.

Why do players buy these flowers. I have no idea of their use.

Say No To Level 99

I'm going to jump right into the thesis of this discussion. I do not want to reach level 99 in any skill.

As of right now, I have a total level of 1875, and I do not have level 99 in any skill. My highest skill right now is 93 cooking. Personally, It saddens me to hit level 99. When I think about it, it makes me feel that the game is over. Well- it is not over, but that skill is finished. Sure you can enjoy the rewards of the level 99 skill, whether it be through a skill cape or maybe the reward of being able to not burn anything while cooking. Nonetheless, you cannot do anything else with that skill other than gain experience until you reach 200 million within that skill.

Here are two examples.

This first example is cooking. While you level a skill, any skill for that matter, you gain the ability to do different things with that skill. With cooking, you gain the ability to cook new object, and you stop burning objects you already could cook. At level 50, you have been cooking lobsters for 10 levels already. At level 50, there are so many more things you can accomplish while you are training your cooking. You can set a goal to gain the ability to cook sharks at level 80. But once you reach that level of 99... there is nothing else out there. That skill is done. There is nothing you cannot do with that skill.

The other example is strength. You want 99 strength because you want to be able to hit as high as you can. But once you hit level 99, you cannot hit any higher (unless there is new items brought into the game). If I was to hit level 99, I'd probably try to figure out what my max hit was. After I found that out, I would want to hit higher than that! Just like cooking, you cannot do anything else. You can only hit a certain amount. I want to keep being able to hit higher and higher and higher.

Frankly, that saddens me. I want to keep aspiring for something. Sure you can aspire for 200 million exp in that skill, but that is all you are ever going to be able to aspire for. There are no more fish you cannot learn to cook. You have done it all! To some that sounds pretty great, but do me? That is sad. I still miss that nostalgia effect of this game.

Thoughts?

Constituion- New Skill?

I'm not sure if this should go in questions or this
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------As some of you know the "new" constitution skill is just an edited hitpoints skill. In some Q&A (question and answer) Jagex talked about a new skill. Also around the new year Jagex on the front page said that there would be a new Grandmaster quest (Normad's requam, I most likely spelled that wrong)a new skill and a bunch of other stuff i don't remember. The question is is the constitution skill this skill?

Are Jagex Forgetting Their Players?

Before I start, I understand the huge discussion right now is about the new Constitution update. So, in regards to that, try to refrain from and use more of a proficient discussion.

Constitution. This is the word that Jagex has changed the old Hitpoints to. Basically, every successful hit has been multiplied by 10. So, before the update, you would be hit a 10; now, you would be hit a 100. As I said before, this has been discussed numerous times before. What I would to merely discuss is what is Jagex doing with this particular update? Here are a few points:

1) Jagex gave no clarification to us, their players, about this update whatsoever.
2) We could have easily gone on without this update. Basically, it wasn't needed.
3) This has been one of the most shocking updates we've had in awhile.

To the point number one, Jagex didn't even tell us anything about this update. There was no development diary, no hint, nothing. It just... happened one update week. What were Jagex thinking? A few years ago, Jagex wanted to - and still do, improve their relationship with us players. But, they've pretty much broken a lot of their players trust. They completely ignored their players with this update. Now, for me, I'm pretty much neutral, as I always am. I didn't rant against Jagex, but after this update, my positive attitude towards them has decreased.

Now, in conclusion, are Jagex forgetting their - us, players? Are Jagex going to continue releasing unspoken of updates? Will Jagex improve? For the big question, what do you think are Jagex's opinion towards us with their updates.

Discuss.

Game Changer?

This is my first post in the General Discussion forum in a very long time. So excuse me if I impose on any rules.
-------------------------------------

When I first saw the update for the double-xp weekend I thought to myself "Everything is going to go into havoc this weekend". Either way it's a game changer.

I see this event as well as much of what they have been doing recently as a game changer, because before many of the people I associate that played this game had given it up almost completely including myself. When I saw this I saw it as an opportunity to get back in it and get my levels up a bit more before I finally hang the gloves.

Do you think that this might be a more frequent thing? Maybe a yearly event from now on? Would YOU like it to be a yearly event? Something to keep players interested and motivated to play?

How are you fairing during your XP bonanza weekend? I personally went from 77 Herblore to 80 and I still have herbs and time to go.

Jagex has put into play recently new updates that kinda forces the older players to re-evaluate how they can play it again. The new system for HP is a little weird because now I don't know my newest max hit anymore, nor do I know how much food to bring because everything has changed.

I would like to hear people's thoughts on how the recent updates from the last ~30 days have changed how you play Runescape and the strategies that you take when you PK, train or skill over the course of this weekend and beyond.
