New Leathers - Ranger's Best Friend

Koppen said:

I kinda recompiled the whole thing, and I've added every sinlge crafting detail for F2P armours and some pictures as well.

Introduction

With Jagex intention to introduce the "Pking Triangle", it would be inevitable that Jagex has to give Rangers a much awaited boost. The biggest way in which Jagex has done so is by tweaking leather armours. These lightweight protection are no longer the "useless armours", instead, they would now be an inseperable part of any ranger.

Consequently, crafting has gained more use as it is the key skill in creating these defensive equipments suited for rangers.

--------------------------------------------------

Key Additions/Changes

The New Crafting Window - List of F2P craftable leathers

1. All such leather/dragonhide armours now give boosts in ranged attack and magic defence. However, they provide poor protection against melee.
2. Head Armour (Cowl and Coif), Vambraces and Chaps have been added.
3. Hardened Leather has been added, and it is only used for body armour.
4. 1 Cow hide can be also tanned into Hard Leather for 3gp.
5. Studs have been introduced, and can be smithed and attached onto armours by P2Pers
6. Dragonhides are added, and can be crafted into armour by P2Pers.
7. Dragonhides required to craft Armour, Chaps and Vambraces are 3, 2, 1 respectively.

Mort Myre Snelms

Starting off, you must have completed the Priest in Peril Quest to even access the area to get the snelms.

Secondly, it is not necessary but helpful if you have done the Nature Spirit Quest so that you can keep your Druid Pouch and Silver Sickle handy since the swamps have be overrun with Ghasts since the crouds died down.

Third, all the snelms give the same bonuses, but some look cooler than others, hence, the high prices. But all of the snelms are easy to get and I wouldn't recommend anyone to waste their money on them because they have very poor stats and aren't really helpful. But as usual, the demand is high and so will be the prices.

Fourth, all snails are found in and around the Mort Myre swamp, killing them drops a raw snail meat and a particular shell. Use a chisel on the shell to craft a Snelm, and the meat can be cooked for some minor healing.

Guides to werewolves,

About werewolves:
These creatures are the poor people that got bitten by other werewolves, so when every the moon is full, they will change forum in to werewolves, that mean ever time you attack them with out special weapon that could stop them change forum, they will become a fully grown wolf, because they got curse by evil power so their strengh will be stronger then normal wolfs.

Stats:
Combat Level: 88
Number of Hitpoints: 101
Retreats? No
Members only? Yes
Total XP: 196
XP given to Hitpoints, or if fighting controlled: 49 XP when fighting +3 to specific skill: 147

Why werewolves are better (compared to lesser):
Werewolves are almost the same as lesser demon, it is both hard to kill for low leveled, but like me, level 90, I would choose werewolves; I choose them because they located just beside bank, so it will be easy to get my food if I need any.
Also, they drop more rune meds then lesser demons; I got a lot rune meds if I am there for training for 1 hour and I got more rune meds then I ever got from lesser demons,

How to kill werewolves:
Every time you attack man or woman in the city of Canifis without a wolf bane, they will turn into a level 88 werewolves, if you attack with a wolf bane, it will stay in man or woman,

Tips for killing werewolves:
The best place for killing werewolf in the city will be the bar, at the bar, you could
Stand behind a chair or a table you could range them or mage them, but mage will be a waste because they drop less runes then rune meds

For meleeing:
Get your armour and weapon, like 20 foods and get in the bar, begin to attack werewolves and kill them for drops, it will be normal. Nothing special, my highest record for killing one werewolves, is 15 sec, in about 5 or 6 hit 15+
Their easy to kill and good for training my level.
(NOTE: You can buy beer from the bar to heal 5 at a time without draining your stats~!)

Special meleeing:
Hallys! their are good for lower level, because werewolves could not get you by this way, stand behind a table or a chair and shoot a curse spell on them and they will come after you, hide behind a chair and start fighting it with a hally, but it will be slow.

