(3) Your firewall is not blocking SwiftKit. There are many different firewalls out there and this is a common problem. Make sure SwiftKit is allowed to go to the internet.

Okay, so basically the problem is that everytime i boot Swiftkit up it attempts to install updates, of which it should do. However it manages to download them and needs to reboot to install, after trying to reboot it says "Error 75" "Path/file access error"

I also tried running with the debug thingy this is what it created:
[05/11/2009 00:08:53] Starting up...
[05/11/2009 00:08:54] Starting up...launcher version is 1.45.85

[05/11/2009 00:09:02] Check assets
[05/11/2009 00:09:02] Check versions

I have followed everything that has been said on the knowledge base, and from most peoples feedback aswell as mine, it isnt working.
Just wondering if you have any way of solving this problem as it currently means i cannot update swiftkit. Also, if you would like me to try re-installing, is there anyway to save personal data, eg. notes, screenshots ect. as i don't want to lose them.

Thanks, Andy.

Hmm... didn't seem to work and on uninstallation it seemed as thought it didn't actually remove the swiftkit data and folders. Would it be okay to delete all swiftkit folders in locations

c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\swiftkit

and

C:\Program Files\Swiftkit

Beforehand, backing up the files/screenshots i'd like to save. Then try re-installing.

Okay, sorry about the delays, kinda busy at the moment with things. But, anyways, i uninstalled and then deleted all the swiftkit data, backing Notes/Screenshots/Other personal data up, to another location beforehand. But on uninstallation i got this error:

Posted Image

I'm unsure what it's importance is, if any, also the file Swiftkit.exe cannot be deleted from "c:\Program files\Swiftkit" and even after shredding the file into 35 passes, using "Spybot Seach and Destroy file shredder" can still not be removed.

Further to uninstalling Swiftkit i can nolonger click abort when it tries to update, the button does nothing. Therefore i cannot access Swiftkit at all. This may be a problem with my computer and I shall run an anti virus and a couple of ad-ware/malware scans tonight, if any infections are found I will fix and retry.

Thanks for your help. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Okay, fixed the problem. The problem seemed to be caused be a faulty or malware attacked comodo firewall. After uninstalling this program Swiftkit works fine.

Problem solved :)

Thanks, Andy.
