1.0 - Introduction
Here I will introduce you to the beast, its stats, where to find it, what you need to do to kill it, and what levels you should have to kill it.
The Corporeal Beast, the newest major boss in Runescape.

It has 2000 Hit points
Hits with all 3 types of attacks
Max with Mage – 65 (no prayer)
Max with Range – 55
Max with Melee 51
Quest – Yes
Members – Yes
Aggressive – Yes
You will not receive a gravestone upon death, but look at section 5.0 for how to possibly get a few items back.
Max hits may be slightly off due to updates in rs and mistakes.
The red line shows the path from Bounty Hunter. The green line shows the path from Clan Wars.

Must have completed the following:
Spirit of the Summer
Summer's End
Recommendations to fight the Beast
Keep in mind these are not requirements, you can fight the beast with lower levels, but these are the levels I suggest you get before you start fighting the beast as a permanent source of income. It makes to much easier to find teams and you will be dealing more damage.
For All
110+ Combat (to get into teams) unless you're 95+ Range
80+ Hitpoints (He hits quite high)
50-60+ Prayer (only 37 is needed for protect from mage, but it's recommended it be higher so you can last longer)
For Rangers:
90+ Ranged (or 80+ with a cannon)
For Meleers:
90+ Attack/Stength
2.0 – Gear and Inventory Setups.
In this section, I will show you what to bring for gear and in the inventory. This includes range, melee and range/melee hybrid setups. Mage is not suggested here. I have tested maging my self, and it splashed almost evey time. If you'd like to suggest a spell for me to try, please respond to this guide.
Ranged Setups
Ranged is very effective at Corporeal Beast, mainly because of the ruby bolts (e) special. The beast has 2000 hp, so it will hit 100 when it's at full hp. I find range hits more than melee, but it is more expensive because you have to pay for all of your bolts. You also have to level range, which is much harder and more boring than leveling attack/strength.
Basic Setup

Helm: Archer Helm > Proselyte Helm
Amulet: Amulet of Fury > Amulet of Glory
Torso: Dragonhide Body
Legs: Dragonhide Chaps
Boots: Snakeskin Boots
Cape: Ava's Accumulator
Weapon: Runite C'bow
Gloves: Barrows Gloves > Black Spiky Vambs
Arrows: 100-200 Ruby Bolts (e)
Shield: God Book > Anything With a Prayer Bonus > (Blessed) Spirit Shield*
Ring: Ring of Life
*It is a rumor that blessed or regular spirit shields reduce damage taken by the beast. I don't know the facts on this, so I'm putting it down as a possibility. It's all up to you.
Void Setup

Helm: Void
Amulet: Amulet of Fury > Amulet of Glory
Torso: Void
Legs: Void
Boots: Snakeskin
Cape: Ava's Accumulator
Weapon: Runite C'bow
Gloves: Void
Bolts: 100-200 Ruby Bolts (e)
Shield: God Book > Anything With a Prayer Bonus > (Blessed) Spirit Shield*
Ring: Ring of Life
*It is a rumor that blessed or regular spirit shields reduce damage taken by the beast. I don't know the facts on this, so I'm putting it down as a possibility. It's all up to you.
This is a very risky setup, with these items, you will lose the void helm and gloves, which means you will have to get another 150 pc points to get them back. This setup is only advised for very experienced people.
Ranged Inventories
With a Cannon

Breakdown:
2 Prayer Potions (4)
1 Ranged Potion (4)
Cannon Parts + Balls (200 Should do.)
1 Teleport to House Tablet (any tele tab will do)
The rest should be sharks
Without a Cannon

Breakdown:
2 Prayer Potions (4)
1 Ranged Potion (4)
1 Teleport to House Tablet (any tele tab will do)
The rest should be sharks
It is helpful to take 50 diamond bolts (e) in place of a shark. You should use these once the beast gets to 1/4 hp, because at that point the ruby bolts (e) special will not hit as high, and you will just be wasting hitpoints.
Melee Setups
Meleeing is the next best option to ranging here. The beast is weak to stab attacks, so you should take one of the weapons listed below. Melee is more popular than range, because you don't have to pay for your bolts. It's also easier to train attack/strength than range, so you'll find that more people will be meleeing at Corporeal Beast than ranging.
Proselyte Setup