For rangers:
Get your ranging item and stand behind the tables, start ranging them and get your arrow
Back when their dead, beware of noob that steal arrows, you could range it with
Throwing knife, axe, darts... etc all kind of ranging equipment

What they drop:
Steel full helmet, Steel axe, Mithril chain body, Coins 20-222, Vial, Vial of water, Fur, Grey fur, Jug of wine, Herb, Rune medium helmet, Nature talisman, Mithril square shield, Raw bear meat (5), Raw beef (5), Steel scimitar, Clue scroll, Eye of newt, and Steel arrows (50).
Adding new pictures now

Guide to mass slaughtering kalphite guardians

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Contents:
0. Introduction
1. Equipment
2. recommended stats
3. The technique for mass slaughter
4. Luring
5. Information about the guardians
6. FAQ

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

0. Introduction
The aim of this guide is to help people mass slaughter kalphite guardians whilst taking little or no damage from them, if you go there then you'll notice no obvious obstacles in which you can get them trapped whilst you knock seven bells out of them, there's the tunnel enterance but since there's two guardians in multi attack area then you'll have a problem there.
Anyway, please read on and enjoy.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Equipment
Obviously you'll need equipment relevant to your combat style, Here's a small list of what i recommend.

Melee - Ruby/Diamond/Dragonstone amulet, Rune or Dragon halberd, Anti Poison potions (two 4 dose should be enough), armour isn't a necessity but obviously it's helpfull if you accidently get hit by the guardian, Food (cheap food will do since the main aim isn't to get hit), Mind + Air runes (for luring, see section 4).

Range - Diamond/Dragonstone amulet, Magic shortbow, bronze arrows*, Full blue/red/black dragon hide, Archer helm/coif/robin hood hat, anti poison potions, food (cheap food will suffice).
* I recommend bronze arrows since you'll be killing them for quite some time and they're cheap. Also they only effect damage, not accuracy.

Mage - Sapphire/Diamond/Dragonstone amulet, Any elemental staff (air, water, earth, fire), Mystic robes, Chaos/Death/Blood and elemental runes, anti poison potions, food (again, cheap food will do).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. Recommended Stats
Obviously higher is better, but not everyone has 90+ in all stats.

Melee - 50+ attack, 50+ strength, defence isn't really needed since you won't get hit often. Although you'll be able to kill the guardians with these stats, it will take a while so if possible bring a friend since you're in multi attack area.

Range - 55+ range, again it is possible to kill the guardians with these stats but at a slow pace. Try and bring a trustworthy friend with you.

Mage - 40+ magic, if you're wearing mystic robes and a good staff then your accuracy should be fairly high, i haven't ever tried magic on a major scale so this part is fairly opinionated. Again try and bring a friend and please post any corrections to this part.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3. The technique for mass slaughter
Unless you have stupidly high melee stats and 43+ prayer and a truck load of prayer pots, then don't charge in because you will get smacked silly and poisoned.
Instead you'll need to lure the guardian towards you (see section 4) and get it trapped behind this corner of the wall:
Posted Image
Once you've done that then lay into him with your chosen style of combat, if you're using a halberd then you'll need to take one step forward of where i am in that picture.
As for rangers and mages, make sure you stick right to that wall. Otherwise the guardian will find his way around and most probably will attack you, this also happens if someone walks past the guardian (the guardian will attack the new arrival), so be aware of any teams/suicidle people who want to go to the kalphite queen.

(If you do see a team go to the kalphite queen then 38+ prayer is an advantage, if you follow them and switch on protect from magic then you can loot the valuables of anyone who dies).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4. Luring
This is the only reason why people who use melee should bring runes, if you want to attack the guardian that's usually around the back of the tunnel enterance (where the queen is) then you'll need to attract his attention, shoot it and run back so it get stuck around the corner, if he manages to get stuck on any other obstacles (such as kalphite workers) then move around so he will find a way past them.
If you are using ranged then simply switch your attack mode to long range and bring him in from a safe distance.
If you pull it off then you shouldn't get hit at all.
Posted Image

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5. Information about the guardians
Level: 141
Style: Melee
Poison: Yes
Loot: Half of a Key, Air Runes (50), Rune Chain Body, Rune kite shield, Rune medium helmet, Blood Runes (7), Herbs, Law Runes (3), Coins (30-360), Uncut Gems, Cut Dragonstone, Mithril hatchet, defence pot (3 doses), Mithril Long Sword, Mithril short sword, Lobster (1), Adamant dagger, Dragon medium helm (confirmed), Lava battlestaff (rumoured), Chaos Runes (10), Rune arrows (42), Dragon Spear, Dragon Shield (left half)
Health: 180

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7. FAQ
Q. What happens if i get hit?
A. You may or may not take any damage, also there's a good chance that you will get poisoned but not always.

