Basic SwiftKit Forum Rules

1. No Flaming or Spamming.
2. Before making a topic check the manual (Help > Manual) or the SwiftKit Knowledgebase.
3. SK is not a keylogger. Make a topic saying it is, and it will be removed and your rating deducted. If you don't trust it, don't use it.
4. If you are having problems with SwiftKit. There are 3 things I want you to check before you make a post about it. (1) Your version of Java is Up-To-Date. You can go here and download the latest Sun Java version. (2) You have Visual Basic runtime enviroment installed. You can find that here.
(3) Your firewall is not blocking SwiftKit. There are many different firewalls out there and this is a common problem. Make sure SwiftKit is allowed to go to the internet.
5. SwiftKit is only available for Microsoft Windows. There is no Mac or Linux version, and chances are there will never be one. Do not ask.
6. The combat calculator is not 100%...just like all the others. Don't post about it.
7. SwiftKit is not against Jagex's rules.
8. Do not post problems with SwiftSwitch. Support no longer available for SwiftSwitch, if you are still using it we strongly urge you to upgrade to SwiftKit.

SwiftKit has been used by hundreds of thousands of players for a number of years as a RuneScape Toolkit. Until recently, it was known as ‘SwiftSwitch’, and it is still just as safe as it was before.

There are over 1,600,000 total downloads of SwiftKit, and approximately 15,000 users using it at any time.

Remember though, the safety of SwiftKit can only be guaranteed if it is downloaded directly from http://www.SwiftKit.net, http://www.Zybez.net or http://www.download.com. These are the only sites where you can be sure your copy of SwiftKit is safe and legal.

SwiftKit has been scanned using a variety of reputable Anti-Virus Software, with the results of these scans available at the bottom of this post, so that you can be comfortable in knowing that you don’t just have to take our word for it. We encourage you to scan every file you download from the internet yourself too. After all, it’s better to do extra prevention than to spend time curing.

If your worried about the updates SwiftKit downloads; don’t! It is not possible for malicious updates to be pushed out via the SwiftKit Launcher. The reason for this is because the Launcher protects you from any unofficial updates, for example the unlikely event that an update server ever got compromised. The launcher does this by checking the integrity of all updates downloaded, if the integrity check fails it will immediately stop the update and delete the file.

When connecting to RuneScape, SwiftKit connects directly to RuneScape.com using the Internet Explorer control. This means that it's the same as simply opening your browser and typing in www.runescape.com. As such, connecting to RuneScape through SwiftKit is just as safe as connecting through your internet browser.

Remember, although SwiftKit is safe, there are other websites and programs that aren’t. No matter how safe you are, you are constantly at risk while connected to the internet. There are some websites that will download a virus to your computer without your knowledge, and pirated music, videos and software very often have viruses contained in the data. It is recommended that you use a firewall while connected to the internet to prevent unauthorized programs sending data from your computer, and regularly run a virus scan on your computer, preferably at least every fortnight. Preventing is easier than fixing.