Helm: Helm of Neitiznot > Proselyte
Amulet: Amulet of Fury > Amulet of Glory
Torso: Proselyte
Legs: Proselyte
Boots: Dragon Boots > Climbing Boots
Cape*: Skill Cape (t) > Skill Cape > Obsidian Cape > Legends Cape
Weapon: Zamorakian Spear > Dragon Halbred > Dragon Spear
Gloves: Best RFD Gloves > Combat Bracelet
Arrows: None
Shield: None
Ring: Ring of Life
*A fire cape is not recommended here as it will be lost on death most of the time
Void Setup

Helm: Void
Amulet: Amulet of Fury > Amulet of Glory
Torso: Void
Legs: Void
Boots: Dragon Boots > Climbing Boots
Cape: Fire Cape*/Skill Cape (t) > Skill Cape > Obsidian Cape
Weapon: Zamorakian Spear > Dragon Halbred > Dragon Spear
Gloves: Void
Arrows: None
Shield: None
Ring: Ring of Life
*Since you're risking so much in this setup, you might as well go ahead and take a fire cape. If you have more than one, you are even more encouraged to take one. This setup if more used for massacres though, as it focuses more on attack bonuses than defence. This is not a guide to massacring, but void is also effective in teams if you're experienced and careful.
This is the most risky setup in my guide. Upon death, you will lose all 4 pieces of your void knight armour, which is 800 pc points. I bet you don't want to do that all over again. It is extremely affective though, causing you to hit frequent 40s.
Bandos Setup

Helm: Helm of Neitiznot > Proselyte Helm
Amulet: Amulet of Glory
Torso: Bandos Chestplate
Legs: Bandos Tassets
Boots: Dragon Boots > Climbing Boots
Cape*: Skill Cape (t) > Skill Cape > Obsidian Cape > Legends Cape
Weapon: Zamorakian Spear > Dragon Halbred > Dragon Spear
Gloves: Best RFD Gloves > Combat Bracelet
Arrows: None
Shield: None
Ring: Ring of Life
*A fire cape is not recommended here as it will be lost on death most of the time.
This setup is really not that risky as long as you make some sacrifices (glory instead of fury.) As long as you keep the spear, and bandos chest/tassets, you're safe.
Guthan's Setup

Helm: Guthan's
Amulet: Amulet of Glory
Torso: Guthan's
Legs: Guthan's
Boots: Dragon Boots > Climbing Boots > Rune Boots
Cape: Skill Cape (t) > Skill Cape > Obsidian Cape > Legends Cape
Weapon: Guthan's Warspear
Gloves: Combat Bracelet*
Arrows: None
Shield: None
Ring: Ring of Life
*I took a combat bracelet instead of barrows gloves here, because otherwise you will not keep the spear upon death, even with protect item.
This setup is very useful because of the high stab bonus and Guthan's set effect of occasionally healing. This can help you use less food, and last longer. You must keep protect item on when fighting the beast, because otherwise you won't protect the spear. You should assure the spear is in your top 4 items before using this setup.
Verac's Setup

Helm: Verac's
Amulet: Amulet of Glory*
Torso: Verac's
Legs: Verac's
Boots: Dragon Boots > Climbing Boots > Rune Boots
Cape: Skill Cape (t) > Skill Cape > Obsidian Cape > Legends Cape
Weapon: Verac's Flail
Gloves: Best RFD Gloves > Combat Bracelet
Arrows: None
Shield: None
Ring: Ring of Life
*I took a Glory instead of a Fury, because otherwise, you will not keep the helm upon death, even if you use protect item.
This setup is very effective because you get a high stab bonus, and the set effect of Verac's, which is the occasional ability to hit through your opponent's defences. This means you will hit more accurately. You should always have protect item on when fighting the beast with this setup. You should also make sure the helm is in your top 4 items protected.
Melee Inventories
With a Cannon

Breakdown:
2 Prayer Potions (4)
1 Super Attack/Strength Potion (4)
Full Cannon + Cannonballs (200 should do)
1 Teleport to House Tablet (can be any tele tab)
The rest should be sharks
Without a Cannon

Breakdown:
2 Prayer Potions (4)
1 Super Attack/Strength Potion (4)
1 Teleport to House Tablet (can be any tele tab)
The rest should be sharks
Ranged/Melee Hybrid Setups
Hybriding is normally used by people with a cannon, or a high range level (95+.) It is a very useful thing to do, because you get the power of ranging, and the special attacks from meleeing. Also if you find you're hitting a dry streak, try switching to the other type for a quarter kill then switching back.
Basic Setup
This is the most basic hybrid setup I know of, I bet there are more complex ones, but for now I recommend this.