Q. Can i teleport?
A. Yes.

Q. What happens if someone comes along?
A. In my experience, the guardian decides to attack the new arrival since he/she is in it's attack range. This can also cause the guardian to move around the wall, if this happens run back and wait for everything to settle.

Warnesey's Guide on how to fight The Wallasalki Mages

This guide will hopefully, adivse you on the good methods and tactics used to kill the Wallasalki mages, without having to bank every 10 minutes.

The Wallasalki mages are the most powerful of the 3 species, hitting up to a max of 30 with water wave. Although Dragon hide is supposed to stop this, i have been hit 30 multiple times:

Posted Image

Location
The Wallasalki mages are located on Waterbirth Island. Enter the cave and proceed east until you come to 3 gates. The middle gate leads to the mages. To enter, you must have you and a friend stand on either pad at the side of the gate.
PROCEED WITH CAUTION. These mages will hit high and, while the melee WILL follow you.

Once Inside the gate...
Once you are inside the gate, I suggest running straight up (East) and enter the little passage at the top. Here, you will come across a barricade which can only be destroyed from the other side. To do this, get someone on one of the other corners (to get there, take a different tunnel). Let another friend in or a random person by ranging or maging the barricade infront of them. Once they are in, they should let you in.

This is a good spot to not get attacked, but be aware, rangers to the south may hit you, so stay in a corner. When a barricade is destroyed, the eggs release babies. Kill the babies and they do not come out until another gate is destroyed.

Items To take
Here is a picture of my inventory. This lasts me around 1 to 2 hours and should do you if you have the skill and the luck.

Posted Image

My inventory consists of 24 sharks, 5 air runes, 1 law rune and 1 super defence (4)
Sharks for food, runes for teleporting back to Camelot and the pot for a good defence.

What i wear:
Posted Image

This consists of armour resistant to mage. The dragonhide, which SHOULD be black gives a good 90+ defence. The Zammy cape, like other god capes gives +10 mage defence, the hat gives defence and so do the boots. The total defence i have is around 107+. The ring of wealth increases the drop rate, although this can be replaced with a ring of life in the case of lag. The arrows are steal, although iron can be used.

How to Kill the Mages
At first, you need to get, as i like to call it, and many of you know, non agro.
This means non aggressive. As you will have noticed, on entry, the mages attacked you. You need to stop them. To do this, just stand outside in the mages near the safe spot, with auto retaliate on. At this point you will use around 1/3 to 1/2 an inventory of food. Do this until you they stop attaking you. At this point you can stay alive with food, for around 1 - 2 hours. Attack the mages BUT make SURE!!! that you stay at the top area, try not to stray west as you WILL lose non agro and then have to start all over again and lose food.

Prayer
Prayer is only suggested by me if you have low range. Use protect from mage when the mages are actually attacking you, once they retreat, take this off.
I see many lvl 100+'s using prayer and i think why? Waste of pots that can be 5-6k

What They drop
Ok to the best bit, what they drop. The mages will drop 1 of 3 items used to make the armour.
Skull - Helm
Ribcage - Plate
Fibula - Legs
Skeletal Gloves
Skeletal Boots

Other drops:
1 - 3 Blood runes
Steal Arrows
1- 19 Death runes
Tinderbox
Tuna
Sardine
Bones 100%
1 - 3 Earth Runes
1- 3 Air Runes
Mind runes
Air, Nature, Cosmic,Earth, Chaos, Fire, Water, Body Talismans

I have the 3 items, now what?
Ok so you have the cage, skull and fibula. Now what?
What you need to do now is get 6 Daganoth hides. The normal ones. Personally, i prefer to buy the 6 hides, 30k per, 180k for all. However, you can kill the lvl 90 Daganoths for the hides, they do NOT drop hides every kill, they are pretty rare.
Once you have the 3 items in your inventory, along with 6 normal Daganoth hides and around 30k cash.

On to Relleka!!

Go to Relleka, once inside the town, head west. Keep going west until you reach Peer The Seer. Talk to him and ask about the Wallasalki Bones. You can now make the armour.

I hope this guide is good enough for you all ^_^

please note that this is warnesey333's guide and NOT mine, pm him in runescape, if you dont belive he gave me permission, all credit goes to me, the only credit to me is copying and pasting :)

Please ask me questions, as I am at the Wallasalkis most days.

