Hey everyone. To start off, I want to say I LOVE the new interface, but the efficiency could be better. That's why I suggest these suggestions!

THE CONTACTS LIST

When this will be introduced, the Friends list and Ignore list do not exist anymore: it will be under the 'Contacts tab'. The main idea is tabs. You would have 6 different tabs: 4 Friend tabs, 1 Ignore tab, and 1 Channel tab. Next to each tab, you can see how many more players you can add to a tab. If really necessary, F2P players could have only 50 names per tab.

: If the green character is next to a tab’s name, it is a Friends tab. If the character is red, it’s an Ignore tab. And if there are 3 yellow characters, it is a Channel tab. When you click on the pencil icon, you can edit the name of the tab. When you click on the trashcan icon, you will delete all names in that tab (you will get a warning).

Offline messaging: When clicking on the Offline Message button, you can send a message which the player will receive when the player logs in. The player won’t receive the message when you’re on the player’s Ignore tab, or if you aren’t on any of their Friend tabs while they have their Private option turned on Friends or Offline.

Edit: There should also be a "hide" button to hide tabs, so you can see more names of a tab.



THE CHANNEL TAB

In the Channel tab, you can add (the owners of) chat channels. You can see what your rank is, if the owner is online, if you can enter the chat, and if LootShare is turned on. When you click on the name of a channel (and there isn’t a cross next to the door (3rd) icon), you will automatically enter the clan chat channel.

: The first icon shows your rank in the channel, the second icon shows if the owner is online, the third icon shows if you can enter the chat, and the last icon shows if LootShare is on. If there is a pile of coins next to the bag, CoinShare is on, too. If a red cross is next to the icon, it can also mean that you are not allowed to use LootShare in their channel.

PLAYER SUGGESTIONS FOR THIS IDEA

A nice way to organize the friend system, most people's lists are a chaotic mess and sometimes you can just add somone and not talk to them for a while and then forget in the end who they are. Also the clan chat memory system is much needed imo, it's alot easier to double click a clan chat name and enter over remembering the person's name and what the clan chat was for.

Great suggestion, but I think theres too many friend list? And, if loads of people Off-line message one people, will it appear like normal private message when he logs on?if it do, the private message would be "bombed", doesn't work. It might work better if you add some sort of mail box, and let you store them, and view the message of your own chose. But there would be still one more disadvantage, if some famous player such as Zezima, his/her private message will be "bombed" and will surely lag out, because millions of player would off-line message him

This looks pretty nice, i'd think it was a pretty good improment from what the freinds list deal we have right now. I always add people and have no idea who they are. Good thinking and I like the pictures, they helped move it along.

Yea they need to organize the new interface some more. I don't need separate tabs for quests and achievement diaries.
They should combine those like before. And same thing with the chats. I don't need separate tabs for Friends/Ignore/CC.
I never go into the ignore tab unless to add someone.

That is pure genius, its a problem what happens to me all the time, adding people randomly at GE when removing em your not sure if you know them or not.

Mabye make it so offline messaging only works if your both on eachothers friends list. Privat messaging could work with only of you added, but offline messaging would require you to be on the other player's friends list.

It reminds me of bank tabs, but we all definently needed those. This is a great suggestion and one I could certaintly use in Runescape. I think this could also make room for other interfaces, that could be useful for future skills.

The contact list is the only suggestion yet. The channel tab is part of it.