Helm: Helm of Neitiznot > Proselyte Helm > Archers Helm
Amulet: Amulet of Fury > Amulet of Glory
Torso: Black Dragonhide Body
Legs: Proselyte
Boots: Snakeskin Boots > Dragon Boots > Climbing Boots
Cape: Ava's Accumulator
Weapon: Runite C'bow
Gloves: Best RFD Gloves > Black Spiky Vambs
Arrows: 100-200 Ruby Bolts (e)
Shield: God Book > Anything with a prayer bonus > (Blessed) Spirit Shield*
Ring: Ring of Life
*It is a rumor that blessed or regular spirit shields reduce damage taken by the beast. I don't know the facts on this, so I'm putting it down as a possibility. It's all up to you.
Hybrid Inventory

Breakdown:
2 Prayer Potions (4)
1 Ranged Potion (4)
1 Zamorakian Spear/Dragon Halbred/Dragon Spear
1 Teleport to House Tablet (any tele tab will do.)
3.0 – The Fight
So you're all ready to go with your equipment and inventory, but before you start the fight, you must first understand what to do. Don't worry it's pretty easy.
Your team should look something like this when fighting the Corporeal Beast.

Luring the Beast/Potting Up for the Fight
Before entering the fray with your team, I've found that it's beneficial to have one team mate lure the Beast over to the entrance of the cave (displayed in picture.) To do this, run into the cave (with protect from mage and protect item on) until you see the beast, and once it attacks you run back out of the entrance. Position it like it is in the picture. I've found that while it's at the entrance, it will move around less. This makes it easier to run under it and get him off you faster. This is also known as the "Eastern/Western Method" which you will find most advanced teams using.

Once your whole team is gathered here with ls/cs on and you're all ready to go, you should pot up. I don't recommend super restores/brews here just because they're more expensive and they don't help me much. If you do take them though, drink dose of brew, then restore, then range pot. If not just drink the dose of range pot. Turn on protect from mage and optional protect item. Meleers want to use piety if they have a high prayer level (80+), and rangers may want to use hawk eye.
Upon Entering
Upon entering the cave, this is what you and your team should do. Have everyone run in with their prayers on except the beast who lured the beast over. Once everyone is in, set up any cannon the group has, and starting attacking. The person who lured the beast should now enter and start attacking. Form a circle around the beast to make him turn around as much as possible in between attacks.
Running Away From the Core
Keeping away from the dark energy core the beast shoots out is essential to efficiently killing the beast. If you follow this guide correctly, you should take little damage from both, but if you do take a lot of damage, you'll normally find most of it is from the core. As soon as you see the core fly to you and stop, run to the opposite side of the beast. If you move fast enough, he will move on without dealing any damage. However, after this time, he will hit you for 4-10 hp each second. This hp will be transferred to the beast. Most of the time, no matter how many cannons you have, the core will still encounter you at least a few times a kill. This is why you must always be paying attention at Corporeal Beast. See the picture for an example of when to run for the beast. A lot of the time he will fly right under you.

When the Beast Targets You
As soon as you notice the beast is attacking you, run directly under it and try to stay in the area I circled in red in the second picture. Stay there for about 3-5 seconds (or until he stops dancing.) While under the beast, eat as many sharks as necessary to get back up to full hp of at least 80+. Then you should run out from him and continue attacking and dodging the core until he targets you again. A particularly frustrating circumstance is when the core happens to be located under the beast where you are standing when you run under. This is definitely one of the most lethal situations you will face and should be addressed immediately. You can either run to a different spot under the beast, or run out from the beast altogether. The problem with the first is that you may run too far out and get attacked again. The problem with the second is that he may still be on you, which means you will get attacked again, possibly killing you if you were already at low hp (40-).)

After the Fight
After each kill, you and your team must decide if you want to go for another kill or bank and get supplies. Sometimes you'll find that a couple team members will leave after 1-2 because they got hit especially bad that round. Keep track of how many team members you have, some teams can manage a kill with only 5 or 6 people, but if you're just starting off I don't suggest you try it with less than 7. Once you're out of supplies, you can use your teleport tab, and bank there. If you brought a home tele tab, you can recharge your prayer at home, then tele to a bank and then to Bounty Hunter where you can restock on food. I suggest you don't try a kill with less than 8 sharks. While you might have a lucky kill where you only lose 2-3 sharks, the next round could as bad to lose 11. If you decide to stay, gather around the spawn and be ready to turn on protect form magic. Have the cannoners set up their cannons near the spawn.
4.0 – The Rewards
Ahh, what good is a boss with a drop. Here's a full drop list for the Corporeal Beast.
Well what good is a boss without a reward. Unlike many other bosses, almost every drop from Corporeal Beast is worth some value. He will drop 13 charms and one item drop. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to get a sigil or holy elixir, lootshared or coinshared they're good drops. Though I'd say 175 onyx (e) bolts (around 1.5m) isn't so bad either.
Rare Drops – No one knows the drop rates yet, but from what I've seen an elixir comes every 20-30 kills, and a sigil every 50-75+. It's totally random though, so don't expect much. I once met a guy who got an arcane sigil on his 4th kill. There drops are all coinshared.
Elsyian Sigil
Divine Sigil
Arcane Sigil
Blessed Sigil
Spectral Sigil
Holy Elixir
Spirit Shield
Good Drops – These drops are not coinshared, and are worth less, but should all still be picked up.