NOTE: These Wallasalkis are GREAT for range exp!!! They have around 129hp and give around 500 exp. I got 36k experience from 60 kills.

**IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION TO ADD, PLEASE PM ME**

Powermining granite

1. Why this guide?

I found a great method how to get faster experience with powermining. The place is pretty unknown, but i thought you might wanna raise mining fast.

2. What do I need?

First go to Shantay Pass. Be sure you have:
  • Pickaxe
  • 235 coins ( 75 gp if you wear ring of charos (U), thanks to Snaparrow for the info )
  • 10-20 Waterskins
  • Atleast 35 mining. If you do have 45, it's alot better experience.
  • Desert robes
  • Enchanted water tiara
  • Varrock armor 2/3
Buy a shantay pass for 5 coins. Also buy about 10-20 waterskins ( They cost 30ea ) from Shantay Pass. Now go through the gate and head to magic carpet place which is just west. Talk to the magic carpet transporter and fly to Bedabin camp. While flying with magic carpet, don't wear anything in your weapon slot, it is because of safety.

3. Where can I do powermining?

You can do it in a quarry which is located at the desert, south to bandit camp. There are a lot of rocks so it's easy.

4. Pictures/Maps.

How to get there.
Red line - What distance you have to walk.
Black line - What distance you fly with magic carpet

5. Frequently Asked Questions.

Q: How fast is the experience per hour?
A: It depends on what kg granite you mine most. there are 500g, 1KG, 2KG, 5KG and 10KG sandstone/granite pieces. Read more about the experience here. With Varrock armor 2/3 you can up to 53K per hour.

Q: What should I wear?
A: You need a pickaxe for sure, take a games necklace/charge glory amulet or a ring of dueling if you want to get out of there fast. You need desert robes as well, to stay there longer. Varrock armor 2/3 is suggested, because Varrock armor sometimes gives you 2 ores per 1 rock. Using a water enchanted tiara from the Dealing with Scabarites quest means you don't have to use waterskins.

Q: There are some kind of (500g), (2Kg) signs after granite blocks, what are these?
A: This shows how many kilograms one block weights. The more it weights, the more you get mining experience.

High Alching without using a lot of natures

1.0 Introduction
Have you ever seen people alching objects for 65 magic experience plus a little cash? Do you want some money and mage xp? Well alching gives 65 magic experience per spell. We are talking about high alchemy. You don’t have to move to bank for any materials because they can be noted or in the Nature rune and money case they are stackable. You can get from 85 magic to 94 without spending any money. Now that I have told you the basic over view lets get into details.
======================

2.0 Requirements
To use the High Alchemy spell you need to have 55 magic and a fire staff or in the picture a lava staff.
Posted Image
You can wear whatever item that would you like for the chest, boots, gloves, amulet, helm, arrows, cape, shield, ring and leg slot. You need is a lava or fire staff so you don’t have to carry fires around. The alchemy spell uses 1 nature and 5 fires so all you need to cast this spell is a supply of natures equal to your supply of alching items(The Fire Staff supplies all of the fires). You need to have 28+ thieving for this method along with 1 lock pick and items that you will alch.
Posted Image
In this inventory picture I am using magic longs because of the 70 gp profit per alch. You can use of the ones below:
Yew Longbows (High Ach= 768 Gp)
Magic Longbows (High Alch= 1,536 Gp)
Steel Plate bodies (High Alch= 1,200 Gp)
Battle staffsClick this link for Battle staff information( High Alch= 9,300 Gp)
Note=
Vambraces are not very good because you need to collect the hides for profit. If you buy them you loose too much.

A Yew long requires:
1 Yew log- 260-300 gold each
1 Bow string- 150-180 gold each
70+ Fletching to make or you can find another person to fletch them.

A Magic long requires:
1 Magic log- 1k
1 Bow string- 150-180 gold each
85+ Fletching to make or you can find another person to fletch them.

