The Clan World Outside Of The Top 10

Although the clan world is significantly smaller than it used to be there are still enough to populate a scene outside of the top 10. Years ago when the top ranked clans list commonly included the top 30, and sometimes even extended to the top 50, smaller clans were striking up alliances and rivalries left and right.

Now that the clan scene has cooled you don't see anywhere near the amount of action outside of the top 10...some days the top 5. We all know that there is a clan scene outside of the top 10, but most of us look at the topics and think "who?" It would be nice if some people/clans outside of the top 10 could fill in the community on what's happening.

At the moment I really don't know what is happening, but it seems like a lot of clans cling to clan wars. I really don't understand why because clan wars has no risk/reward to make you want to do better. I don't know about the rest of you, but I do enjoy the part about making other people lose stuff while trying to not lose my own. Dangerous mode doesn't even compare because it's a straight up waste in my opinion.

Leaders of small clans years ago had more guts. Going back to my comment above regarding clan wars, I suppose that is playing it safe. Leaders need to step it up and expand beyond their comfort zone. Better clans aren't barriers, they are only obstacles in the way of you becoming better...can you overcome them?

If you were to choose a clan to grow and begin contending for the top 10...who would you choose? Why?
Even though my old clan broke off of them and at one point I would have liked nothing better than for them to die...I have to say Wilderness Guardians. They keep things interesting when they are around...sometimes in very odd ways. I think the fact that they are a different style of clan would alter the top 10 in a good way, and who wouldn't want the opportunity for another soundboard. :X

Leaving For Rival Clans

There have been many instances in the past and even more so in recent months, of people joining their rival clans. (the corr and co. etc..)

so the questions:

Is it fine for people to join a rival clan once they leave their current clan?
Is it alright to join a clan that you spent a good amount of time flaming in the past?
what circumstances might have you join your rival clan?
If you left for a rival clan in the past has it had any impact on your friends in the clan you used to be in?

A History Of Leadership For Df

Seeing as there have been topics discussing people such as Ghjjf and Saddampbuh, today, we will discuss a clan world figure named Legolas86880 He has led Df for a few years, and recently retired due to the Vr vs Df rivalry. Arguably he has been one of the starting factors to the crashing war, and now has left Df, for the 2nd time. Has this put a negative impact to Df?

Few discussion questions:
1. Will Df benefit from the old leadership basis, such as Legolas and a few others leaving Df?
2. Was it right for old Df leadership to mock other clans, beginning a few rivalries, then later leaving and putting the mess under new leadership?

Alliances Coming Back?

In the old days of clanning there were the alliances of TA and Golden alliance. Now it seems that the big alliance systems are coming back with the VR side and the Df/Rot side. I dunno about you guys but it makes clanning way more fun than what it was like half a year ago. Take the cluster on saturday for example. Now that cluster had VR, DK, Df, Corr, Rot, EoS, as well as smaller clans such as LF, HF, TK, Exo and CL.

Alliance Dk+ Brut + Vr+ Ff

So guys i had a question, as u can see the clans i mentioned: dk, Brut, FF, and vr . Are all in the alliance, f2p or p2p. As we all know Vr asked Rot for a truce, and tried to step out the alliance, unfortunately Rot declined this truce.

So i wondered and i asked myself and i will ask u my fellow clanners aka scapers.

What would happen with this alliance if one of this clans drop out and stopped teaming with each other in f2p and p2p. I will edit this to it, Dk + Vr + and Brutality needed 9 hours to defeat Corr + Rot + df in f2p. And Brut + ff + Vr got beaten in p2p within 3 hours by ROT in p2p. So what would happen if one of this mentioned clans would drop out (Dk + Brut + vr + ff) ?

Ps: Respect each others opinion and do not flame like little children.

Are Rot Becoming A Reckoned Force In F2P?

With the rivalry of VR and ROT nowadays getting real intense has RoT gained out of this? A few months back, during the DI era, RoT attempted to do F2P and pulled out of it because of boredom - maybe because there was no reason to keep doing F2P. However with recent events, RoT have managed to step back in F2P and do even 20 times as better as before. Just last night they went through 8 full complete hours of pounding their rivals, keeping steady and strong numbers, and being able to break through main piles like a hurricane hitting the east coast of US. There was obviously no drive before but now they have something else to do it for. Most of RoT seems to be enjoy F2P only because of VR.

