A lot of RuneScape players making suggestions about Dragon defender.

In one of the questions, Jagex moderator answered, that Dragon pickaxe will be in the future (now we have it folks!).

But, I am suggesting dragon defender, when Dragon boots, Full helm came, rune defender do not really matches...

I think Dragon Defender could give the same bonus as a rune defender, but 1 more strenght bonus, or the same strenght bonus, but little more atack bonus (or/and dont give minus magic bonus).

Dragon defender could be droped by cyclops (or other monsters) and it could be untradeble, or it could drop other monsters (like Mithril dragons or new monsters), and it could be tradeble.

I made my simple picture/model (I think the spikes could be slightly different and it could have two more little white,dragon style spikes, but then these would be red) :

It should be untradable and dropped by a high lvl monster- like abyssal head from demons etc.

Yes dfs is good, but not really maches with full dragon and if Dragon defender could be untradeble you could pk with it.

Your idea is not nearly expanded, nor confident enough to be effective.

Get a set idea where you think it should drop, and work with it.

Personally, I think dropping from the Cyclopes is too over-done and, quite simply, too boring to be worth the addition when you can just buy a Dragon-Fire Shield.

But you can't pk with dfs and dfs costs way more.

Idea about new monster or Dragon defender from mithril dragons is not bad.

It would be pretty cool if you would have to collect 5 rune defenders to get into the area/arena to be able to fight the monsters that drop the dragon defenders.

No need for a dragon defender, I wish they would take away some strength bonuses. You can already hit 30/30+ specs with a dds, and 40+ with a whip. No need to give strength another boost.

i would like a dragon defender,
but on the other hand, i see how it could over power melee more then it already is.
huge STR bonus = hitting a lot more then range or mage ever could.
but i think instead of mith drags, just make a new cyclops thats like lvl 105 in the warrior guild, it at least should still have to use warrior guild tokens.

The point of PKing is risk versus reward. If you don't risk anything more than 20 minutes at the Warriors' Guild for an inventory full, you lose that whole concept and the quality of work and money invested into PKing would slip even more.

Make it drop from a father cyclops that you need 2 rune defenders to access AND make it tradable!

here is my elaborate idea.

KBD or other dragons drops corrupt dragon blood.
You can use 10 rune bars and the corrupt blood to make molten dragonite.

Then you can use the dragonite with a furnace and a rune defender if you are 80 smith or pay the guy at the blast furnace 500k to do it for you.
Then you get the defender.

It has a 5+ more attack and str bonus and has the defence of a addy sq.
It has a special (activates randomly) that increases strength by 10%

It isnt tradable, though the molten dragon and the corrupt blood is.

Maybe when you get all defenders, you talk to Kamfreena and you'll move into a larger room where you get to fight a higher level Cyclops(Cyclops King?: Level 130?) and he'll drop the defender.

How about you make it tradeable but you need to do a hard quest to use and obtain. Sort of like most of the other dragon weapons.

Was thinking about this the other day, I think however it would sort of put the DFS abit out of place. I do however think we will see this update late this year, perhaps early next. Hang in there :)

Should be 7+ str and higher attack bonus but lower defense then the dfs

The dragon defender would cost you relatively nothing in comparizon to a dfs wouldnt it? Assuming the method of getting one is similar to the aquisition of all defenders. Its definately worth considering dude, nice thinking Seeing as so many items with the bronze through to steel through to rune category have gone on to have the dragon option i dont see why the defender isnt an option worth exploring. However its stat bonuses would have to be considerably lesser than a dfs, because if they arent, they become "the cheaper but just as effective option"... That would lead to dfs prices plummitting init? Good idea though im definately for it

You also have a perfectly feasible shield that gives great stats. Why not just be content with that, rather than crashing the market with this?

Besides, if this was tradable, it would be much more expensive than the Dragon-Fire Shield and many people would grind on them, effectively turning them into the new Abyssal Whip, worth much less than it should be.

It's simply to nonviable to the game's long-term effects when there's a perfectly good shield for balance. Don't like that it takes effort and money to get it? Grind for money.