A Steel plate body:
5 steel bars- 2 coal, 1 iron for one bar. They cost 550-580 each bar.
48 Smelting is the level to make the plate. (30 is to smelt the bar)

~Requirements~
  • 28+ Thieving
  • Fire or Lava staff
  • 55+ Magic
  • Nature runes(Half the number of natures as the amount of alchs you have)
  • Items that you will alch
  • A lock pick
  • Some way to not go insane from alching.
======================

3.0 location and process
Now that you have know the requirements and hopefully meet them you need to know where to go.
Posted Image
The guard tower is in the aqua box.
Posted Image
This is why you need a lock pick. It will never break. Use the pick lock option until you go through. After you are through the door go up the stairs.
The stairs lead to two chest that require 5 and 10 thieving.
Posted Image
Use the one on the left when you are facing east. You may ask why pick this spot above all others to alch. Well this spot has a nature respawn in the northern chest. All you need to do is click disarm the trap and you will automatically get a few coins and a nature rune. So you take the inventory I show above(You can use whatever alched item). You alch 2 bows then steal from the chest(it respawns by then). So every nature rune you use lets you alch two bows because you steal 1 nat from the chest. So I buy 1k nats and alch 2k alched materials. This means you don’t need to buy as many nats and free thieving xp. I suggest bringing 2k bows and 1k nats because the chest opens up and does 1 then 2 then 3 damage very second you stand in front of it at random intervals(1 or 2 times a hour). A guard can come and attack you which can hurt pretty bad. Just run down the stairs(I go to bank and back to restock on alchs and nats) and in 2 minutes the guard will leave.
======================

4.0 Tricks
After doing this you can start to realize little ways to make more money and alch faster. These were formed from my hours spent at alching:
  • Bring a chisel so you can cut all the gems you get from randoms and the chest.
  • Steal from the other chest it between the respawn of the nature chest.
  • Bring a ring of life so you do not get killed by a random or if you click open chest.
  • Bring 2,000 of the items you will alch and 1,000 natures because if you die you only loose a small amount of things.
  • Watch TV, Read my guide, Do homework or any activity where you need half your mind while you are alching.
  • Get a good friend to alch with you or talk to people with AIM or Msn.
  • Go to a populated world, because the chest respawns faster.
  • If it is your first time doing this or you are using the number pad trick(Information here) I would bring food, because when randoms damage you and the chest puts a gas bubble in it dealing a lot of damage to you.
.
======================

5.0 FAQ
Q: Do you need more then one lock pick?
A: No, because your lock pick will never break and you only need it when you walk through the door.

Q: Do you fail to disarm the trap?
A: No, as long as you have 28+ thieving you will succeed every time.

Q: How many nature runes do you get every hour?
A: Depending how fast and efficient you are you can get from 150 to 400 nature runes every hour.

Q: How much thieving experience do you get per hour?
A: Again it depends on how fast you are and it depends on how many natures you steal. You get 25 xp each time.

Q: How many alchemy spells can I cast in 1 hour?
A: Yet again it depends on if you click at the right times and steal the nats and make sure everything is in coordination. Around 400 at the very least if you are inefficient and 700 if you are 100% in the zone.

1.0 [ Introduction ]

What is it? Its a program that helps you print your computer screen, ideal for quickly taking pictures of kills from PKs,wars, leveling up, etc.

Why is this better than hitting PrintScreen on your keyboard? You can set it to where it can automatically save pictures for you so you don't have to paste in paint or photoshop and than create a title.

How does it work? Well as simple as this.

1. Select your settings you wish to use
2. Press your HotKey when you have the right circumstances of what you want to take a screenshot of
3. Find the picture you want by going to the folder you set it too
4. Select the picture you want to upload to your image hoster
5. Post image

2.0 [ Where to Download ]

Go to this site below:
http://www.gadwin.com/download/

Scroll down, it's under "Gadwin GeForms"

3.0 [ Recommended Settings ]

To get the best results when taking RuneScape screenshots, I recommend these settings.(Though you may change the HotKey you wish to use)

Posted ImagePosted Image

4.0 [ Frequently Asked Questions ]

Q: Can I edit screenshots with Gadwin?
A: No, it can only take the screenshots. You'll have to copy the image, and paste it into paint or select it in your folder and open it with paint from there to edit.

Q: What happens if I take a screenshot with the same name?
A: Simple as this, don't worry about it. Gadwin adds an "000" to your screenshots name. If your selected file name is "Flowers" it will appear in your folder as "Flowers001" and if you take another, "Flowers002".

Q: Can you select a region of the screen to take the picture?
A: Open up Gadwin, and go under the tab 'Source,' there you will be able to select the region of the screen you'll be screening. 'Client Window' is the best choice when taking RuneScape Screenshots.