5.0 – Extras
Here I've compiled all the information that didn't pertain to any other section of the guide, but I still thought was important.
Finding a Team
So you're ready to go out and fight the beast, but first you need to find a team. You'll rarely find you have 7-11 friends on who are willing to go with you, so I suggest the Runescape Forums. Ok, added in the new forums system of finding a team which is, in my opinion, way less organized than the stickies, but I have to put the right information down here lol.
Go to the Runescape homepage, and across the top toolbar, select Community, scroll down once and select Forums.

From here, go to the Community forums, and click the PvM (Players vs. Monster) Forums.

Once there, look for a team in this forum.

Combat Requirement
Range Requirement
Attack/Strength Requirement
Weapon Requirement (bolts for rangers, weapons for meleers)
Lootshare or Coinshare
Whose Clan Chat
How many people will be coming
Here's an example of a good post I found. Note, I don't have 125 combat or 90 range, but I got into this team because of my cannon. I was happy with this team, we did well and on the last kill, after 3 people had left, we got a 2.46m Holy Elixir Split (7-Man Split.)

Returning on Death
While you do not receive a gravestone at Corporeal Beast, it is still possible to recover some of your items. This is a rather simple strategy. What you do is, when you die, run to the nearest bank and withdraw a games necklace, 15 food (monkfish+), a teleport tablet, and optionally 2-3 super restore potions (4). Teleport to Clan Wars with your games necklace, and run all the way northwest to the dungeon. Run back to the cave and enter with protect from mage and protect item on. Hopefully your team is not there, but if they are that's ok too. Run over to where you drop your items and rapidly click on the pile. If no one is there and the beast is one you, pick up as many things as you can and eat as fast as possible. Once you have picked up all your items (or run out of food) teleport away with your tablet. Of course if people are there, this is much easier, as you will be able to pick up items without being attacked. Drop/eat food the make space as necessary and then teleport to a bank. Mission accomplished. If anyone has a picture of themselves recovering items upon death, I'd be glad to have it. Also if you die or teleport away and leave your cannon set up, you will have approximately 10 minutes to return and pick it up again.
Example of someone returing to retrieve items upon death.

Summoning
Summoning is not very useful at Corporeal Beast, because while you will be able to keep your familiar with you for a while, as soon as the beast targets you, it will eat your familiar. This means you can take a familiar, but you will have to take 3-4 for it to be very useful. As you can see, the person in the picture above is using unicorn stallions, which with bunyips are probably the most common. You could take a beast of burden, but you'd be filling the newly summoned one back up so often, it's hardly worth it. The one I suggest the most is the spirit terrorbird. I highly recommend it to cannoners, just fill it up with 4 sharks, and after you've set up your cannon, get the sharks and dismiss your bird. It's very cheap at only 326 gp a pouch. It can also be filled with extra sharks, and then you and your team can feed on those sharks until they disappear. You can also take some scrolls, and drop them when you get to the entrance and fill the space with a shark. This will allow you to run all the way there Here's an example of what I normally take in my bird.

For Fun
Note this doesn't have any relevance to the guide, it's just something one of my friends found one day and I found it pretty funny. Whoever went into the room would be piled by all the cores after 2 seconds, and most likely died. He said he stood in there for 2 seconds and went to 2 hp. One person was offering a Regen Bracelet to anyone who stayed in there for 3 seconds.

6.0 - Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is is possible to duo/trio/4-Man Corporeal Beast?
» A: I would not suggest it to anyone unless they have loads of experience here. I don't think you should do it, because you probably need 99 range, 130+ combat, and cannons for all people. I'm pretty sure it is possible to duo (even solo) him, as I've seen someone advertising for a duoing partner on the forums before. Either way this guide is directed towards people taking teams of 8-12.