Even the supposedly #1 F2P clan took just a little over 8 hours (Week prep as well) to bore RoT out of the wilderness (Being RoT's their first fight in F2P in a while). What is there to come? What do we expect from RoT next? A new #1 F2P & P2P clan?

Do you think it's VR losing power or RoT quickly gaining power and overpowering their rival?
Do you think RoT are becoming a reckoned force in F2P?
Do you see VR being able to stop this quickly growing force?

Well after seeing Prophecy and Vendetta working themselves up. DO you think it's possible to even collect enough members to form a new clan?

Has the amount of clanless people increased? Or Decreased in your opinion.

What Makes A Clan #1?

Well with the large long fight yesterday i am wondering what truly makes a clan #1. VR has fought every clan and it is accpeted that 1 vs 1 we are the strongest, 3 vs 1 we can win like yesterday but then we get accused of outlasting. so my question is What is a #1 clan, is it a clan that wins every fight, pulls the best, or lasts the longest?

As you've probably seen alot of clans has resorted to outlasting for several hours just to get a RSC (fansite) post on clan fights section.

I took VR as an example since they're known to outlast to please their FA's. Do not feel offended, you're not the only clan who outlasts, take RSD for another example. In P2P ofcourse, they're unbeatable in F2P at the moment.

My questions are

What will happen to clans who outlasts, will they ever gain respect? Will they be looked at as a joke?
If this trend countinues, do you see smaller clans such as Exodus, who only fights for about 2-3 hours to follow this outlasting trend?

I've started playing Runescape back in september 2001, and after experiancing the "Clan World" for almost a decade, I'd like to make some brief summary on top Clans based on Each year startin from 2001 (start of Runescape I)
to now.

If you have something else in mind, please feel free to CRITICIZE this list.

2001 The Sabres <--- First Clan
2002 BDK/'THE' & Gladz <--- Early on, BDK had majority control of PVP, after disbanding, power shifted to the future members of The Alliance consisting of 'THE', Gladz, Jaguars, and Blacknights.
2003 MI/RSD<--- Early on, a clan named Malicious Intent comprised of top players dominated the pvp field, later, RSD took over that spot after defeating MI in several big fights.
2004 RSD/DI <--- Early on, RSD continued to maintain its dominance, but after disbanding, DI took over.
2005 DI
2006 DI/DS <--- Early on , DI had dominance, but it shifted to DS halfway thru.
2007 DS/DF <--- Early on , DS had dominance, but after disbanding, DF took over
2008 DF/TT <--- Early on , DF had dominance, which was challenged by TT.
2009 DF/VR <--- Early on, DF had dominance, which was constantly challenged by VR. This year however, there was no clear dominating force as NUMEROUS top 10 clans such as TT, Corr, DF, DI, and VR had a dip at the 1st spot at some point.

I've been reading these boards and took a keen interest in all clans for roughly 4 years, As well as that I'd say I've been contributing to both for the last 3. I've been in a selection of clans, all at different levels of clanning, and if there is one thing I've noticed it would have to be the recent decline in pride.

I'll use DF as my first example of this, 2 ago years they had a squeaky clean image in regards to most of the community - obviously a few clans begged to differ and would say that DF's were not as innocent as they claimed. Fast forward just 2 years and every topic made in DF public forum has a reply regarding an I.P that will be used to DDoS someone, how they intend to crash this clan or that clan or how they have used the aid of another clan to gain victory. I mean how could anyone possibly be proud of that? This topic isn't aimed at DF at all, I'm using them as an example as they were my online pride and joy at one period and it’s sad to see such a change.

What I’m trying to get at is why have we downgraded ourselves to such moronic behaviour? RSC is littered with immature baiting that is not even slightly intellectual; I mean what possible satisfaction can you get some crashing each other’s fights constantly? There’s more chance of you enjoying yourself at a funeral.

I'm aware that nothing I've said will be taken seriously, and I'll probably get called a Hypocrite. But if possible let’s see if we can get a debate to find out - What has changed in order to cause such a rapid shift in attitude?