Q: Is it normal to get this pop-up while downloading? Click here for image
A: Yes it is completely safe, and is normal. Your computer usually automatically sees it as a harm because of the .exe file, but it is completely safe I assure you. If you do not trust Gadwin, just simply scan the file before opening it ^_^

This guide is to demonstrate a 'semi-unknown' method for training the Hunter skill. I've known about it for a while but haven't posted due to thinking everyone else knew about it.

The training method is falconry. Most people will tend to resort to methods like hunting salamanders to get to the epic level 80. However, I've found my method to be somewhat more effective. Starting from level 43, you can begin this method. All you need is 500gp. However, to get to the falconry area quickly, you can use the Fairy Ring code AKQ to be teleported just west of the area. This requires the completion of A Fairy Tale Pt. 2, and either a dramen staff or lunar staff. Teleport from the Zanaris fairy ring.

Once you're at the area, which is south of the Piscatoris fishing colony and northwest of the Tree Gnome Stronghold, jump over the stile on the north fencing. Pay Matthias 500gp, and begin hunting kebbits. To increase level gain, as soon as you capture a kebbit, immediately drop the kebbit fur. You can either choose to bury the bones after catching 25 or 26, or you can drop them, too. This is an effective way to obtain Zombie emotes, if you don't already have them. If you do, it's simply free Prayer experience.

I understand how some players may be skeptical at first, thinking that falconry is a method reserved for newer players. Quite honestly, I can agree with that. Regardless, falconry stands as the Willows or Iron ore of Hunter: exceptionally quick experience in the stat for moderate players that sacrifices monetary gain. This method can yield several hundred-thousand experience in the stat per day, if you're committed and have motivation to give it a chance.

Leave your questions, comments, thoughts and concerns, and I'll try my best to get back to them. :)

Introduction

As some of you may have read my blog, about my Rune pure or spoken to me in game, you may know my story already.
I recently began playing runescape again, from scratch, with the purpose of trying out the new features, new ways to make money, training areas etc etc. This enabled me to find new ways to make money at low levels, some obvious, some not so, some more effective than others.

Methods

Feathers Posted Image

The obvious one, everyone loves feathers.
Feathers can be used in the Fishing skill, more specifically fly fishing and Barbarian heavy-rod fishing.
They are most commonly collected from killing chickens, scattered across runescape, most notable areas include around Lumbridge and South-east of Falador.

Locations -
# Farm across from cow field, northwest of Lumbridge
# Fred's farm, across from cabbage field north of Lumbridge
# Farm south of Falador or North of Port Sarim

Chickens, also offer a good source of combat experiance at lower levels and are very good up until around level 10.

Collecting the feathers, and selling them on the GE will offer 5-6GP per feather.

Anchovies Posted Image Posted Image

Perhaps a less obvious, but one of my favourites.
I never realised, they sold for so much, until i went on wikia to check what level you needed to be until you burnt them. But lucky enough, I kept all mine in my bank before i realised this.
Anchovies are a food item available to non-members as well as members. Eating anchovies heals only 1 hitpoint, this is less than eating shrimp.

Cooking raw anchovies gives 30 Cooking experience points. Anchovies are not useful in training Cooking or for restoring hitpoints. However, they are an essential ingredient for anchovy pizzas, which players can make at level 55 Cooking, and which heal 18 hitpoints. This is the highest-healing non-members' food.

Players need level 15 Fishing to catch raw anchovies with a small net, and gain 40 experience per raw anchovies. This makes anchovies useful for training Fishing for players with a level of 15 to 19. However, due to there cost, i decided to net fish until level 30, in order to gain money.

A tip for gaining the maximum money, is using draynor fishing spot, instead of dropping shrimps, simply run to the nearby bank and deposit. This is much quicker than dropping then shrimp.

Anchovies sell for good prices both raw and cooked:
Raw: 112 coins
Cooked: 140 coins

Cowhides Posted Image

Another usefull one, when busy training combat.

This is another well used method of training your combat level and gaining profit at the same time.
Cows are a nice, steady step up from killing chickens, and can also be found around Lumbridge, with easy access to the bank in Lumbridge castle, but the fastest method is the cow field, South-East of Falador.

Cowhides are used to level crafting, and can be converted into soft leather at 1gp per piece or hard leather at 3gp per piece at a Tanner.

However singly cowhides can fetch 112GP per piece, an item well worth picking up.

Clay/Soft Clay Posted Image Posted Image

Clay, is a great wait to initially begin leveling that mining level.

Mining clay gives 5xp and can be mined at level 1, the best places to mine clay is South-West of Varrock, which is a relative small journey from varrock east bank.

Clay goes for around 99GP per piece at the GE, which is a nice earner, while leveling your mining.

Soft Clay, can be made by applying a bucket of water (Bucket used with Well) on clay. This is simple, but often boring process, however this converts your once 99GP item to a 170GP item, often well worth the hassle at a lower level.

Soft clay is used in crafting to create pottery.

Copper Posted Image

Another great method of gaining money and leveling mining is copper.

Copper is worth over double the price of its counter-part tin, which is used together to create bronze bars for smithing. This is due to ever so popular Minotaurs and other creatures, dropping noted tin at a higher rate than noted copper.

The most common place to mine copper is at the South-East Varrock mine, with 9 copper rocks and in close proximatey to the East Varrock Bank.

Copper can be mined at level 1, and gives 17.5XP per piece. This is a quicker way to level mining however it does not yield as much cash, giving 77GP per piece

Rune Essence Posted Image

Rune Essence is only able to be mined after completion of the rune mysterious quest.

Players receive the same amount of XP as clay whilst mining rune essence, 5XP per piece, and receive less money on selling. However in my opinion, Rune Essence mines quicker than clay, and is quicker the bank. Ultimately, giving a greater amount of money against time.

The best place to mine Rune Essence, is by teleporting from Aubury (Varrock Magic Shop) and using the East Varrock bank.

Rune Essence sells for 42GP per piece.

StrongholdsPosted Image Posted Image

In both Stronghold of Security and Safety, a lump of cash is available. This is a great starter, to buy weapons and armour with, and should be used wisely. Think of it as a Runescape Grant.

Stronghold of Security, contains 4 levels, and at the end of each level a reward is present in the chest.
First Level - 2000GP
Second Level - 3000GP
Third Level - 5000GP
Forth Level - Fancy or Fighting Boots (Once Recovery Questions are set).

Stronghold of Safety, contains just one chest, which gives you:
10000GP and Safety Gloves, great gloves to use once you start.

This equates to 20k GP for FREE. Well worth spending the time doing and is possible first time, running through the Strongholds with food, trying to dodge the creatures.

Disclaimer

These may not be the best methods, but are ones I used to gain money and increase my levels. I will spice this guide up with pictures and better formatting when I can be bothered, but the detail is there for now.
Any other methods for Lower-Level F2P Money Making, simply tell me and I'll add them on.

This is for use by TSL and Zybez and is not to be posting anywhere without my permission.

1.0 - Introduction
» Welcome to Gaining EP Efficiently
» In this guide I will show you how to Gain massive amounts of EP (Earn Potential) without dying as often or not losing objects. You will need 71 hunter and a few imp box's.

2.0 - Getting Magic Boxes
To get Imp Boxes I would recommend buying them from the Grand Exchange and waiting, but if you want them faster you can get them from one of the two hunter shop owners (Which are located inside of Yanille and Nardah). I recommend the GE over the shops because the shops now have a limited amount.

3.0 - Using Imp Boxes
Now that you have your Magic Imp Boxes you need to catch an imp, you can find them across RuneScape. Most are inside of major cities like Varrock and Falador but are found roaming about RuneScape. When you catch one you are ready for EP gaining!
Posted Image

Now grab two items or less that total out to be 76k or more and get out to the wild. When someone deadly attacks you or a clan looks poised and ready to attack you click 'Bank' on the box and click your two items on the interface of the box. Now your items are banked and you are safe to die and you won't lose ep because you won't have to teleport!

4.0 - Good Locations for hiding
In my opinion the best place to hide is a random place towards the middle of the wild, because if you get it right you won't be generally found. Another good place is by the wildy lever, because since the update to go from Edgeville to there no one really uses it. Also they have lag from teleporting so that is time for you to bank your items if your scared. Posted Image
Lastly my favorite place is on one of the random sides of the wilderness volcano so if anyone comes and you don't want to waste an imp box you can go through the cave and run towards the bank where it is safe.
